The bride was escorted by her mother. The maid of honor was Terri Thomas of Garner. The matron of honor was Dana Trussell of Upper Marlboro, Md. The bridesmaids were Kymm Clayton of New Brunswick, N.J., and Stephanie Johnson of Upper Marlboro, Md. The flower girl was Eden Blaine of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Stephan Whitlock of Charlottesville, Va. The town crier was Kameryn Trussell of Upper Marlboro, Md. The Bible carrier was Rodney Morris of Harrisonburg, Va.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Dwight Gordon of Suitland, Md.; Darris Matthews of Fort Washington, Md.; and Andre Springs of Washington, D.C.

The bride is an employee relations specialist with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

The groom is a senior technician with Automated Cable Services.

After a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple will live in Laurel, Md.

Lois Geraldine Feuchter Whitmeyer and Ernest Nall Whitmeyer of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 17, 2002, with a seven-day Caribbean cruise which was a gift from their children. Mr. and Mrs. Whitmeyer were married icon on May 17, 1952, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, N.J. They have two children, Arthur Leonce Whitmeyer and wife Robin of Charlotte, and James Jay Whitmeyer and wife Sheila of Wilmington. The couple has one grandchild.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davey M. Barrett of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Virgie Cook of Fayetteville and the late Joe Cook.

The bridegroom’s parents are Linda O. McNaughten of Hope Mills and Ron McNaughten of Mebane. He is the stepson of Glenda McNaughten of Mebane. The bridegroom’s grandparents are Mrs. Margarethe Osborne of Fayetteville and the late Samuel Osborne.

The bride wore a white Italian-satin, princess-style gown which featured a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. The gown was accented with re-embroidered alencon lace, pearls and Austrian crystals. Austrian crystals and beads cascaded down the skirt which flowed into a cathedral-length train with scalloped alencon lace, pearls and crystals. Her veil featured two tiers of elbow-length illusion which was attached to a tiara of alencon lace, pearls and crystals. The bride carried a flowing cascade of white stargazer lilies, blue bird and eskimos roses and white dendrobium orchids, which were accented with English ivy, stephanotis and pearls.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Shannon Hardin of Hope Mills. The bridesmaids were Amber Stoudt of Hope Mills and Marie Evans, Amanda Cook and Carrie King, all of Fayetteville. The flower girls were Brittney Evans and Kristan Lovick, both of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Brandon Evans of Fayetteville.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Ronnie McNaughten of Hope Mills. The groomsmen were Lawrence Hardin and Moris Helwig, both of Fayetteville; Ron McNaughten of Mebane; and Clyde Jeffries of Hope Mills.

The wedding was directed by Carol Spilane and Kim Brisson. The wedding musicians were organist Maurice Peele; flutists Brittney Acres and Jamie Gilio; and soloists James Cook and Christie Marley.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Gates Four Country Club after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills and Fayetteville Technical Community College. She is employed in insurance and billing with Carolina Neurosurgical Services in Fayetteville.

The bridegroom is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills. He is certified in orthotics and prosthetics and is employed with Total Rehab Orthotics and Prosthetics in Fayetteville.

After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple settled in Fayetteville.

The honorary bridesmaids were Jennifer Beaver of Studio City, Calif.; Holly Cooper of Selma; Karen Johnson of Wilmington; Rebekah Johnson of Raleigh; and Molly Parrish of Smithfield. The flower girl was Jenna Bowman of Raleigh.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Christopher Michael Sheeler of Timionium, Md. The groomsmen were Michael Alberghini of Annapolis, Md.; Lee Bowman of Owings Mills, Md.; Joseph Donlevy and Kevin Johnson, both of Charlotte; Andrew Shaw of Greenville; and Jason Yeager of Baltimore, Md.

The bride is a graduate of Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from East Carolina University. She is an account manager with MBNA in Baltimore, Md.
