The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sykes of Godwin. She is the granddaugher of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hassell Sykes, all formerly of Godwin.

The bridegroom’s parents are Patricia Perez of Valrico, Fla., and Boris Perez of New York City, N.Y. He is the grandson of Belisa Ortiz of Valrico, Fla., and Bohemia Phillips of New York City, N.Y.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Amanda S. Autry of Godwin. The bridesmaids were Doris P. Seelye of Valrico, Fla.; Elizabeth P. Costa of Huntington, N.Y.; and Miriam Perez of Queens, N.Y. The flower girls were the bride’s niece, Emily Savannah Autry of Godwin, and the groom’s niece, Rachel Perez of Queens, N.Y. The cross bearer was John Badgett of Fayetteville. The acolytes were Keleigh Sykes of Fayetteville and Stephanie Sykes of Mount Olive.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Ernie Perez of Queens, N.Y. The groomsmen were William R. Autry of Godwin; Marc Costa of Huntington, N.Y., and Les Seelye of Valrico, Fla.

The wedding musicians were organist Nelle Altman-Boyce, vocalist Regina S. Bell and trumpeter Steven Fenick. The reception pianist was Laura McCauley.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the New River MCAS Officers’ Club after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Cape Fear High School in Fayetteville. She received her bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is a coordinator of recreational activities with New River MCAS in Jacksonville.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Francis Lewis High School in New York City, N.Y. He is an air traffic controller with the FAA based in Long Island, N.Y.

The couple settled in Long Island, N.Y.

Jimmy Pete Skenteris

Ashley Paige Cauble and Jimmy Pete Skenteris, both of Fayetteville, were married icon at 5 p.m. on October 6, 2002, at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Fayetteville. Father Tommy Vlahos, Father Dimitrios Moraitis and Father Chrysostom Manuel officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dixie R. Cauble and Julius A. Cauble II, both of Salisbury. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Pete K. Skenteris of Fayetteville.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matrons of honor were the bride’s friend, Nicolee Keith of Fayetteville and the bride’s sister-in-law, Faye Stamitoles of Pensacola, Fla. The bridesmaids were Michelle Birk, Roula Skenteris, Dina Lewis, Zoe Kalevas and Olga Skenteris, all of Fayetteville. The flower girls were Patricia Kalevas and Frederika Skenteris, both of Fayetteville, and the ring bearer was Peter Stamitoles of Pensacola, Fla. The tray bearer was Charles Stamitoles Jr. of Pensacola, Fla., and the chalice bearer was Pete Skenteris of Fayetteville.

The koumbari was Tommy Skenteris of Fayetteville. The best man was John Poulos of Fayetteville. The groomsmen were Dr. Charles Stamitoles of Pensacola, Fla.; and John Frangakis, Deno P. Skenteris, Deno G. Skenteris, Spero Tsiatsos and Vick Kalevas, all of Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of North Rowan High School in Spencer. She received her bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a literacy specialist with the Cumberland County Schools in Fayetteville.

The groom is a graduate of Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. He is co-owner of Haymont Grill and Steakhouse in Fayetteville.

After a honeymoon trip to the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, the couple plans to live in Fayetteville.

The bride was escorted by her father. The bridesmaids were Angie Deaton Townsend of Cary and Paige Deaton Rittberger of Huntington Station, N.Y.

The groomsmen were Rob Wright of Trinity and Rich Fulp of Fuquay-Varina.

The bride is a graduate of Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville and North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She is the cotton services manager with Carolinas Cotton Growers Cooperative.

The groom is a graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School and Appalachian State University. He is an underwriter with First Citizens Bank.

After a honeymoon trip to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, the couple plans to live in Garner.
