The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Nelson of Oxford, NC.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Cathy Pulliam and maid of honor was Jenny Mize. Other bridal attendants were Kim Grinstead, Lindsay McMannen, Sonia Blalock and Angie Brankley. Junior bridemaid was Kelsey Whicker.

Best man was Mr. James R. Nelson. Ushers were Wayne Reid, T.J. Martin, Patrick Dennis, Dickie Seate and Floyd Brankley.

Flower girls were Miss Taylor Grinstead, Kourtney Whicker and Katie Whicker.

Ring bearer was Mr. Dalton Morris.

A reception was held at The Carolina Theater.

The bride graduated from Durham Technical Community College. She is employed by Durham Internal Medicine as a Nurse.

The bridegroom graduated from Vance Granville Community College. He is employed by Target Stores as a Team Leader.

After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Durham.

Grayson - Rudolph

Ashley Lynn Grayson and Don Michael Rudolph were married icon at 2 p.m. on June 7, 2003, at Duke University Chapel in Durham, NC.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra Grayson Rea of Fort Mill, SC and the late O.C. "Kelly" Grayson, Jr..

The bridegroom is the son of Don Roland Rudolph Miami, FL and the late Genevieve Strozzo Rudolph.

The maid of honor was Taylor Christine Grayson of Charlotte, NC and the matron of honor was Angela Braswell Quinn of Fort Mill, SC. Honorary attendants were Sheryl Ann Hallow, Audra Noelle Nunn, Catherine Rea Toomey and Jennifer Lynn Truesdail.

Best man was Don Roland Rudolph, father of the groom. Groomsman was Carlos Robert Salcedo of Washington, DC. Ushers were John Charles Bruggman, Michael Andrew Cassucio, Byron Kenneth Hill, Ryan Patrick Peake, Robert Wesley Quinn and C. Lou Whitehurst.

Flower girl was Alexandra Dale Quinn of Fort Mill, SC.

A reception was held at Moorefields in Hillsborough, NC.

The bride graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She is employed by Trugreen LandCare in Residential Landscape Sales in Raleigh, NC.

The bridegroom graduated from Duke University and the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He is employed by Central Carolina Bank as an investment advisor in Durham, NC.

After a honeymoon in Sea Island, GA at the Cloister, the couple will reside in Durham, NC.

Johnson - Bass

CLINTON, NC - Lisa Carol Johnson and Cory Jackson Bass were married icon at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Grove Park Baptist Church in Clinton, NC.

The Rev. Michael Shook officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Lee Johnson of Clinton, NC. She is the granddaughter of Juanita Wagoner and the late Sam Wagoner, Jr. of Durham, NC.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bass of Clinton, NC.

The maid of honor was Jessica Bass. Other bridal attendants were Sarah Scott, Michelle Bass, Heather Sykes, Brittany Boone and Jessica Johnson. Honorary bridesmaids were Amanda and Paige Bass.

Best man was Tommy Bass, the groom's father. Ushers were Lee Johnson, Marc Willis, D.J. Bass, Sean Leggett and Brent Parrish.

Flower girls were Taylor Sampson and McKenzi Byrd.

Ring bearers were Hunter Wagoner and Zachary Wagoner of Durham.

A reception was held at Coharie Country Club in Clinton, NC.

The bride graduated from Clinton High School and a 2001 graduate of Caper Fear Community College in Wilmington. She is employed by Dr. Ronald Honeycutt as a Dental Assistant.

The bridegroom graduated from Clinton High School and attended Sampson Community College. He is employed by U.S. Cellular as a Wireless Business Consultant.

After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Clinton, NC.

Nester - Snell

CHAPEL HILL, NC - Amy Laurel Nester and Andrew Clayton Snell were married icon at three o'clock in the afternoon on April 19, 2003, at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. The Reverend Richard Chorley officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Daryll Powell and Allen Mitchell Nester of Durham. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nester of Radford, Virginia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sherman Whisman.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Raymond Snell, Jr., of Montpelier, Vermont. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Parr of Manchester, Michigan and Mrs. John Raymond Snell of East Lansing, Michigan and the late Mr. Snell.

The man of honor was Jonathan Clifton Drennan. Other bridal attendants were Stacy Diane Chapman, Suzannah Kate Snell, Margot Carol Mahon, and Billie Jean Miller.

The best man was James Howard Coghlin. Groomsmen were James Dawson Brock, David Gaul Couch, Karim Ullah Khan, Adam Hugh Sherman, John Joseph Weixel, IV, and Peter Gwynn Pearson.

Vocalist was Clayton Haab Parr, uncle of the groom. Readers were Jesse Daryll Powell and John Raymond Snell, Jr. Greeters were Amanda Louise McCoy and Lesley Nester Morgan.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Carolina Inn.

