NAGS HEAD, NC - Terri Elizabeth Fewell and John Braxton Vaught were married icon at 7 p.m. November 3rd, 2001 at St. Andrews by the Sea Epsicopal Church in Nags Head, NC. The Reverend Charles E.B. Gill officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Cindy MacMurdo and Jon Paul Young of Chapel Hill, NC and Debra and Steven R. Fewell of Woodbridge, VA.Terri is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brice Fewell of Birmingham, AL and Mrs. Robert A. MacMurdo of Chapel Hill, NC.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Vaught, Sr. of Kitty Hawk, NC. John is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Benton of Suffolk, VA.
The honor attendant was Melissa LaMorte of New York, NY. The other bridal attendants were Lorinda Roach of Woodbridge, VA; Rudy Walker of Dale City VA; and Heather MacMurdo Guerra, cousin of the bride, from Burlington, NC.
The best man was Robert E.Vaught, Jr., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Scott Lewis of Charlotte, NC; and Christopher Fewell, brother of the bride, from Woodbridge, VA, and Jon Paul Young, stepfather of the bride, from Chapel Hill, NC.
Flower girls were Taylor MacMurdo Smith and Emma Guerra of Burlington. Ring bearer was Tanner MacMurdo Smith. Taylor, Tanner and Emma are cousins of the bride.
The bride wore an a - line floor length embellished tulle and ivory, satin, strapless dress with tulle shirred at the waist. The cathedral - length veil was trimmed in ribbon and the headpiece was hand made of small seashells. The bridal attendants wore matte jersey, slightly off the shoulder, bisque colored tops with an a - line floor length, layered skirt colored mink.
A reception was held at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island.
The newlyweds will honeymoon in Cozumel and Cancun. Upon their return they will reside in Nags Head, NC.

Hoyle - Suther

HENDERSON, NC - Miss Katherine Joy Hoyle and Mr. John Davis Suther were united in marriage on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
Dr. and Mrs. Wilson Smith Hoyle, Jr. of Henderson, are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Wilson Smith Hoyle, Sr., the late Mr. Wilson Smith Hoyle, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Opie Frazier, Sr. all of Henderson.
The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ritchie Suther of Concord. He is the grandson of Mrs. John Hugh Davis, the late Mr. John Hugh Davis of Winston - Salem and Mrs. John Daniel Suther, the late Mr. John Daniel Suther of Concord.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Suzanne Hoyle Cheever. Bridesmaids were Harriet Hoyle, Kate Hoyle, Jennifer Trexler, Olivia Hill, Mary Genia Day, Becky Daniel, Andie Johnson, Jessica Currin, Andrea Howes, Virginia Frazier, Laura Beth Payne, Carrie Wilkerson, Beth Meeks, Bonnie Daniel, Merritt Ashton, Corey Thompson and Sharon Mohiser.
Miss Lindsay Baldwin Hoyle, niece of the bride, of Durham served as flower girl.
Louis Ritchie Suther was best man. Groomsmen were George D. Hoyle, Wilson S. Hoyle, III, Christopher R. Cheever, Sr., Kevin Trexler, Tony Holmes, Doug Herring, Shad Ritchie, Daniel Rowland, Lebert A. Howes, II, Harold N. Frazier, II and Chad Wilkerson.
Master Christopher Ray Cheever, Jr. and Master George David Hoyle, Jr.served as ring bearers.
The bride's parents entertained at a reception at the Henderson Convention Center.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Northern Vance High School. She received a B.S. degree in Child Development with her K - 6 certification in 1999 from Meredith College.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He received a B.S. degree in Textile Management in 1996 from North Carolina State University. He is employed by Parkdale America in Lexington, North Carolina.
Following a wedding trip to Orlando, Florida, the couple will make their home in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Nicks - Ott

WINSTON SALEM, NC - Melea Suzanne Nicks and William Bancroft Ott III were married icon on Saturday evening, November 3, 2001 at Centenary Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony officiated by Dr. Donald Mann and Dr. Robert Nations. Following the ceremony, a reception at Graylyn was hosted by the bride's parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Byron Nicks of Clemmons, North Carolina. She graduated from Appalachian State University and is employed as an Interior Designer with Thomasville Furniture.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James William Ott of Chapel Hill. He graduated from Appalachian State University and is employed as a Desktop Field Technician with The Carolinas Health Care System.
The bride wore a pearl satin princess cut gown with medieval inspired beading and embroidery.
Her maid of honor was Miss Holly Christine Brown of Athens, Georgia. The bride's other attendants were Mrs. Caleigh Harris Evans, Miss Shannon Ruth Lowe and Mrs. Tara Sparks Pitts, all of Winston Salem, NC; Mrs. Suzanne Gainey Hensley of Greensboro, NC; Mrs. Ashley Red Jones of Columbia, SC; Miss Lillian Amanda Keeler of Beaufort, SC; Mrs. Kathryn Ott Kieser of Lawrenceville, GA, sister of the groom; Miss Any Lynn Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; and Mrs. Kristin Hayes Morris of Charlotte, NC.
Flower girls were Miss Chandler Elizabeth Welborn of Booneville, NC and Miss Sarah Marie Kent of Cornelius, NC, cousins of the bride.
Best man was Mr. James William Ott, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Mr.William Harrington Abbey, Mr. Albert Steven Greene, Mr. Robert Andrew Hale and Mr. Greogry Byron Nicks, brother of the groom, all of Charlotte, NC; Mr. Michael Scott Freund of Chapel Hill, NC; Mr. Chadwick Boyd Harris of Smithfield, NC; Mr. Dwight Charles Kieser of Lawrenceville, GA, brother - in - law of the groom; Mr. Dennis Todd Marlow of Los Angeles, CA; and Mr. Andrew Davidson Wilde of Fresco, CO.
The wedding weekend celebration included a Bridesmaids' Luncheon, at the Vineyard's Restaurant, given by the bride's aunts, a Rehearsal Dinner at Noble's, hosted by the groom's parents, and an informal Sunday Brunch, hosted by the bride's parents.
After a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple will live in Concord, NC.

Brooks - Hill

Mrs. Greta C. Brooks of Durham, NC announces the engagement of her daughter, Gela Gayle Brooks to David Earl Hill, II.
The bride - elect graduated from high school at Vance Granville Community College. She is employed by Duke University Political Science Department as Administrative Secretary.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Hill of Hillsborough, NC. He graduated from Orange High School. He is employed by Winter Mountain Bottle Water Company as a Route Salesman.
They plan a March 9th, 2002 wedding at Braggtown Baptist Church in Durham, NC.

Abrahamson - Yamauchi

CHAPEL HILL, NC - Deborah Parks Abrahamson and Naoshi Yamauchi, both of Chapel Hill, were married icon on July 21, 2001 at 6 p.m. at the United Church of Chapel Hill.
The Rev. Timothy Conder officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of The Reverend and Mrs. James O. Abrahamson of Chapel Hill.
The bridegroom is the son of The Doctors Mitsuo and Shizuko Yamauchi of Chapel Hill.
The couple presently resides in Chapel Hill.

Coston - Clements

BAHAMA, NC - Theodora Maria Coston and William Shane Clements were married icon at 4 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2001 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Bahama.
The Rev. Ron Snider officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Cynthia Mahon of Leland, NC.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark E. Clements of Bahama, NC.
