HUNTERSVILLE — Tanya Jo Branch of Stanley and Charles Brandon McLamb of Chapel Hill were married icon at 6 p.m. on August 3, 2002, at Lake Norman Baptist Church. The Rev. Landon Horton officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Branch of Stanley. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ricks Branch of Raeford, the late Mr. Branch, the late Frances Branch, Rosie Allen of Charlotte and Charles Fennewald of Warrensburg, Mo. The groom’s parents are Janet McLamb of Chapel Hill and the late Charles Harold McLamb. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McLamb and Mary Barbour, all of Fayetteville, and Durwood Hudson of Falcon.

The bride wore a custom-made, satin strapless gown and carried a bouquet of cream-colored Vandella roses accented with pink baby-sweetheart roses.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was Erin Swearingen. The bridesmaids were Kendall Bain, Debbie Bolick, Kim Branch, Tamara Garlow, Rebecca Jones and Andrea Matoska. The junior bridesmaid was Taylor Garlow and the flower girls were Cassidy Branch and Kennedy Garlow, all nieces of the bride.

The best man was Tony Gore. The groomsmen were Greg Branch, Travis Gore, Nathan McLamb, Herman Naftel, Heath Petty and Josh Ward. The junior groomsman was Kyle Branch and the ring bearer was Nicholas Branch, both nephews of the bride.

The reception was held at River Run Country Club after the ceremony.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University.

The groom also received his bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University.

After a honeymoon trip to Ixtapa, Mexico, the couple plans to live in Austin, Texas.

David Matthew Alwine

Angel Lynn Fitzgerald and David Matthew Alwine, both of Bunnlevel, were married icon at 3 p.m. on July 6, 2002, at The Rose Garden in Fayetteville. The Rev. Ronald W. Liggins officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Allen Fitzgerald of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Eugene Alwine of Stafford, Va.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Susan Torgerson of Fort Bragg. The bridesmaid was Anna Ferguson. The flower girls were Sarah Lebo and Brianna Lebo, both of Clarksville, Tenn., and the ring bearer was Kenneth Torgerson of Fort Bragg.

The best man was the groom’s friend, Lee Torgerson of Fort Bragg. The groomsman was Mike Wenzel of Raleigh.

The bride is a graduate of Pine Forest High School of Fayetteville. She is the office manager for Fitzgerald’s Road Service in Fayetteville.

The groom is a graduate of Homeschool in Stafford, Va., and is currently attending Methodist College in Fayetteville. He is a light-weight vehicle mechanic with the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bragg.

After a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple plans to live in Bunnlevel.

William Linwood Coker III

ARDEN — Brandy Michelle Gray of Horse Shoe and Dr. William Linwood Coker III, of Spring Lake were married icon at 2 p.m. on June 22, 2002, at High Vista Country Club. The Rev. Chris Gray and the Rev. Ray Wittman officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Gray of Horse Shoe. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Coker of Tarboro.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Marshanda Pinchok of Knoxville, Tenn. The bridesmaids were Summer McLennan of Hendersonville and Cherie Gray of Spring Hill, Tenn. The flower girls were Allea Hawkins and Blaire Hawkins, both of Hendersonville. The ring bearers were Justin Gray of Landrum, S.C., and Caleb Gray of Spring Hill, Tenn.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Mickey Gray of Horse Shoe and Ben Herman of Fairfield.

The bride is a graduate of East Henderson High School in East Flat Rock. She received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee. She teaches high school and coaches cheerleading in Henderson County.

The groom is a graduate of Tarboro-Edgecombe Academy. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian College and his doctorate in chemistry from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He is an assistant chemistry professor and lab coordinator at Campbell University in Dunn.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean, the couple plans to live in Spring Lake.

Reed Conrad Mikkelsen

Elizabeth Anne Sanders of Fayetteville and Reed Conrad Mikkelsen of Fort Bragg were married icon at 11 a.m. on May 25, 2002, at the Raleigh Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Earl Brock officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Sanders of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mikkelsen of Kennewick, Wash.

The bridesmaids were Sarah Sanders, Rebecca Sanders, Laura Vancour and Catherine Sanders, all of Fayetteville.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Spencer Mikkelsen of Kennewick, Wash. The groomsman was Mark Sanders of Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville and Brigham Young University in Utah.

The groom is a graduate of Carlsbad High School. He is with the Special Forces in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bragg.

After a honeymoon trip to Asheville, the couple plans to live in Fayetteville.

The bride is the daughter of Debra Skipper and Kenneth Skipper, both of Fayetteville. She is the stepdaughter of Kenny West of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Odell Barefoot of Fayetteville.

The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Howard Packer of Fayetteville. The matron of honor was Patricia Hill of Fayetteville. The bridesmaid was Angela Stewart of Fayetteville. The flower girl was Jessica Bradshaw and the ring bearer was Tyler Barefoot. The miniature bride was Sara Barefoot and the miniature groom was Tommy Barefoot.

The best man was the groom’s friend, Josh Steelman of Fayetteville. The groomsmen were Johnny Hartman, Justin Adams and Vince Roderick, all of Fayetteville.

Ashlea Paige Snipes and Steven Eric Bramble, both of Hope Mills, were married icon at 4 p.m. on July 20, 2002, at Northwood Temple in Fayetteville. The Rev. John Hedgepeth officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Snipes of Hope Mills. The groom’s parents are Wanda Bramble of Fayetteville and Mickey Bramble of Hope Mills.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s cousin, Misty Snipes of Hope Mills. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Melissa Ledford of Hope Mills. The honorary bridesmaids were Christy Colbourne and Heather Jenkins, both of Hope Mills; Erica Brown of Wade; Melissa Vann and Constance Vann, both of Fayetteville; Kim Sessoms of Sanford; and Vanessa Wilson of Raeford. The flower girl was Sydney Jenkins of Hope Mills and the ring bearer was Hunter Cameron of Sanford.

The bride is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from East Carolina University in Greenville. She is a second-grade teacher with the Cumberland County Schools.

The groom is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills. He is an operator with Progress Energy-North Carolina Natural Gas.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean, the couple settled in Hope Mills.

Marianne K. Hudson and John N. Hudson Sr. of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2002, with a pig-picking barbecue at the Moose Lodge in Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. Hudson were married icon on June 17, 1952, in Fulda, Germany. They have three children, Billie Price and husband, Bob of Boylston, Mass.; John Hudson Jr. and wife, Cathy of Fayetteville; and Peggy Peterson and husband, Terry of Charlotte. The couple has seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ann Willetts Jones and Woodly H. Jones of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 9, 2002, with a party hosted by their children in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Jones were married icon on August 9, 1952, in Dillon, S.C. They have four children, Sue Jones Jordan and spouse Bobby; Paul Jones and spouse Kitty; Kenny Jones and spouse Barbara and Gerald Taylor and spouse Jerre.
