Pamela Furman Little, 64, of Winston-Salem died November 22 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1942 in Plattsburgh, NY to Edward Howard and Martha Kate McFee Furman.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Ronald John Little of the home; two daughters, Mary Catherine Baskin and husband Tim of Clemmons and Kelly Little Hill of Winston-Salem; a sister, Edwina Sandra Cleveland of Highlands; grandsons Timmy Baskin and J. Taylor Baskin; a granddaughter, Danielle Hill; and a great-grandchild, L. Gage Baskin.
A memorial service was held at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Bynum officiating.

Muriel Holcomb Morris
Muriel Holcomb Morris of Pfafftown died November 22 at High Point Regional Medical Hospital. She was born in Yadkin County to Pete and Gladys Holcomb. She retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a member of Pfafftown Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Thomas E. Vestal of Pfafftown; a granddaughter; and four sisters.
A memorial service was held at Pfafftown Baptist Church.

Reece David Cecile
Reece David Cecile, 62, of Lewisville died December 3 at his home. He was born February 20, 1944 in Forsyth County to Reece T. and Lynette Newman Cecile. He was retired as owner and operator of David Cecile Grading and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Lewisville.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Diane Hege Cecile of the home; two sons, David Cecile and wife Leanne of Tobaccoville and Scott Cecile and wife Jennifer of Pfafftown; a grandson, Dylan Montgomery Cecile; four sisters, Betty Moore, Shirley Horton, Kay Idol and Gail Shipley; five brothers, Richard, Paul, Donnie, Jerry and Ronnie Cecile; and a special friend of the home, Sarah Bergman.
Funeral services were held at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Al Helms and Rev. James Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Forsyth Regional Cancer Center, Attn. Sharon Murphy, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103; to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103; or to the American Heart Association, 202 CentrePort Drive, Suite 100, Greensboro, NC 27409.

Thomas Franklin Norman Sr.
Thomas Franklin Norman Sr., 76, of Waynesville died December 1 at his residence. He was born in Brim, Va., on January 28, 1930, to the late Jasper and Blanche Gambill Norman. He received a B.S. in business administration at UNC Chapel Hill and then retired from General Motors, where he worked as a sales representative. He was a member of Waynesville Masonic Lodge No. 259 F&AM. He was of the Methodist faith. He was the caretaker of his entire family. He was an outstanding craftsman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John H.C. Norman.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Fowler Norman; a son, Thomas F. Norman Jr. and wife JoAnn of Asheboro; two daughters, Laura Motsinger and husband J. Robert of Clemmons and Margaret Brown and husband Timothy of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Justin Baker, Morgan Brown, Travis Norman, Caitlin Brown and R. Cody Motsinger; and a sister, Mary Sue Norman Beaver of Wilkesboro.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. this Saturday, December 16 in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations in Waynesville. Waynesville Mason Lodge No. 259 will conduct the service.

Jill Manuel Roberts
Jill Manuel Roberts, 55, of Kernersville died November 28 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 18, 1951 in Forsyth County to Roy Cornelius and Faye Osborne Manuel. She was a senior underwriter for GMAC. She loved the beach and mountains and her Welsh corgi, “Lacey.” She was a big supporter of the Cancer Walk.
Surviving are her parents; her husband, Harry Lee Roberts of the home; a son, Michael Roberts and wife Sherri of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Lea Flynn and husband Rick of Lewisville and Tracy Manuel of Sedge Garden; a sister-in-law, Shelvia Wise of Kernersville; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Roberts and wife Kay.
Funeral services were held at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Phil Bauguess and Rev. Ellis Rouse officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Anthony Franklin Teague
Anthony “Tony” Franklin Teague, 67, of Winston-Slaem died November 27 after a short battle with cancer. He was born January 19, 1939 to Wilburn Woodrow and Margaret Lyerly Teague. He was retired from Winston-Salem Health Care with 15 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Gurney H. Allen; and his brother, Larry W. Teague.
Surviving are a daughter, Velvet T. Lawing and husband Chris of Concord; two sons, Mark Teague of High Point and Rusty Teague and wife Kim of Clemmons; four grandchildren, Brittni Teague, Stacy Teague, Rusty Teague II and Caleb Lawing; and a brother, Richard H. Allen and wife Sandra of Clemmons.
Funeral services were held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David Beaty officiating. Burial followed in Forsyth Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Juvenile Diabetes. Research Foundation, 1401 Old Mill Circle, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

