at 6 p.m. on August 10, 2002, at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Mack Musselwhite officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Walters of St. Pauls. The groom’s parents are Carol M. Murdock of St. Pauls and the late Baxter S. Musselwhite.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maids of honor were the bride’s roommates, Laurie Roth and Stacey Phillips, both of Chapel Hill. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Hay, Amber Bedenbaugh and Christy Musselwhite, all of St. Pauls; Amy Budd of Durham; Gretta Gray of Wilmington; and Hannah Russell of Waco, Texas.
The best men were the groom’s brothers, David Musselwhite of St. Pauls and Wesley Musselwhite of Garner. The groomsmen were Derek Owens and McCall King, both of St. Pauls; Jamie Kinlaw of Tar Heel; Lane Garner of Dublin; Jay Pigford of Greenville; and Corey Crabtree of Raleigh.
The bride is a graduate of St. Pauls High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the the school of nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a registered nurse at the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The groom is a graduate of Tar Heel High School and Bladen Community College. He received his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He is employed by the Nash County Farm Service Agency.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Augustine, Fla., the couple plans to live in Morrisville.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Yarborough of Bladenboro. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young of Hope Mills.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Stephanie Vendrick of Bladenboro. The bridesmaids were Stephanie Lee of Bladenboro and Tonya Parker-Hughes of Fayetteville. The flower girl was Tena Lee of Bladenboro. The ring bearer was Evan Young of Hope Mills.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Robert Young Jr. of Hope Mills, Jay Yergeau of Falcon and Tatum Buckley of Stedman.
The bride is a graduate of Bladenboro High School. She received her associate’s degree in applied science/paralegal technology from Fayetteville Technical Community College and is currently attending Methodist College. She is a paralegal with Cook, Ivarsson and Shober Attorneys in Fayetteville .
The groom is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He is a police officer for the City of Fayetteville.
After a honeymoon trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple plans to live in Bladenboro.

on August 24, 1952, in Fayetteville. They have three children, Linda Gust Arp and spouse Mike of Fayetteville, Tommy Gust of Charlotte and Mary Gust Totty and spouse Bill of Hickory. The couple has four grandchildren.

on August 16, 1952, in Trenton. They have three children, Linda Norris of Twin Falls, Idaho; Dianne Schumacher of Pinehurst; and James Howard of Fayetteville. The couple has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Pemberton of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Annie M. Ellerby of Lilesville, the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Galloway Sr. of St. Paul, Minn. She is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Pemberton of Rockingham.
The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnson of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Lutoria Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Johnson, all of Raleigh, and the late Joe Morgan.
The bride wore a white satin gown accented with buttons which extended down the length of the cathedral train. Her cathedral-length veil was attached to a headband featuring seeded pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of white calla lilies and baby’s breath which was dyed periwinkle blue to match the bridesmaid’s gowns.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Jawnza Dunbar of Charlotte. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister-in-law, Erin Pemberton of Fayetteville. The bridesmaids were Rihana Galloway-Dawkins of Hixson, Tenn.; Mari Mew of Woodbridge, Va.; Melodi Pemberton and Sherrie Johnson, both of Alexandria, Va.; McRae Fairey of Charleston, S.C.; and Susan Milliken of Durham. The flower girl was Loryn Amanda Pemberton of Fayetteville.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Darick Pemberton of Fayetteville; Rohan Galloway-Dawkins of Hixson, Tenn.; Dave Arriola of Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.; Jeremy Fields of Enid, Okla.; Andre X. Morgan Jr. of Angier; and Jerry E. Morgan Jr. of Raleigh.
The wedding was directed by Romelia Rothrock of Romelia’s Bridal Shop. The wedding musicians were organist Antoinette McNeil and soloist Robin Walker of Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents and directed by the bride’s aunt, Gladys Pemberton, was held at the Fort Bragg Officer’s Club after the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Westover Senior High School in Fayetteville. She received her bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University in Charlotte and her master’s degree in administration from the Fort Bragg branch of Central Michigan University. The bride is a human resources specialist and was previously employed by Nucor Steel Corp. in Charlotte.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville. He received his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is a B-2 pilot with the U.S. Air Force stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.
After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple settled in Kansas City, Mo.
