The bride is the daughter of Pamela Gillam Faw of Orangeburg and Michael Gerald Faw of Clearwater, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamilton Faw of Summerville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Slater Clifford Gillam.

The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Ward III of Lumberton, N.C., and North Myrtle Beach. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James McIntyre Butler of Rowland, N.C.; Mrs. John Calvin Morrison of Lumberton, N.C.; and the late John Wesley Ward Jr.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matrons of honor were the bride’s sister, Crystal Way Wannamaker of Orangeburg, and Catherine Way Johnson of Greenville, S.C. The maid of honor was Shawna Michelle Culler of Charlotte, N.C. The bridesmaids were Sara Bond McMichael and Isbell Lane Irick, both of Mt. Pleasant; Stephanie Ann House of Greer; Jill Ann Thompson and Ginger Knox Griffith, both of Greenville; Ann Wilson Mullins of Spartanburg; Emily Cassone Davis of Charleston; Louisa Jordan Morris of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; Angela Lanier Burroughs of Orangeburg; and Stacey Kelley Bannister of Hartsville. The junior bridesmaids were the bride’s niece, McKenzie Hartwell Best of Orangeburg; and the groom’s cousin, Mary Katherine Pate of Rowland, N.C. The ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Braxton Bryant Wannamaker III of Orangeburg.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were John Wesley Ward IV of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Lewis Wilfred Way III and Braxton Bryant Wannamaker Jr., and Shane Morris Burroughs, all of Orangeburg; Timothy Ray Hilton of Charlotte, N.C.; Carroll Brooks Bannister Jr. of Hartsville; John David Boone, John David Rowell, and Edmond Brent Williams, all of Greenville; Marion Felder Moore Jr. of Pawley’s Island; Gregory Martens Koch of Columbia; and Christopher Boyd Looney of Chapel Hill, N.C. The ushers were Sanders Temple Abbott of Charlotte, N.C.; Stuart Laidlaw Brown of Little Rock, Ark.; Larry Dwayne Windham Jr. of Reevesville; and Samuel O’Keefe Ray of Greenville.

The wedding musicians were organist Sylvia Huff Trimmier; vocalist Shelley Gwendolyn Owens; violinists Adam David Goldberg and Haley Marsh Calore; and trumpeter Tony Darrin Robuck.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Country Club of Orangeburg immediately after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory School and received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Converse College. She is employed with The Greenville Journal.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Wofford College. He is employed with Assure South Inc. in Spartenburg.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Greenville, S.C.

Patricia Margaret Watson &
Andrew Nelson Price

RED SPRINGS — Patricia Margaret Watson and Andrew Nelson Price were married icon at 11 a.m. on October 19, 2002, at Red Springs Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael L. McGehee and the Rev. Dr. William Smith Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Earle Alexander Watson and the late Mr. Watson. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Caswell Murchison of Red Springs.

The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Titus Nelson Price of Lumberton.

The bride wore an ivory silk gown with a full skirt ending in a court train. Her veil of ivory silk tulle fell from a diamante bandeau. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, lilies, freesia and stephanotis.

She was escorted by her brother, Earle Alexander Watson Jr. The maid of honor was Wendi Goza of Red Springs. The honorary bridesmaids were Mrs. Samuel Anderson and Mrs. Shawn Eller, both of Raleigh; Mrs. Dwayne Leggett of Red Springs; Amy Page of Clayton; Mrs. James Paul of Knightdale; and Mary Gwendolyn Thomas of Raeford.

The best man was the groom’s father. The ushers were Paul R. Stansel and William S. Burleson, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; Jacob Britt III of Fayetteville; Tracy P. Bullock of Hickory; Robert S. King of Rockingham; Shane C. O’Connor of Atltana, Ga.; George A. Price of Greer, S.C.; R. Brian Skipper of Greensboro; John H. Threewitts of Raleigh; and Gregory L. Price of Lumberton.

The wedding was directed by Mrs. John McManus. The wedding musicians were organist Mark Frazier, soprano soloist Jennifer Thomas, trumpeter Christopher Rach and tympanist Theodore Zislis.

