Thomason-Bell
Susan Ellen Bell and Dr. Jason William White Thomason, both of Augusta, Ga., were married
on Nov. 25, 2000, at First Baptist Church on St. Simons Island, Ga. Dr. Earl L. Boyette officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Bell of Brunswick, Ga. She is the grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Wolford, Daisy Bell and the late Alfonzo Bell. She is a graduate of Ware County Senior High School and Georgia Southern University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She is employed by St. Joseph Hospital.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Henry C. Thomason Jr. of Gastonia. He is the grandson of Louise Ratchford and the late Fred A. Ratchford and Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Thomason Sr. He is a graduate of Ashbrook High School and UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is a graduate of the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is employed by the Medical College of Georgia.
Kelly H. Bell gave his daughter in marriage. Kelly Bell McQuaig of Blackshear, Ga., was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Stacey Jean Strickland of North Augusta, S.C., Kelly Anne Mullis of Atlanta. The bride’s nephew, Harrison Cleve McQuaig of Blackshear, was the ring bearer.
Dr. Henry Clayton Thomason III of Gastonia was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Thad Allen Tremaine of San Francisco, Dr. David Jefferson Howe of Winston-Salem, Dr. George Williamson Wray III of New Orleans, Robert George Culp IV of High Point, Charles Scotland Stevens of Philadelphia, Dr. Kshitij Pankaj Mistry of Boston and Dr. Mark Wayne Morgan of Chapel Hill.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents at Sea Palms Golf and Tennis Resort following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents at The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and now lives in Augusta.
Mosier-Honsinger
Brandi Jean Honsinger of Clover, S.C., and Paul Jeffrey Mosier of Dallas were married
on Oct. 7, 2000, at Maranatha Independent Baptist Church. The Rev. Scott Wilson officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Gaston of Clover. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Sherman of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is a graduate of North Gaston High School and attended UNC Charlotte. She is employed by Arnold Palmer Cadillac.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mosier of Dallas and the grandson of Helen Mosier of Gastonia. He is a graduate of Hunter Huss High School and attended Gaston College and UNC Charlotte. He is employed by CVS Pharmacy.
Randy Gaston gave his daughter in marriage. Tiffianna Honsinger of Dallas was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lindsay Fairbrother of Chapel Hill, and Jennifer Porter, Benita Almond and Kim Wilson, all of Gastonia. Flower girls were Malia Swift, Katie Cauthen and Tirzah Mosier.
James Mosier was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Jimmy Mosier of Raleigh, Phillip Mosier and Jeff Painter, both of Gastonia, and Daniel Honsinger of Lake Wylie, S.C.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents at the church following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was given by the bridegroom’s parents at the church.
The couple honeymooned in south Texas and now lives in Bessemer City.
Wright-Jones
Paula Elizabeth Jones and Bryan Scott Wright, both of Belmont, were married
on Feb. 3, 2001 at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Max Pendleton officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jones of Belmont and the granddaughter of Jack Abernethy. She is a graduate of Cramerton Christian Academy and is employed by BB&T.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Wright of Mount Holly, is a graduate of East Gaston High School and attended Gaston College. He is employed by the Mount Holly Police Department.
Jerry Jones gave his daughter in marriage. Cassandra Jones of Belmont was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Dana Mathis, Rebecca Jones and Carmen Bolius, all of Belmont, and Jody Barber of Mount Holly.
Shawn Wrenn of Mount Holly was the best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Ferrell, Jason Fink and Dale Thompson, all of Mount Holly, and Wes Monroe of Gastonia.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents and the bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Amanda Meeks, at the church following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was given by the bridegroom’s parents at the church.
Following a trip to Freeport, Bahamas, the couple will live in Belmont.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Pearson of Belmont, is a graduate of South Point High School and attended Belmont Abbey College. He is employed by First Union National Bank.

