at 4 p.m. on May 27, 2001, at The Poe House at Longview with the Rev. Dr. Dave Newell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Thomas Presnell of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Hugh Gilmore, the late Dorothy Gilmore, Gertrude Presnell and the late Lawrence Presnell, all of Fayetteville.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Stahl of Clemmons. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Chalmer Dyer, Elizabeth Stahl and the late Melvin Stahl, all of Wilkesboro.
The bride wore a white gown which featured a beaded bodice and spaghetti straps. She carried two dozen red roses which were hand-tied with white satin streamers.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Rachel Thedieck of Raleigh. The bridesmaids were Beth Rados of Greenville, Jennifer Bradford of Fayetteville and Karen Petersen of Raleigh, both cousins of the bride. The flower girls were the bride’s cousins, Brawley and Dottie Davis of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was also the bride’s counsin, Drake Davis of Fayetteville.
The best man was the groom’s friend, Dustin Stanley of Clemmons. The groomsmen were Michael Cox, Brandon Bourne and Tim Ayers, all of Clemmons.
The wedding was directed by Carol Tillman and Marge Jarzemsky. The ceremony harpist was Ina Newell.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held immediately after the ceremony at The Poe House at Longview. The reception band was Doubletake.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Appalachian State University in Boone.
The bridegroom also is a graduate of Appalachian State University. He will be attending Stetson University Law School in St. Petersburg, Fla., this fall.
After a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, the couple will live St. Petersburg.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Warren Elkins of Fayetteville.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Shaffer of Atlanta. The bridegroom is the grandson of Bertha Shaffer, as well as Ernest Hays, both of Memphis, Tenn.
The bride’s silk satin gown featured an embroidered overlay with spaghetti straps and a sweep train. She carried an arm bouquet of Calla lilies.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Kelley Bowen of Orlando. The bridesmaids were Stephanie Gregg of Stanford, Calif.; Sarah Haney of Madison, Wis.; Jennifer Hunt of San Diego, Calif.; Mary Keeter Nichols of Leland; and Lisa Rogers of Faith. The flower girl was Courtney Shaffer of Shandong Province, China.
The best man was the bride’s brother, Geoffrey Elkins of Winston-Salem. The groomsmen were James Brice of Seattle, Wash.; James Dickinson of Atlanta; Matthew Elkins of Davidson; Scott Molinelli of Woodstock, Ga.; David Poole of Charleston, S.C.; John Shaffer of Marietta, Ga.; and Walter Shaffer of Shandong Province, China.
The wedding was directed by Carolyn Owens. The wedding musicians were pianist Joy Cogswell, organist Linda Schafer, soloist Barbara Lawson and the Cumberland County String Quartet.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at The Arts Center in downtown Fayetteville after the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a rowing coach with Rutgers University in New Jersey.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. He is an inventory control manager with Georgia-Pacific in Milford, N.J.
The couple will live in Highland Park, N.J.

The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson of Fayetteville. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson of Largo, Fla.; Norma Manger of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; and the late Bud Manger.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister-in-law, Leah Wright of Fayetteville. The bridesmaids were Pamela Ballance of Fayetteville and Kim Bassano and Jackie Wilson, both of Wilmington. The honorary bridesmaids were Tammy Atkinson of Sunny Vale, Calif., and Karen Parker of Dunn. The child attendants were Bergen Lassiter of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Jonathon Wright of Clinton.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Eugene Stanfield of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Williams III and Mrs. Margaret H. Stanfield, all of Fayetteville, and Dr. and Mrs. Elwin E. Stanfield of Wilmington.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Asa Howard Bullard Jr. of Fayetteville. The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Asa Howard Bullard Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Louis Carlin.
The bride wore a white organza and alencon lace gown which featured a semicathedral-length train extending from the basque waistline. Her two-layer fingertip illusion veil was attached to a tiara headpiece accented with white pearls and Austrian crystals. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and dendrobium orchids.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s college friend, Kristin Jones of High Point. The bridesmaids were Maria Brown, Tara Brisson, Helen Whitfield, Lesley Yaeger and Jamie Raynor, all of Fayetteville; Debbie Campbell of Elizabethtown; Carlin Hollar of Winston-Salem; and Jacky Gibbens of Capetown, South Africa. The flower girls were Callie and Hannah Brown, both of Fayetteville, and Phoebe, Chloe and Sophie Campbell, all of Elizabethtown. The ring bearers were Cole Brown of Fayetteville and Zac Campbell of Elizabethtown.

The bride wore a white strapless silk gown with an organza overlay, pearl and crystal appliques and a long, flowing train. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orchids. Her fingertip-length veil was attached to a tiara adorned with pearls and Austrian crystals.

He received his bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and his physician’s assistant degree from East Carolina University in Greenville. He is a physician’s assistant in Greenville.