Hazel Virginia King
Hazel Virginia King, 89, of Pfafftown died December 3, 2006. She was born on October 26, 1917, in Yadkin County to the late Arthur and Dollies Hobson Lakey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Roy King.
Surviving are her sister, Margaret E. Harrell of Oak Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at Forbush Friends.

Gene Paul Walker
Gene Paul Walker, 76, of Clemmons died January 21 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1930, to Carl F. and Nettie Jennings Walker. He was a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and the B.A. Culp Class and served the church faithfully. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in 1987 with 40 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Joe, James, Marvin and Frank; along with a sister, Miriam James.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Dewilla Creed Walker of the home; a daughter, Sheila Padgett and husband Nick of Monroe; a son, Gene Paul Walker Jr. and wife Anna; grandsons Joe Collins of Charlotte and Wilson and Ryan Walker; great-grandchildren Ryan Collins of Denver, Colo., and Jocelyn Collins of Charlotte; a sister, Helen Smith; a brother-in-law, Richard Creed; sisters-in-law Jean Hartman, Thelma Walker and Imogene Cutrell; and many nephews, nieces, and their spouses and children.
Funeral services were held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Forsyth Memorial Park. Memorials be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1210 Bolton St., Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Rupert Alvin Duggins
Rupert Alvin Duggins, 54, of Lewisville died January 21. He was born July 5, 1952, in Stokes County to Walter Lee and Lillie Mae Bennett Duggins. He was presently employed at Home Depot on Hanes Mall Boulevard in Winston-Salem and was previously employed by Quality Oil Co. for 11 years. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Josie Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Deanna Hargrove Duggins; four brothers, Ralph Duggins of King, Pete Duggins and wife Mary of Galax, Va., Jay Duggins of Walkertown and Norris Duggins of King; a sister-in-law, Marguerite Duggins, of King; two brothers-in-law, Richard Collins and wife Karla of Williamsburg, Va., and Scott Collins and wife Michelle of Smithfield, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and two very special people, Marshall and Marlene Denny.
Funeral services were held at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Baptist Church, Benevolent Fund, 5413 N.C. 66 Highway, King, NC 27021.

Rebecca Etheridge
Rebecca Etheridge, 46, of Yadkinville died January 15 at her home. She was born December 17, 1960, in Guilford County to Joseph A. and Becky Hunter Etheridge. She was an avid lover of horses and cats, and worked as a dispatcher in communications with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Wilson Hunter; paternal grandmother, Gladys Pender Etheridge; and by a brother, Ret. Maj. Bill Etheridge, (USAF).
Surviving are her, Justin Shew and wife Heather of Yadkinville; her grandson, Caleb Shew; her mother, Becky H. Etheridge of Clemmons; her father, Joseph A. Etheridge of Winston-Salem; her grandmother, Ruth Burns Hunter of Morganton; her former husband, Mike Shew; two sisters, Robin Etheridge and husband Monte)Jennings of Yadkinville and Lynn Etheridge McLain and husband Clyde of Mocksville; two brothers, Charles Etheridge and wife Kristi of Mocksville and her twin brother, Joseph Etheridge and wife Myra of Clemmons; and nieces and nephews, Bryson Jennings, Aaron Jennings, Jennifer McLain, Dana McLain, Mark Etheridge, Kristen Etheridge.
Funeral services were held at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Gooden and Pastor Matt Anzavino officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Roger Eugene Morgan
Roger Eugene Morgan, 66, of King died January 13 at J.R. Jones Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1940, in Forsyth County to the late John H. and Lela Mae Harding Morgan. He was retired from Wilson Pest Control and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his son, James Drew Morgan and wife Zenaida of Tobaccoville; his grandson, Caleb James Morgan and wife Abigal Marie; his sisters, Ann Buie and husband Wayne of Tobaccoville, Jane Dahlke of Arkansas, and Pat Montgomery and husband Charles of Tobaccoville; and his brothers, James Morgan and wife Wanda of Winston-Salem, Ronald Morgan and wife Jane of Clemmons and Billy Joe Morgan and wife Brenda of King.
Funeral services were held at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel of Pilot Mountain with Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial followed at Old Friends Union Cemetery.