A breakfast reception, hosted by the bride’s mother, was held in the dining hall on the Flora Macdonald campus after the ceremony.

An engagement party, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at John’s Restaurant in Lumberton on April 27, 2002.

The rehearsal dinner, held in the social hall of the Red Springs Presbyterian Church, was hosted by the groom’s parents.

Mrs. John McManus and Mrs. James Paden hosted the bridesmaid’s luncheon on October 12, 2002, at the home of Mrs. McManus in Red Springs.

Other courtesies included a bridal luncheon held at John’s Restaurant by Mrs. John Lee Davis, Mrs. J.P. Peavy, Mrs. Bill Monroe and Mrs. Donald Watson. Mrs. Jack Canady, Mrs. John Semmes and Mrs. James Paul were hostesses for a bridal luncheon at the Belmont House in Fayetteville. The staff of the District Attorney’s office in Lumberton surprised the bride with a miscellaneous shower and luncheon. Mrs. Samuel Anderson hosted a kitchen shower at her home in Raleigh. Dr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McQueen of Red Springs entertained at the Johnson home with a wine and cheese party.

A bridal tea was given by Mrs. Charles Lewis, Mrs. Elliot Smith and Mrs. W.D. Little at the home of Mrs. Lewis in Shannon. A dinner party was given by Mrs. Dorothy Wilkerson, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Dowless and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis at John’s Restaurant. The couple was entertained with a lawn-and-garden party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stone, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Price, Mr. and Mrs. David Groves and Mr. and Mrs. Carey Read and at the Read home in Lumberton.

The choir of the Red Springs Presbyterian Church gave a dinner party for the couple at the Olive Garden in Fayetteville. Circle One of Red Springs Presbyterian Church and Mrs. Harold Thrower hosted a bridal luncheon at Abigail’s Restaurant in Lumberton. Mrs. Myrle McFarland, Mrs. Harvey Gaskins, Mrs. Bill Currie, Mrs. Sherry Ransom and Mrs. John Robertson were hostesses for a shower held at the home of Mrs. McFarland in Red Springs.

A barbecue held at Greenstate Nursery in Lumberton was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Lawton Baker, Mrs. James Bullock, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bullock, Mrs. William Carmical, Kathy Carmical, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Skipper, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Skipper, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stansel, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Stansel, Mr. and Mrs. Al Threewitts, Jay Threewitts and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Taylor.

The couple was entertained by Mr. and Mrs. John McNeill at a dinner party at John’s Restaurant in Lumberton.

The bride is a graduate of Peace College in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She made her debut at the North Carolina Terpsichorean Debutante Ball. She is a victim witness legal assistant for the Robeson County District Attorney’s Office in Lumberton.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and East Carolina University in Greenville. He is a staff accountant with Nelson Price & Associates, P.A., in Lumberton.

After a honeymoon trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple will live in Red Springs.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Farmer Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C. The groom’s parents are Ross Anthony May Sr. of New Rochelle, and the late Mrs. May.

The bride was escorted by her mother and father. The maid of honor was the groom’s cousin, Donna May of Mount Vernon. The honor attendants were Francesta E. Farmer of Abuja, Nigeria; Dr. Mychelle Y. Farmer of Baltimore, Md.; April D. Jenkins of Washington, D.C.; Niambi A. Ormes-Alleyne of Bronx; Lorraine DeGraffenreidt of Baltimore, Md.; and Karen May of New Haven, Conn. The bride is a graduate of Chatham Hall, Girls Preparatory School of Chatham, Va. She received her bachelor’s degree in audiology and speech pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a teacher at private school for preschool students in New Rochelle. She also teaches at Lehman College in Bronx.

The groom is a graduate of New Rochelle High School and attended Berkley College in Boston, Mass, and the Institute of Audio Engineering. Presently, he is manager of the Guitar Center in Larchmont.

After a honeymoon trip to Puerto Rico and a Caribbean cruise, the couple settled in New Rochelle.
