The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davey M. Barrett of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Virgie Cook of Fayetteville and the late Joe Cook.
The bridegroom’s parents are Linda O. McNaughten of Hope Mills and Ron McNaughten of Mebane. He is the stepson of Glenda McNaughten of Mebane. The bridegroom’s grandparents are Mrs. Margarethe Osborne of Fayetteville and the late Samuel Osborne.
The bride wore a white Italian-satin, princess-style gown which featured a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. The gown was accented with re-embroidered alencon lace, pearls and Austrian crystals. Austrian crystals and beads cascaded down the skirt which flowed into a cathedral-length train with scalloped alencon lace, pearls and crystals. Her veil featured two tiers of elbow-length illusion which was attached to a tiara of alencon lace, pearls and crystals. The bride carried a flowing cascade of white stargazer lilies, blue bird and eskimos roses and white dendrobium orchids, which were accented with English ivy, stephanotis and pearls.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Shannon Hardin of Hope Mills. The bridesmaids were Amber Stoudt of Hope Mills and Marie Evans, Amanda Cook and Carrie King, all of Fayetteville. The flower girls were Brittney Evans and Kristan Lovick, both of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Brandon Evans of Fayetteville.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Ronnie McNaughten of Hope Mills. The groomsmen were Lawrence Hardin and Moris Helwig, both of Fayetteville; Ron McNaughten of Mebane; and Clyde Jeffries of Hope Mills.
The wedding was directed by Carol Spilane and Kim Brisson. The wedding musicians were organist Maurice Peele; flutists Brittney Acres and Jamie Gilio; and soloists James Cook and Christie Marley.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Gates Four Country Club after the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills and Fayetteville Technical Community College. She is employed in insurance and billing with Carolina Neurosurgical Services in Fayetteville.
The bridegroom is a graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills. He is certified in orthotics and prosthetics and is employed with Total Rehab Orthotics and Prosthetics in Fayetteville.
After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple settled in Fayetteville.