Jackie Carlton Blackburn
Jackie Carlton Blackburn, 71, of Fleetwood died January 17 while visiting in Florida. He was born April 6, 1935, to Spencer and Doris Blackburn. He worked 30 years as a process engineer for Sprague Electric Co. after which he owned and operated Blue Ridge Cable TV and worked the family farm he cherished since childhood. He was a man of many passions including service to his community. His love of flying led to his appointment as the initial chairman of the Ashe County Airport Authority. He was honored to serve the last 14 years as a member of the board of directors of BREMCO. Other boards he served on included the Tarheel Electric Membership Association, Yadkin Valley Bank, Ashe County Farm Bureau, Ashe County Group Homes, Ashe County Library, Ashe County Little Theater and the Ashe County Arts Center. In his free time he enjoyed NASCAR, automobiles and vintage country music. He was a member and an elder of Mount Jefferson Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife Gail of the home, his daughter, Sherry Edwards and husband Roger and their son, Jason, all of Lewisville; sisters Jeanne Smith and Ann Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; many nieces, cousins and in-laws; and his most frequent travel partner, his nephew, John Watts.
Funeral services were held at Mount Jefferson Presbyterian Church.

Glenda Anderson Gardner
Glenda Anderson Gardner, 54, of Pfafftown died January 14 at Forsyth Medical Center. She had been battling colon cancer since 2002. She was born January 28, 1952, in North Wilkesboro, to Russell M. and Vivian Nadine Anderson. She retired from US Airways in 2003 and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bronda Lee Anderson.
Surviving are her husband, Nathan Gardner of the home; sons, Jason Gardner and Adam Gardner, both of the home; her father and mother, Russell McKinley Anderson and Vivian Nadine Anderson; her brother, R.J. Anderson and wife Robin of King; nieces and nephews, Brian Davila and Cody Davila of San Antonio, Texas, Stephanie Morgan of Clemmons, and Erin Anderson of King; and her cat, Clarence.
Funeral services were held at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel of Pilot Mountain with Gene Woolard officiating.

Lois Murphy Warfel
Lois Murphy Warfel, 71, of Winston-Salem died January 15. She was born June 8, 1935, in Galax, Va., to Edward C. and Mallie J. Murphy. She was a resident of Toledo, Ohio for many years before returning to Winston-Salem in 1986. She worked for Owens-Illinois in Ohio and retired from Wachovia Mortgage in Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ralph Murphy and Ray Jackson Murphy; and her sisters, Virtue Tyner, Edna Robinson and Euna Lee Ward.
Surviving are a daughter, Amy W. Cornelius and husband Charles of Clemmons; a son, Clark E. Warfel and wife Jennifer of Northwood, Ohio; two grandchildren, Wade Lucas Cornelius of Clemmons and Nathaniel Martin Warfel of Northwood, Ohio; her sisters, Margaret Weatherman of Cedartown, Ga., Doris Barrow and husband Bill of Winston-Salem, and Charlotte Rosebrook and husband Jim of Athens Ga.; her brothers, Rex Murphy and wife Dewilla of Clemmons and Robert Murphy and wife Carol of Sparta; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Father Brian Cook officiating.

Jean Leazer Goslen
Jean Leazer Goslen, 80, of Pfafftown died January 15 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1926, in Forsyth County to the late Cloe S. Leazer Sr. and Beulah Villaponto Leazer. She lived most of her life in Forsyth County and was a member of Old Town Presbyterian Church and an artist.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathy White Riddleberger and husband Rev. Raymond W. Riddleberger of Covington, Va.; stepson Jesse Goslen of Raleigh; and her three pets, Gizmo, Jake and Prissy.
Funeral services were held at Pfafftown Christian Church with Dr. Tom Everton officiating. Burial followed in Pfafftown Cemetery.

