The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Dewey of Lucedale, Miss. The groom’s parents are Kristen McCormick of Franklin, Va., and Michael McCormick of Alexandria, Va. He is the stepson of Adriene Frasier-Darling of Alexandria, Va.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Dawn Clark of Jackson, Miss. The bridesmaids were Joyce Spinicchia, Angela Payne, Sonia Bielecki, Cathi Buie and Brenda Justice, all of Faytteville. The flower girl was Holly Payne of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Tyler Hutchinson of Jackson, Miss.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Tim McCormick of Radford, Va. The groomsmen were David McCormick of Charlotte; Mark Pelan of Omaha, Neb.; and Matt Spinicchia and Anastasio Vassilopanagos, both of Fayetteville.
The bride is a graduate of Campbell University in Buie’s Creek where she received her bachelor’s degree in health science. She is a respiratory therapy supervisor with Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The groom received his associate’s degree from the Community College of the Air Force. He is a C-130 loadmaster with the U.S. Air Force.
The couple plans to live in Ramstien Air Force Base in Germany.

The bridesmaids were Sally Sidham of Southport, N.C; Staci Poythress of Raleigh, N.C., and Christi O’Sullivan of Wilmington, N.C. The flower girl was Annie Reed of Wilmington N.C. The ring bearer was Ryan Maultsby of Fayetteville, N.C.
The best man was the groom’s cousin, Jeff Herring of Fayetteville, N.C. The groomsmen were Carey Ford and Dameion Natale, both of Wilmington, N.C.; Joey McLaughlin of Hope Mills, N.C.; and Chad Williams of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jones of Jackson Springs. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Stricklin of Fayetteville and Jim Schlee of Whitehouse, Texas.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor were the bride’s sister, Andrea Jones of Jackson Springs. The matron of honor was Misty Morgan of Aberdeen. The bridesmaid was Jill Ochtyun of Grand Island, N.Y. The flower girl was the groom’s niece, Ashley Schlee of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Sam Ward of Jackson Springs.
The best man was the groom’s stepfather, Delmar Stricklin of Fayetteville. The groomsmen were Jack Schlee and Dave Phillips, both of Fayetteville, and Jason Morgan of Aberdeen.
The bride and groom are graduates of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Both are chemists with Magellan Laboratories in Raleigh.
After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple settled in Cary.

Jack and Eva Sapp of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 22, 2001, with a renewal of their vows at the Main Post Chapel on Fort Bragg officiated by Chaplain St. John. The ceremony was followed by a sit-down luncheon for family and friends at Gates Four Golf and Country Club in Fayetteville.
Mr. and Mrs. Sapp were married
on September 22, 1951, in Germany. They have one daughter, Heidi Sapp Politi of San Antonio, Texas, and two grandchildren.
Assisting with the celebration were Dr. and Mrs. Kevin Kirk of Gates Four, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Zuroff of Fayetteville and Mr. Lee Politi of San Antonio, Texas.
Mrs. Sapp is the owner of Modelle Bridal & Formal Salon in Fayetteville. Mr. Sapp is a retired CW4 with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne where he served for 31 1/2 years.

The bridegroom’s parents are Linda W. Kersten of Estherville, Iowa, and the Rev. Arnold M. Walker of Gatlinburg, Tenn.
The bride wore a silk taffeta dress which was embroidered with pearls. Her veil was created of silk tulle. She carried a bouquet of cream and pale-pink roses tied with a white satin ribbon.

The bridesmaids were Susan Bowyer of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; Leslie Culp of High Point, N.C.; Peggy Hatch of St. Charles, Ill.; and Catherine Howard and Tricia Melvin, both of Wilmington, N.C. The junior bridesmaid was Charlene Walker of Maple Park, Ill. The ring bearer was Peter Hatch of St. Charles, Ill.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Thigpen of Pinehurst. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo J. Swink of Greensboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Thigpen of Goldsboro.
The bridegroom’s parents are Jane Jordan Huntley of Rome, Ga., and Dr. S. Wayne Huntley of Kennesaw, Ga. The bridegroom is the grandson of Sue Jordan of Rome, Ga.; the late Robert Lee Jordan; and Mrs. and Mrs. Johnnie Greene of Cowpens, S.C.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matrons of honor were the bride’s sisters, Mary Virginia Thigpen Sutton of Pinehurst and Elizabeth Thigpen Landry of Virginia Beach, Va. The bride is a graduate of North Moore High School in Robbins. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She graduated cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Ala. She was the associate editor of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was a 1994 North Carolina debutante in Raleigh. She is an attorney with Christian & Small LLP in Birmingham, Ala.
The bridegroom is a graduate East Rome High School in Rome, Ga. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Auburn University. He graduated cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Ala., and served on the Law Review. He is an attorney with Starnes & Atchison LLP in Birmingham, Ala.
After a surprise honeymoon trip to Florence, Venice and Rome, Italy, the couple will live in Birmingham, Ala.
