The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are Lydia Geiger of Cape Coral, Fla., and William Geiger of Miami, Fla.
The bride was escorted by her mother. The maid of honor was the bride’s cousin, Jennifer Starling of Fayetteville. The bridesmaids were Julie Arthur of Chillicothe, Ohio., and Christy Norris of Boone. The child attendants were Lauren McLamb and Alexandra Caudle, both of Dunn.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Sean Starling of Winston-Salem and John Starling of Asheville.
The bride is an honors graduate of Pine Forest Senior High School. She is a housewife.
The groom is a graduate of Cape Coral Senior High School in Florida. He is a jet engine specialist in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Misawa, Japan.
After a honeymoon to Charleston, S.C., the couple plans to live in Misawa, Japan.

Johnny Paul and Shelria Katherine Baxley Long Jr. celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary August 24 to 31, 2001, at a Myrtle Beach, S.C., resort. Mr. and Mrs. Long were married
on August 30, 1956, at the Person Street Pentecostal Holiness Church in Fayetteville. They have three children, Shelria Gayle O’brien of Manhatten, Kan.; Johnny Michael Long of Charlotte; and Katherine Darlene Traver of Cary. The couple has four grandchildren.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert McCormick of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Ethelyn McCormick of Fayetteville.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Flowers of Fayetteville. The bridegroom is the grandson of Gladys Nesbitt of Savannah, Ga.
The bride wore a white matte satin gown which featured a bodice of re-embroidered lace accented with pearls. The gown was provided by A Touch of Class Boutique of Wetumpka, Ala.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Sherri McCormick of Charlotte. The bridesmaids were Shakia Barnes of Fort Washington, Md.; Maria Barnes and Njeri LeGrand, both of Greensboro; Tara Hedgepeth of Charlotte; Jermietta Howard of Nashville, Tenn.; TeAnglia Moore of San Antonio, Texas, and Patrice Morrison of Prattville, Ala. The flower girl was Alicia Davidson of Chester, Va. The ring bearer was Kenyon Richardson of Midway, Ga.
The best man was the groom’s friend, Marion Robinson of Charlotte. The groomsmen were Marvin Caldwell of Gaithersburg, Md.; Christopher Moore, Dennis Winston and Peter Holman Jr., all of Charlotte; Roy English Jr. of Matthews; Aaron Cheeks of Acworth, Ga.; and Kendall McLean of Fayetteville. The ushers were Marcus Flowers and Jeffrey McCormick, both of Fayetteville, and Christopher Davidson of Chester, Va.
The wedding was directed by Renée Elder of Charlesway Bridal. The wedding musicians were Monica Davis, Shelton Harvey and Michael King.
A reception, hosted by Diedre Presley and Alexandria Watson, was held at the Fort Bragg Officer’s Club after the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her master’s degree in health services management from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. She is a captain in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. He is a technical support engineer lead and certified trainer with Microsoft Corp. in Charlotte.
After a honeymoon cruise to the southern Caribbean, the couple will live in Charlotte.

The best man was the groom’s son, Michael Waldrop of Concord. The groomsmen were James Hixon Jr. of Mooresville and Steve Willis of Gastonia.
The bride is a graduate of Fayetteville High School and is retired from Cumberland County.
The groom is a graduate of Lee Edwards High School in Asheville. He received his bachelor’s degree in the Bible from Great Commission Bible school in Bowling Green, Ken. He is a robotics programmer with GKN Inc. in Sanford.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Fayetteville.
