The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Visser of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Sandra Wood of Portland, Ore.

The bridesmaid was Stephanie Visser of Manchester, N.H.

The best man was the groom’s friend, Robert Porter of Hope Mills.

The groomsman was Nathan Grey of Denver, Colo.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College and her juris doctorate degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in Iowa City.

She is an assistant public defender with the Hoke and Scotland County Public Defender’s Office in Raeford, N.C.

The groom received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

He is a probation and parole officer with the Division of Community Corrections in Fayetteville, N.C.

After a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, the couple plans to live in Fayetteville, N.C.

Kevin Perry Blackwell

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Lisa Michelle Horne of Fayetteville, N.C., and Kevin Perry Blackwell of Stedman, N.C., were married icon at 5 p.m. on December 7, 2002, in a private ceremony at the Memories Wedding Chapel.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Eason of Fayetteville, N.C.

The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Blackwell of Stedman, N.C.

The bride is a graduate of the radiology program at Fayetteville Technical Community College and received her training as a cardiac cath technologist from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine.

She is the director of the cardiac cath lab at Rutherfordton Hospital in North Carolina.

The groom received his criminal justice degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.

He is a juvenile probation officer with the State of North Carolina Court System.

After a honeymoon trip in Gatlinburg, the couple settled in Rutherfordton, N.C.

Katheryn Ann Jenifer of Durham and Craig Andrew Davis of Fayetteville were married icon at 5:30 p.m. on December 21, 2002, at Hay Street United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.

The bride is the daughter of Katheryn Jane Jenifer of Fayetteville and Perry Duane Jenifer of Ocean Springs, Miss.

The groom’s parents are Victory Laverne Davis of Fayetteville and Tom Edward Davis of Homossassa, Fla.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Kari Glemaker of Mason, Ohio.

The bridesmaids were Leisa Brown of Fayetteville; Sarah Good of Broomfield, Colo.; Colleen Neubert of Seattle, Wash.; and Larissa Payne of Falls Church, Va.

The flower girl was Emma Glemaker and the ring bearer was Jacob Glemaker, both of Mason, Ohio.

The best man was the groom’s friend, Van Herring of Fayetteville.

The groomsmen were David Glemaker of Mason, Ohio, and Erik Malenfant, Steve Rogers and Mark Kirby, all of Fayetteville.

The junior groomsman was Joshua Glemaker of Mason, Ohio.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree in American studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

She is an office administrator with University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill.

The groom received his associate’s degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College.

He is a technician with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, the couple plans to live in Raleigh.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Doug Chase of Charleston, S.C.; 2Lt. Jeff Smith of Fayetteville; 2Lt. Chris Simmons of McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.; 2Lt. James Rainier of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and 1Lt. Nate Puwaloski of Virginia Beach, Va.

The bride is a graduate of Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville.

She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from Elon College.

She is a media planner/buyer with Sullivan-St. Clair Marketing & PR in Mobile, Ala.

The groom is a graduate of Westover Senior High School in Fayetteville.

He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Fayetteville State University.

He is an F-15E Weapons System Officer with the U.S. Air Force stationed at the Pensacola, Fla., Naval Air Station.

After a honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World, Fla., the couple settled in Pensacola, Fla.

Celebrating 50 Years

Janet V. Caverly and Robert H. Caverly of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 29, 2002, with a dinner and reception at The Belmont Village in Fayetteville.

Mr. and Mrs. Caverly were married icon on November 27, 1952, at St. Gertrude’s Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

They have two children, Dr. Robert H. Caverly and wife Maggie of Downingtown, Pa., and Janet Anne Caverly-Overstreet and husband Michael of Severna Park, Md.
