Harley — Marshall
Janna Leigh Harley and Matthew Brian Marshall, both of Fayetteville, were married
at 7 p.m. on October 6, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Fayette-ville with the Rev. Wray Wheeless officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roddy Bullard of Fayetteville and the late Daniel Harley. She is the granddaughter of Lou Harley of Ellijay, Ga. and the late U.L. Harley and Minnie Modisett of Bronson, Fla., and the late Raymond Modisett.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Peter Marshall of Fayetteville. The bridegroom is the grandson of Hildegard Morfi of Fayetteville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Marshall.
The bride wore a white strapless gown with beaded borders and carried a bouquet of pink roses, white orchids and ivy. Her fingertip veil featured a pearl edging.
She was escorted by her stepfather, Roddy Bullard.
The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Lesley Ann Harley of Fayetteville. The bridesmaids were Angela Bullard Britt and Jennifer Lee Bullard, both of Fayetteville, and Holly Ann Adams of Alpharetta, Ga.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Jason Erik Marshall of Charlotte. The groomsmen were Clarence Daniels Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., Dennis Gregory Andress of Hope Mills and Tony Lee Platt of St. Pauls.
The wedding was directed by Debbie Poulk. The wedding musicians were Thomas McFadyen and Julia Holt.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Holiday Inn I-95 immediately after the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Cape Fear Senior High School and is attending Methodist College in Fayetteville.
The bridegroom is a graduate of South View Senior High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College. He is a sales supervisor with SunCom.
After a honeymoon trip to Chicago, the couple will live in Fayetteville.
Hayes — Withey
WILMINGTON — Melody Anne Hayes and Adam Frank Withey, both of Wilmington, were married
at 11:30 a.m. on September 9 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Wilmington. The Rev. Matthew Hendricks officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hayes of Fayetteville. The groom’s mother is Maria Withey of Wilmington.
The bride was escorted by her father, Frank Hayes, and her daughter, Ragan Mackenzie Withey. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Chris Hill of Wilmington. The bridesmaid was Venessca Tyson of Raleigh.
The flower girl was Hannah Williford and the ring bearer was Morgan Williford, both of Wilmington.
The best man was the groom’s best friend, Joey Tyson of Raleigh. The groomsman was Kevin Harrison of Raleigh. Scripture readings were done by Marty Hill and Maria Withey, both of Wilmington.
The bride is a graduate of Westover Senior High School in Fayetteville and is a student in the radiology program at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington.
The groom is a graduate of South View Senior High School in Fayetteville and attended East Carolina University. He is the assistant manager of G. Stein Furniture in Wilmington.
The couple plans to live in Wilmington.

The bride is the daughter of Glynn Elvie Grant of Fayetteville and Don I. Grant of New Hampshire. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Roger F. Hairr of Stedman. The couple plans to live in Stedman.
McKinnie — Lee

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley O. Mertz of Edgefield, S.C. The groom’s parents and stepparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Forrest of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jackson of Dunn.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Karen Melcho of Richmond, Va. The bridesmaids were Carolyn Chamberlain and Neepa Patel, both of Fayetteville; and Jennie Hamilton, Valerie Jackson and Stephanie Lewis, all of Raleigh.
The flower girl was Caroline Clement of Clinton.
The best man was the groom’s father, Donald C. Jackson of Dunn. The groomsmen were Brian Forrest of Winston-Salem; Ray Forrest and Brian Phelps, both of Raleigh; Jason Jackson of Greenville; and Jason Hodgson of Stowe, Vt.
The bride is a graduate of Terry Sanford Senior High School in Fayetteville and North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She is a system test engineer with Tekelec Inc. in Morrisville.
The groom also is a graduate of NCSU. He is currently a graduate student at the university.
The couple plans to live in Raleigh.

The bride is the daughter of Norma Manley of Fayetteville and the late Jack Manley. The groom’s parents are Shelby Starling of Hope Mills and the late Jack Johnson. He also is the stepson of Janice Johnson of Pittsboro. The couple plans to live in Fayetteville.

The bride is the daughter of George W. Riley and Brenda W. Riley, both of Hope Mills. The groom’s parents are Richard J. Viscuse of Durham and the late Margaret Lunney Viscuse.

Mr. and Mrs. Royal
Pansy H. Royal and Arthur Paul Royal of Stedman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, October 22, at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Stedman. Mr. and Mrs. Royal were married
on Sunday, October 22, 1950, at Bethany Methodist Church in Albemarle. They have two children, Johnny Paul Royal and William Joel Royal, both of Stedman.
Duncan — Bachmann

The bride-elect graduated from Purnell Swett High School and will graduate with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in December.
The bridegroom-elect graduated from Sparkman High School in Huntsville and attended the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He is in the U.S. Marine Corps at Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lee Madderom of Mount Juliet, Tenn. The groom is the son of Dolores May Proctor of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and the late Roland James Proctor. He is the stepson of Rose Marie Proctor, also of Poughkeepsie.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s best friend, Christie Zimmerman. The bridesmaids were Pat Madderom and Andrea Madderom, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The child attendants were the bride’s children, Kimberly and Dylan DeVault, both of Fayetteville.
The best man was the groom’s friend, Scott Chrestensen of Fayette-ville. The groomsmen were Steven Andreini of Poughkeepsie and Chris Madderom of Murfreesboro.
The bride is a graduate of South View Senior High School in Fayette-ville. She attends Fayetteville Tech-nical Community College.
The groom is a graduate of Central Texas College. He attends Campbell University and is a master sergeant in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg.

Mr. & Mrs. Louis Dean
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dean of Fayette-ville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 12 at the Hope Mills Shrine Club. Mr. and Mrs. Dean were married
on November 11, 1950, in Jeffersonville, Ind. They have four children, Louis O. Dean III, Thomas Dean, Deborah Bath and Sussan Wooster; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. & Mrs. Harmon Kivett
Harmon and Rebecca Kivett of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 29. Mr. and Mrs. Kivett were married
on November 3, 1950, in Chesterfield, S.C.
Mr. & Mrs. Tomolonius
Retired Maj. Philip Anthony and Ingeborg Herrmann Tomolonius celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 11 at the home of their daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Tomolonius were married
on November 13, 1950, in Nuremburg, Germany. They have three children, Ed Tomolonius of Bynum Ridge, Karen Clayton of Durham and Danny Tomolonius of Sanford. They have four grandchildren.
The couple also celebrated with an anniversary getaway to Hilton Head, S.C.
Mrs. Tomolonius worked at Bahia’s in Haymount, where she did clothing alterations. She also worked at Mademoiselle in Eutaw Shopping Center.
Mr. Tomolonius spent 20 years in the U.S. Army. He also worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 20 years.
Laurie — Riley
