The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Calvin McBroom of Hillsborough. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Isaac Rowland of Durham, and the late Mrs. Rowland formerly of Durham; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McBroom of Hurdle Mills; and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Daniel, Sr. of Durham.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Bruce Clark of Durham. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stillman Leary formerly of Rocky Hock, NC; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Clark, formerly of Durham.
Following the couple's wedding and honeymoon in Jamaica, a reception was held at Hardscrabble Plantation in Hillsborough on August 17, 2002.
