The flower girl was Alexis Martinez of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Joseph Martinez of Fayetteville.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple settled in Linden.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Ron Gaskins of Red Springs; Jeff Heefner of New Jersey; Jerel Eller of Sebring, Fla.; and Richard Averitte of Raleigh.

The bride is a graduate of Flora MacDonald Academy in Red Springs. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is a teaching assistant at North Carolina State University.

The groom received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. He is in computer graphics with Baker Roofing Co. in Raleigh.

After a honeymoon trip to Aruba, the couple settled in Raleigh.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Deanna M. Honeycutt of Godwin. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Monica S. Ruffin of Garland. The bridesmaids were Ashley C. Britt, Kimberly M. Pope and Cynthia K. Cox, all of Clinton; Patricia A. Burke of Jacksonville; and Stephanie B. Helvin of Esmont, Va. The ring bearer was Dylan L. Jacobs of Esmont, Va. The miniature bride was Caroline S. Kirby of Richmond, Va. The miniature groom was Robert N. Naylor of Newton Grove.

The best man was the groom’s brother, James C. Eldridge of Charlotte. The groomsmen were Glenn E. Best and Dwain L. Jackson, both of Clinton; James S. Carberry of Benson; Leo J. Mitchell of Goldsboro; James R. Shatterly of Raleigh; and Christopher T. Nunnery of Lake, Miss.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her master’s degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek. She is an elementary school teacher with the Sampson County Schools.

The groom received his bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University in Greenville. He is a superintendent with Futron Inc.

After a honeymoon trip to Sunset Beach, the couple settled in Clinton. Another honeymoon trip is planned for next June to Hawaii.

RALEIGH — Clara Delores King and Robert William Keefe, both of Dunn, were married icon at 11 a.m. on November 10, 2001, at The Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. The Rev. Dr. Robert C. Sawyer officiated.

The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmett James King of Roanoke Rapids. The bridegroom’s parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Barnes Keefe of Boston.

The bride wore an ivory ensemble with three-quarter length sleeves. The bodice featured hand-cut lace with rose and leaf satin appliques and pearl accents. The floor-length skirt consisted of silk crepe with tulip gore. She carried a bouquet of red roses and gardenias.

The bride was escorted by Gordon Leonard Price Jr. of Richmond,Va., a lifelong family friend. The matron of honor was Wanda Austin Gravitt of Angier. The maid of honor was Deborah Carol Griffith of Cary.

The best man was the groom’s brother-in-law, Francis George Hanson of Newport, R.I. The groomsmen were Frederick Maxwell Harvey Jr. and Donald W. Overby, both of Raleigh; Frederick W. Liverman of Norfolk, Va.; Timothy A. Noe of Fayetteville and Christopher A. Spillman of Blowing Rock.

The wedding was directed by Fyl Thompson. The wedding organist was Dwayne Holloway. The reception musicians were Charles Chicklis’ Moonlighters Orchestra.

A reception, hosted by the bridal couple, was held at the Capital City Club in Raleigh after the ceremony.

A dinner for the wedding party and out-of-town guests was hosted by the bridal couple at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh following the wedding rehearsal on November 9, 2001. Music was provided by Dr. Brett Wilson of Raleigh.

The bride is a graduate of St. Margaret’s School for Girls in Tappahannock, Va., and Stratford Hall School for Girls in Danville, Va. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and a juris doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law in Buies Creek. She did additional graduate study at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. She is the assistant attorney general with the North Carolina Department of Justice in Raleigh.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Townsend High School in Townsend, Mass. He received his bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Albany. The bridegroom is a retired chief warrant officer with the U.S. Army. Currently, he is a self-employed professional land surveyor in Garner.

The couple will live in Dunn.
