Hoyler Anniversary

EFLAND, NC - Mr. and Mrs. Edward W. Hoyler of Efland, NC celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 28, 2002, at one of their children's home.

Hosts were their children. The couple has five children: Edward C. Hoyler of Grafton, WV; Janice Partington of Durham, NC; Nancy Tubiolo of Efland, NC; Diane Faucette of Hillsborough, NC; and Christopher Hoyler of Graham, NC. They have twelve grandchildren and twelve great - grandchildren.

The two were married icon on September 29, 1942, at Ozone Park, New York.

Raynor Anniversary

Nello Raynor Sr. and Barbara Raynor of Durham, NC celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 6th, 2002, at the Homestead Steak House.

Hosts were their children. The couple has two children: Nello Raynor Jr. of Roxboro, NC and Debbie Davis of Durham, NC. They have five grandchildren.

The two were married icon Sept. 6th, 1952.

Chelette - Maness

BALD HEAD ISLAND, NC - Jennifer Suzanne Chelette and Darren Keith Maness were married icon at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2002, on the beach at Bald Head Island, NC.

The Rev. Garrett Albertson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Deborah Chelette of Durham, NC.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ray Maness of Chapel Hill, NC.

A reception was held at the River Pilot Cafe.

The bride graduated with a bachelor's degree and Masters of Business Administration from UNC - Charlotte. She is employed by CIGNA Health Care as the Client Strategy Director.

The bridegroom graduated with a bachelor's degree from Duke University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. He is employed by Progress Energy as a Business Analyst.

After a honeymoon in Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the couple resides in Raleigh, NC.

Midgette - Battle

Crystal J. Midgette and Lorenza Battle, Jr. were married icon at 12:30 p.m. on November 2, 2002 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

Elders Michael Marvin and Royal Harrison officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Alma Lunsford Midgette of Durham, NC and Melvin Midgette, Jr. of Chocowinity, NC.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenza Battle, Sr. of Rocky Mount, NC.

The matron of honor was Erica M. Fields. Other bridal attendants were Zedra Williams, Latoya Battle, Sharita Battle, Hadessah Patterson and Robin Lamberth.

Best man was Justin Floyd. Ushers were Ricky Fields, John Williams, III, Kenny Harper, Jonathan White and Jerrin Petway.

Flower girl was Alicea Fields.

A reception was held at The Armory.

The couple will reside in Rocky Mount, NC.

Voinova - Yearwood

RALEIGH, NC - Natalia A. Voinova and Douglas L. Yearwood were married icon on May 24, 2002, in Raleigh, NC.

Natalia is the daughter of Zoya and Genna Kuvaevi of Novocheboksarsk, Russia. Douglas is the son of Clarence L. and Deanna Yearwood of Durham, NC.

They were honored at a reception on Saturday, August 17, 2002, at the Hilton Durham.

Natalia received her medical degree from Chuvash State University. She worked as a Pediatric Surgeon at Children's Hospital in Novocheboksarsk, Russia. She plans to pursue her medical career.

Douglas graduated from N.C. Wesleyan College with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Criminal Justice. He received a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from N.C. Central University. He is Director of the Criminal Justice Analysis Center which is part of the Governor's Crime Commission.

Natalia and Douglas are living at 3901 - M Water Oak Road in Raleigh, NC.

Whitted - Howie

HILLSBOROUGH, NC - Teresa Ann Whitted and James Michial Howie were married icon at 5 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2002, at Mt. Bright Baptist Church in Hillsborough, NC.

The Rev. Neville Kidd officiated.

Teresa was given in marriage by her mother.

The bride is the daughter of Annie W. Whitted of Hillsborough, NC.

The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mack and Annie Howie of Harrisburg, NC.

The matron of honor was Barbara Robinson. Other bridal attendants were Maria Hopkins and Cecilia Faucette.

Best man was Harold Bagley. Groomsmen were Ernest Couch, Edwin Ancarana and Armon Roberts.

The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed by the Orange County Emergency Management as a Communication's Supervisor.

The bridegroom attended the University of Miami. He is employed by Guardsmark Inc. as a Supervisor.

After a honeymoon in Orlando, FL, the couple will reside in Mebane, NC.

Clark - Campbell

RALEIGH, NC - Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee Clark III of Raleigh, NC announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Ashley Clark to Thomas Kern Campbell.

After their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple is residing in Ft. Lauderdale.
