Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 1999 at First Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids by Rev. Rick Gaskins. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday.

RALEIGH - Mark Alan and Laura "Lauri' Bullis Moore announce the birth and death of a daughter, Briley Ashlyn Moore on January 27, 1999 at Rex Hospital.
Private graveside services were held at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro, NC.

PINEHURST - Mrs. Mary Fuller Perkins, 67, of Pinehurst, died January 28, 1999 at First Health/Moore Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Perkins was born February 19, 1931 in Taylor County, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas L. Perkins of Pinehurst; two sons, Lee Perkins (wife, Patti, and son, Jackson) of San Diego, CA., and Jack Perkins of Chapel Hill; two brothers, Grady B. Fuller of McLean, VA., and Jack D. Fuller of Placerville, CA; one sister, Patricia F. Kennedy of Eustis, FL.
Funeral service will be private.

BENJAMIN "TIP' TRUEBLOOD
ROCKY MOUNT - Benjamin "Tip' Trueblood, 75, died Thursday morning, January 28, 1999. He was the son of the late Mary B. Wimberley Trueblood and John Edward Trueblood.
Mr. Trueblood was a native of Rocky Mount and lived in this area all of his life. He was a retired employee of Tri-County Industries. Mr. Trueblood was also a U.S. Air Force pilot veteran and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Whitfield Trueblood; son, Joseph Privette and wife Cathy of Idabel, OK; daughters, Robbie and husband Claus Kazenmaier of Karlsruhe, Germany and New Orleans, LA, and Betty B. Trueblood of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 301 Circle Dr., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
Arrangements for the Trueblood family are by the Cremation Society of the Carolinas, Inc., Raleigh.
PAULINE A. USSERY
RALEIGH - Pauline A. Ussery, 70, formally of Raleigh, died January 26, 1999. Pauline was born in Goldsboro, on July 4, 1928. She resided in Raleigh for more than 55 years before moving to Clifton, VA to live with her son Paul and his family. Pauline graduated from Hugh Morson High School in 1946, and from Peace College in 1948. She held many administrative positions for the Wake County Mental Health Center from 1948 until her retirement in 1992. Pauline was a loving and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sophia Agrimis.
She is survived by her son, Paul Ussery and his wife, Louise of Clifton, VA; brother, James P. "Greek" Agrimis of Raleigh; granddaughter, Lisa Nicole Ussery of Clifton, VA; former husband, Robert E. Ussery of Raleigh.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Raleigh. The burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
Flowers will be graciously accepted.

TARBORO - Jean Barnhill Taylor, 67, died Friday.

RALEIGH - Robert E. Butler, 80, was a retired machinist with Dillon Supply for 50 years.
Mr. Butler was a body donor to Duke Medical Center for medical research.

TARBORO - Elise T. Carpenter, 96, died Wednesday. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert E. Burns, III officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Patricia Carpenter Ruffin of Glen Allen, VA, Virginia Carpenter Minton of Norlina; sisters, Lily P. Taylor and Helen Taylor Page, both of Tarboro; sisters-in-law, Nettie S. WILLIAM W. "BILL" CARRAWAY
McColl, S.C. - Mr. William Walter "Bill" Carraway, 84, of 3257 Academy Road, died Thursday, April 8, at Hamlet Hospital in Hamlet, N.C.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Carl Hunsucker. Burial will follow in Adams-McGregor Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Eutha A. Carraway; two daughters, Mattie Frank Carraway of the home and Betty C. Lee of Asheboro, N.C.; three brothers, Arthur Carraway of Snow Hill, N.C., E.R. "Pete" Carraway of Greenville, N.C., Ben Carraway of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Pattie Carraway of Snow Hill, N.C.; two grandchildren, Betsy Lee and Charlie Lee of Asheboro, N.C.
He was born October 2, 1914 in Greene County, NC and was a son of William J. and Dora Shingleton Carraway. He graduated from Snow Hill High School and attended the University of North Carolina. He was a farmer for most of his life, however he served on the NC Highway Patrol, attaining the rank of Corporal and was employed in the Compliance Section of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, US Department of Agriculture, from which he retired.
He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, which he served as treasurer for many years.

Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.

MOREHEAD CITY - Monnie E. Freeman, 85, of Morehead City, died Thursday at Halyburton Naval Hospital, Cherry Point. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and AARP. Service 11 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 1999 at First United Methodist Church with the pastor, Dr. Milton H. Gilbert and the associate pastor, the Rev. Benjamin E. Wells, officiating.
Survivors: husband, Gordon Earl Freeman; daughter, Ina Freeman Collins of Morehead City; son, Douglas Emory Freeman of Morehead City; sisters, Eula Vennurucci, South San Francisco, CA, Maxine Massey of Maude, OK, Ann Henshaw of Shawnee, OK; brother, Harold Gilliam Chandler, OK; four grandchildren.

RALEIGH - Mrs. Allie Wicker Galloway, 90, died Thursday at Mayview Convalescent Center in Raleigh. The family would like to Thank the nurses and staff for their loving care of Mrs. Galloway.
Mrs. Galloway was a native of Lee County, lived in Augusta, Ga., and Asheville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James E. Starnes and Roy J. Galloway.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 11 at the Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville at 4 p.m.
Surviving: daughters, Shirley Starnes English and her husband, Hal L. English of Raleigh, Helen Starnes Whitesitt and her husband, Dale E.
