April 21 at 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Durham. The Rev. Patrick Tuttle officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Judy Miles of Chapel Hill and Dr. John Miles of Gastonia. She received a bachelor's degree from UNC and is a controller.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Lenora Kish of Mount Airy, Md. He received a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and is an arborist.
The bride was given in marriage by Dr. John Miles Jr.
Maid of honor was Kirsten Miles of Durham.
The bridesmaids were Cameron Miles of Columbia, S.C., and Erica Walton of Raleigh.
The hostesses were Rika Klein of Chapel Hill, Courtney Epperson of Durham, and Melissa Pruitt of Charlotte.
The flower girls were Alexandria Woods of Durham, Lauren Biro of Marriottsville, Md., and Megan Worley of Vinton, Va.
Best man was Norman Sealing of Mount Airy, Md.
The groomsmen were Randy Boone of Skyesville, Md., and Eric Jones of Arlington, Va.
The ushers were John Miles of Rock Hill, S.C., and Frank McKeever of Chapel Hill.
The ringbearer was Tyler Worley of Vinton, Va.
Music was provided by Allen Herther on organ and Mike Miles on piano. Soloists were Judy Miles and Cara Fowler.
A reception was held at Snipes Farm Retreat.
Following the ceremony, the couple planned a trip to Jamaica.
The couple plans to reside in Durham.

Christine Rae Shue and Matthew Blair Keagy were married
Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. The Rev. Terry Hanna conducted the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shue of Charlotte. She is a graduate of Charlotte Latin School and UNC and is employed by UVEST Investment Services.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Blair Keagy of Chapel Hill. He is the grandson of Catherine Salter of Gibsonia, Pa., and Eleanor Keagy of Wyomissing, Pa. He is a graduate of Durham Academy and Vanderbilt University and is pursuing a master's degree in business from UNC's Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
Maid of honor was Ashlee Good.
The bridesmaids were Kristen Keagy, sister of the groom, Stacie Bradshaw, Amy Smith and Amy Wisniewski.
Best man was Charles Grabowski.
The groomsmen were Tron Kohlhagen, Riley McAndrews, Brian Oliver and Adam Ravin.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Ballantyne Country Club in Charlotte.
The couple planned a wedding trip to Hawaii later this year.
They will reside in Chapel Hill.

on June 16 at the Plainfield Congregational Church in Plainfield, Mass.
The bride is the daughter of Gerry and Peggy Connell, formerly of Washington, Conn., now of Plainfield, Mass. She is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute and is a food writer for Sante magazine.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Cooper of Chapel Hill. He graduated from the New England Culinary Institute in May and is the chef at Joe's Boathouse in South Portland, Maine.
The couple planned a wedding trip to Germany and the Netherlands.

July 21 at 12:30 p.m. in the garden of La Residence in Chapel Hill. The Rev. Darrell Roberts of Boone conducted the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Sue Felton of Durham and David Sparrow of Chapel Hill. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Clifton Crandell of Carrboro and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sparrow of Chapel Hill. She is a senior at Appalachian State University in Boone.
The groom is the son of Sharon Frazier of Rock Island, Tenn., and Bruce Shack of Brentwook, Tenn. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Shack of Graham, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Summers of Saint Jo, Texas. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from Appalachian State University and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is a teacher at Gamewell Middle School in Lenoir.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was her sister, Rebekah Jean Sparrow of Chapel Hill.
The bridesmaids were Sarah Hope Tyson of Chapel Hill, Jessica Mullen of Charlotte and Hannah Mathers of Nashville, Tenn.
Best man was the brother of the groom, Nathan Shack of Rock Island, Tenn.
The groomsmen were Ryon Shack of Brentwood, Tenn., David McLean of Naples, Fla., Knox Vanderpool of Pulaski, Tenn., and Chad Skudlarick of Rutherfordton.
Music was provided by Spence Hoffman on guitar and Mr. and Mrs. Buck Roberts and Nathaniel Cox on trumpet, obo and drum.
The bride's father sang "Amazing Grace" as the couple took communion. Katie Pennell signed the words to "All the Heavens" as a solo performance.
A reception was held following the ceremony in the garden of La Residence.
The couple planned a wedding trip to Tulum, Mexico.
They reside in Blowing Rock.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James William Ott of Chapel Hill. He received a bachelor's degree in communications from Appalachian State and is a desktop field technician with Carolina's Health Care System.

The bride is the daughter of Penny Allen and Dan Allen, both of Chapel Hill. She holds a master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is the senior tax accountant for Paul Allen's management firm in Seattle, Wash.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Pohlman of Wilmington. He holds a master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a director of finance for a start-up company in Seattle, Wash.
Maid of honor was Deborah Jane McCann of Orlando, Fla. The bridesmaids were Stacey Cohen of Washington, D.C., and Karen Donahue of Seattle.
Best man was the groom's brother, Mark Bradley Pohlman of Phoenix, Ariz. Ushers were Eric Mabee of Durham, Jeffrey Yurcisin of Washington D.C., Kyle Travis of Asheville and Vince Stevens of Chapel Hill.
Music was provided by trumpeter, David McChesney and the Chapel of the Cross choirmaster Wylie S. Quinn III.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's parents was held at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill.
A reception was held at Aurora, hosted by the bride's parents. Following a wedding trip to Maui and Kauai, the couple will return to Seattle.

The bride is the daughter of Margaret and Tracy Henderson of Asheville and Richard Price of Elizabethton, Tenn. She received a bachelor's degree from the Universtiy of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a recreational therapist with the Autism Society of North Carolina.
The groom is the son of Joe and Sue Stone of Pilot Mountain. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the UNC-CH and is the security and parking control officer at UNC.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother, step-father and father.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Whitney Harris Wallace of Miami, Fla.
Bridesmaids were Katherine Martin of Raleigh, Tammy Boyea of Graham and Marni Juhasz of Cary.
Best man was the groom's father.
Groomsmen were Fred Stipe and Hal Terrents of Chapel Hill and Mark Price of Carrboro.
A reception in the church dining hall and hosted by Margaret Henderson followed the ceremony.
The couple planned a wedding trip to Orlando.
They will reside in Durham.