Bridesmaids were Sheila Moran of Gastonia, Colleen Moran of Williamstown, N.J., Amy Birtwistle of Mount Holly and Kym Armstrong of Belmont. Danielle Medearis of Longmont, Colo., and Hayley Pearson of Belmont were flower girls.
Aaron Armstrong was the best man. Groomsmen were David Pearson of Cramerton, Kevin Moran of Charlotte, Cory Petty of Gastonia and Dale Franklin of Mount Holly.
A reception was held at the Gaston Country Club.
Kivett-Kelly

on April 7, 2001 at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain. The groom’s father Dr. Forbis Kivett, officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kelly of Bessemer City. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Player of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Kelly, all of Bessemer City. She is a graduate of Bessemer City High School and Carolina Academy of Cosmetic Art and Science.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Forbis Kivett of Kannapolis. He is the grandson of Harvey Conklin of Greensboro and the late Anne Conklin and Selma Kivett of Ramseur and the late George Kivett. He is a graduate of A.L. Brown High School and UNC Charlotte. He is employed by Rampage Yachts of Navasa.

A reception was held at Bessemer City First Wesleyan Church’s Family Life Center, hosted by the bride’s parents following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was held at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church fellowship hall, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents.
Following a trip to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Southport.
Howie-Richardson

on April 7, 2001 at New Covenant Methodist Church in Mount Holly. The Rev. Bruce M. Jones officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Richardson of Belmont and the granddaughter of Kathleen A. White of Salisbury. She is a graduate of Garinger High School and UNC Charlotte. She is employed by Lincoln County Schools.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Howie of Denver and the grandson of Della R. Torrence of Charlotte. He is a graduate of Garinger High School and UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity. He is employed by Dogwood Construction.
Don Richardson gave his daughter in marriage. Anna Richardson Henson of Belmont was the matron of honor. Leah Danielle Foster of Charlotte was the maid of honor.

A reception was held at the Holiday Inn, hosted by the bride’s parents following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was held at Westport Country Club, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents.
Following a trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live in Denver.
Deal-Roe
Sarah Natalie Roe and Michael Damon Deal, both of Charlotte, were married
on March 3, 2001 at The Breez Super Club Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. The Rev. William Miller officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Simon Roe and step-daughter of Sunny Roe of Belmont, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Roe. She is a graduate of Montgomery High School and is employed by Alltel Corp.
The bridegroom, son of Ricky Beatty and Debbie Baker, both of Conover, is a graduate of Bunker Hill High School. He is employed by Pet Dairy Products and is a member of the Carolina Volunteer Fire Department.
The couple honeymooned in the Caribbean, and now lives in Charlotte.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Clark of Charlotte. She is the granddaughter of Bee Yandle and Nancy DuVall. She is a graduate of Calvary Christian School and Appalachian State University. She is a graduate student at ASU and is also employed by the university.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wayne Aldridge of Belmont. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Quilliams and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carmon Aldridge. He is a graduate of South Point High School and is employed by J&F Custom Builders.
Dennis Clark gave his daughter in marriage. April Byrd of Dallas was the maid of honor.

A reception was held at the church, hosted by the bride’s parents following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was held at the river home of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carmon Aldridge, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents.
The couple honeymooned to the Outer Banks, and now lives in Banner Elk.

on March 10, 2001 at the home of bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Horst Wagner. The Rev. Tom Latimer officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Virginia Nell Hawkins of Cramer Mountain. She is employed by Home Depot.
The bridegroom, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William T. Clark, is retired from Honeywell.
Frank Martello gave his mother-in-law in marriage. The bride’s daughter, Susan Martello of Gastonia, was the matron of honor. The bride’s granddaughter, Alexandra Martello of Gastonia, was a bridesmaid.
Robert Penison of St. Charles, Mo., was his brother-in-law’s best man.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McNamee of Midlothian, Va. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Beelen Ballard and the late Mr. and Mrs. John McNamee. She is a graduate of Old Dominion University and received her master’s degree from Averett College.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Crabtree of Midlothian. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Aiken of Midlothian and the late Dr. and Mrs. Clayton Crabtree. He is a graduate of Elon College and received his master’s degree from Averett College.

Following a trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will live in Richmond.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bruce Armstrong of Gastonia. She is the granddaughter of Bill Martin of Cramerton, the late Marie C. Martin, the late Marie L. Martin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hayes Armstrong. She is a graduate of Ashbrook High Schjool and attends Carolinas College of Health Sciences School of Nursing. She is employed by Covenant Village Health Care Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry D. Miller of Gastonia. He is the grandson of Mary Neil L. Black of Gastonia and the late Henry M. Black, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Miller of Batesburg-Leesville, S.C. He is a graduate of Ashbrook High School and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of Golden Key National Honor Society, Kappa Sigma fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. He is pursuing a master’s degree at, and is employed by UNC Charlotte.