The bride graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and from Boston College. She is a social worker for Community Counseling of Bristol County, Massachusetts. The bridegroom also graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a software engineer for Corporate Communication Broadcast Network in Boston.

After honeymooning in Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple now resides in the Boston area.

Poole - Fleek

Michelle Leigh Poole and Ryan Darryl Fleek were married icon Sunday, May 4, 2003, at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Perogola in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham, NC. The Rev. Dr. Mark Rutledge officiated the double - ring ceremony. The wedding reception was held at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Linda and Thomas A. Poole of Bahama, NC and the granddaughter of Alma and Thomas M. Poole of Bahama and the late Pauline and Rufus Reece of Andrews, NC. The bridegroom is the son of Arlene and Arthur Fleek of Cary and the grandson of Mildred and Oakley Schweinegruber of Zelienople, Pennsylvania and the late Marie and Edwin Fleek of Harmony, Pennsylvania. The bride was escorted by her father, and presented in marriage by both parents.

The matron of honor was sister of the bride, Amy Smith of Wake Forest. Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride and groom, Christine Pronishen of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Melissa Fleek of Apex, Rebecca Hart of Charlotte, Crystal Tucker of Austin, Texas, and Stephanie Weber of Durham.

Best man was brother of the groom, Eric Fleek of Raleigh. Groomsmen were Chris Jones of Apex, Allan Levesque of Cary, John Lillis of Apex, Jeff Southerland of Cary, and Ken Thompson of Raleigh.

Flower girl was Peyton Fisher of Waynesville, NC and ring bearer was nephew of the bride, Coleton Smith of Wake Forest.

Attendants for a flower petal toss were aunt of the bride, Shelby Fisher of Waynesville, NC and good friend of the family, Becky Bruce of Bahama, NC.

Wedding ceremony coordinator was Terri Whittle of Raleigh.

The bride received a bachelor's degree in physical education and parks and recreation from UNC - Wilmington and a master's degree from the University of Georgia in sport management. He is operations manager at the Carolina Sportsplex in Morrisville.

The couple celebrated with family and friends at a rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, at Maggiano's Little Italy on Saturday evening.

After a wedding trip to the Outer Banks, the couple will return to their home in Durham.

Waddell - Boose

MEBANE, NC - Jennifer Mary Waddell and Carson Jennings Boose were married icon at 6 p.m. on May 10, 2003, at Pine Lake Pavilion in Mebane, NC.

The Rev. Robert Dunham of University Presbyterian Church, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Gwen H. Waddell - Schultz and James Schultz of Chapel Hill, NC and Guil Waddell and Marian Beerstecher of Rougemont, NC.

The bridegroom is the son of Brenda and John Teehan of Wellington, OH and Larry Boose of York, PA.

The maid of honor was Rebecca Kinlaw. Other bridal attendants were Heather Clark, Kathryn Rooks and Kelley Hightower.

Best man was Caleb Casco. Ushers were Thom Waddell, Mark Boose, Elliott Boose and Doug Schultz.

A reception was held at Pine Lake Pavilion.

The bride graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1998 and UNC - Greensboro in May, 2003. She is employed by Cumberland County Schools as a teacher.

The bridegroom is serving in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC.

After a honeymoon in Ft. Myers, Florida, the couple will reside in Fayetteville, NC.

Squires - Faucette

CHAPEL HILL, NC - Johnny and Donna Squires of Chapel Hill, NC announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Diane Squires to Frederick William Faucette.

The bride - elect graduated from Elon University. She is employed by the Orange County Schools as a 1st grade teacher.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Candace and Bill Cleeves of Topsail Island, NC and Bill and Kay Faucette of Sanford, NC. He attended Durham Technical Community College. He is employed by North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

They plan a June 21, 2003, wedding at Pine Lake Pavilion in Mebane, NC.

Baxley - Dodson

Ms. Cheryl B. Baxley and Mr. Edward J. Dodson were united in marriage on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Cross Roads Baptist in Hillsborough, NC.

The Reverend Philip Moore officiated the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laney A. Benson, Sr. of Dudley, NC.

Mr. Dodson is self - employed and is a junior at John Wesley College in High Point, studying Pastoral Ministry.

Mrs. Dodson is Assistant to the Dean of Residence Life and Executive Director of Housing Services at Duke University.

Mr. Andrew Baxley, son of the bride, served as Best Man.

Ms. Angela Dodson, daughter of the groom, served as Maid of Honor.

After a cross - country motorcycle trip, the couple will reside in Hillsborough, NC.

Carpenter - Albert
