on December 5, 1962, in Dillon, S.C. They have five children, Anthony Haire and wife Denise, Walter L. Haire, Terrence Haire and wife Bernadine, Juan Haire and wife Demitry and Sarana Haire. The couple has two grandchildren.

Cheryl Anne Maas Rico and Rudy Rico of Fayetteville celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary November 23 to 30, 2002, with a week-long cruise to Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Rico were married
on November 26, 1977, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville. They have two children, Aaron Rico and David Rico, both of Fayetteville.

Sally Gatlin Williams and Maj. (retired) Gibson Williams of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home on November 29, 2002, with a reception hosted by their children. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were married
on December 7, 1952, in Waco, Texas. They have four children, William G. Williams of Baton Rouge, La.; Sharon Lewis and Kathy White, both of Fayetteville; and Carol Tenoschok of Kennesaw, Ga. The couple has 11 grandchildren.

The bride-elect received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently a fourth-year student at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and will receive her doctor of dental surgery degree in May 2003.
The bridegroom-elect received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He is a dentist with Smithfield Family Dentistry.
The couple plans to live in the Triangle area.

LINDEN — Bobette Nichole Blanchard of Linden and Arthur Clinton Hooper of Fayetteville were married
at 4 p.m. on September 21, 2002, in a garden wedding at the home of the bride’s parents. The Rev. Dr. Gordon Wright officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Blanchard of Linden. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Millard and Mrs. Eula Blanchard of Wilmington.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hooper of Fayetteville. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Lucas of Culloden, Ga.
The bride wore a white silk gown and carried a hand-tied bouquet of calla lilies and greenery. She wore her mother’s pearl-and-diamond earrings and pearl necklace. The bride’s 75-year-old heirloom wedding band had been worn by her great-grandmother, and mother.
After arriving by horse and carriage, the bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Grace Bogan of Wilmington. The bridesmaids were Casie Hooper and Kristin Clark, both of Fayetteville; Heather Cook of Princeton, W.Va.; and Marin Millard of Patterson, Calif. The child attendants were Tyler Harrison of Fayetteville and the groom’s cousin, Emily Hooper of Perry, Ga.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Bryon Blanchard, Chad Hooper and Timothy Nakamoto and Ross Peele, both of Fayetteville.
The wedding was directed by Cynthia Clifton and Margaret Greenwade. The wedding musicians were the Avolonte String Quartet, bagpiper Robert Palmer, soloist David Culbreth and pianist, guitarist and vocalist Deborah Campbell.
The registrar was Shelly Millard of Wilmington and Ian Drake and Kathie Drake, both of Sterling, Va., handled the welcome and programs.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held in the garden after the ceremony.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride was honored with several showers given by family and friends.
The bride is a graduate of Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. She attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is employed with Decker Automotive.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. He attended Fayetteville State University and is in the U.S. Army National Guard. He is employed with Radio Shack.
After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple settled in Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills. She is the operations manager for CentraComm TAS in Fayetteville.
The groom is a graduate of Rutherford High School in Panama City, Fla. He is in the U.S. Army with 1-504 Infantry Regiment, stationed at Fort Bragg.
After a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple settled in Hope Mills.

The bride is a graduate of Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville and East Carolina University in Greenville. She is the research coordinator with Rho Inc. in Chapel Hill.
