Belk - Rosengrant
Autumn Mist Belk and David Robert Rosengrant were married
on Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Baldwin Auditorium on Duke University's East Campus in Durham, NC.
The Reverend Kelly J. Wilson officiated the double ring ceremony. Following the wedding, a reception was held at Treyburn Country Club in Durham.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Edwin Belk of Durham, NC. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Rosengrant of Lake Ariel, PA.
Mrs. Stephanie H. Loter, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Stanfield Bubbett of Albertville, AL and Miss Maggie J. Phillips of Troy, AL.
Mr. Jeff Robinson of Lake Ariel, PA served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jeremy Davis, brother - in - law of the groom, of Lake Ariel, PA and Mr. Brian Bair of Chapel Hill, NC.
A special song, "Brother," was played at the ceremony for the couple which was written and recorded by Mr. Ted Daniels, a member with the bride and groom of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.
The bride graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Studio Art. She is a company member of ContempraDance Theatre in Wayne, PA and teaches ballet at a local studio.
The groom graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Arts in Teaching. He is a physics teacher at Bucks County Technical High School in Fairless Hills, PA.
The couple honeymooned at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL.
Grimes - Knox
Sharon Schildein Grimes and James Henry Knox were married
at 2:00 p.m. in Duke University Chapel on January 26, 2002. The Rev. Albert Mosley, Assistant Dean of the Chapel, performed the ceremony. Music was provided by the Chapel Organist, Dr. David Arcus, and the Chapel Choir under the direction of Dr. Rodney Wynkoop.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Margaret Alexander Schildein of Chapel Hill and the late Leslie E.Schildein. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Knox of Greenoock, Scotland.
Dr. James Reginald Kelly escorted the bride.
Dr. Sue T. Klausmeyer served as the bride's matron of honor.
Peter James Orford Knox served as his father's best man.
Evan Dickenson Grimes, the bride's grandson, was the ring - bearer.
The bride graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey. She received her M.A. and her Ph.D. in history from Duke University. She taught Western European and British History at Duke University where she also served as Assistant Director of the Pre - Major Advising Center. She retired in 1995.
The bridegroom graduated from Ladyburn Comprehensive School and served in the Royal Air Force, and also in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an electronics electrician. During this period, Mr. Knox worked on the Berlin Airlift. After immigrating to Canada, he spent twenty years on the DEW (Distant Early Warning) Radar System and twenty years monitoring the Nuclear Non - Proliferation Treaty under the auspices of the United States Air Force. Mr. Knox retired in 1999.
A reception was held in the Faculty Commons, Duke University Union Building.
The couple will live in Durham, Furry Creek, British Columbia, and at Velwell House, Dartington, Devon, England. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Knox have eight children, ten grandchildren and three great - grandchildren. Children attending the ceremony were Mrs. Susannah Davidson - Dean and Miss Emmeline Knox of England, (daughters of the groom), Mr. Peter James Orford Knox of Perth, Western Australia (son of the groom), Mr. and Mrs. John Harlin Grimes Jr. of Raleigh (son and daughter - in - law of the bride) and Mr. William Scott Grimes and his wife, Mrs. Margaret Stroud of Raleigh (son and daughter - in - law of the bride).
Johnson - Ingram
Holly Ann Johnson of Durham and Michael Allen Ingram of Apex announce their engagement. Holly is the daughter of William R. Johnson of Durham and the late Candice U. Johnson. Michael is the son of Shirley J. Ingram of Apex and James E. Ingram of Angier.