Mary Margaret McCormick
Mary Margaret McCormick Paul, 93, of Laurinburg died January 19 at Morrison Manor. Born September 11, 1913, in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Will A. and Mary Hasty McCormick. She was a member of Caledonia Methodist Church, where she played the piano for a number of years. She worked for a few years in retail clothing but the majority of her life was spent as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H. Paul; and a son, William K. Paul.
Surviving are three sons, John F. Paul and wife Barbara of Clemmons, T. Archie Paul and wife Mary Alice of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Robert Paul and wife Gina of Laurinburg; a daughter, Ethel Marie Bath and husband Joe of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a sister, Florence Bannerman of Laurinburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Caledonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Dalma Cribb officiating. Burial followed in McCormick Family Cemetery.

Lillian Ingram Lawson
Lillian Ingram Lawson, 88, of King died January 21 at Village Care of King. She was born January 4, 1919, in Forsyth County to James David and Maggie Stilley Ingram. She was very involved with the Senior Citizens Band in King and enjoyed sharing her musical talents with everyone. She retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in King. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Issac “Ike” Lawson, in 1974.
Surviving are two sons, Lenwood Lawson and wife Peggy and David Lawson, both of King; four grandchildren, Kevin Lawson, Debbie Mabe and husband Tony, Denise Calloway and husband Ronnie and Allison Cardwell and husband Greg; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Belle McGee of Clemmons.
Funeral services were held at Slate Funeral Home in King with Rev. Fred Barton officiating. Burial followed in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.

Michael Royal Holcomb
Michael Royal Holcomb, 58, of Clemmons and Little River, SC, died January 27. He was born January 10, 1949, in Christiansburg, Va. He served in the United States Air Force USAF and earned N.C. plumbing license No. 7156-P. He was a member of the Advance Masonic Lodge No. 710 and Centenary United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Bill and Maggie Estelle Royal Holcomb; siblings Nick, Merle, Novella and Joe; and a stepmother, Pernie Holcomb.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Weavil Holcomb; two sons, Michael Cain and wife Krista and Marc Christopher and wife Chandra, all of Advance; grandchildren Delany, Jacob, Quinn, Jack and John Tanner; and Lauren and Alex.
A memorial service was held at Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Skinner and Rev. Bob Nations officiating.

John Robert Jones
John Robert Jones, 86, died January 22 at Britthaven of Kernersville. He was born August 18, 1920, in Davie County to the late Franklin Oliver and Mollie Smith Jones. He retired from Pilot Life Insurance Co. with 35 years of service. He was a member of Linville Forest Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his two wives, Catherine Louise Sorrell and Nannie Sue Priddy; two brothers; and a sister.
Surviving are a daughter, Judith Hester and husband Larry of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Suzanne Hudson and husband Roger of Apex, Brad Hester and wife Nickye of Lewisville and Leslie Krampans and husband Mike of Kernersville; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel White of Winston-Salem; a nephew, Richard White and wife Bonnie; and a niece, Mary Ann Holland and husband Horace.
Funeral services were held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Minister Tony Tarole officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

Clinton Campbell
Clinton Campbell, 67, died January 21 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on July 16, 1939, in Winston-Salem to Birdie Lee Campbell. He was employed at Reynolds America and retired from Parker’s Used Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wyvonnie, and his brother, Donald Campbell.
Surviving are his mother; two brothers, Leon and Broadus Campbell; and his sister, Dorothy Graham, all of Winston-Salem; his four children, Janice Moore of Clemmons, Clinton Campbell and wife Joanne, Sandra Campbell and Audrey Evans and husband Chris of Winston-Salem; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Russell Funeral Home with Bishop Johnny Ray Stowe officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Wilhelmina Ogburn Wilkinson
Wilhelmina Ogburn Wilkinson, 90, of Winston-Salem died January 22 at The Oaks at Forsyth. She was born August 27, 1916, in Forsyth County to Clyde Franklin and Mahala Hester Ogburn. She was a member of Fairview Moravian Church. She married Jewell Ross Wilkinson on November 24, 1937. She and her husband owned and operated Wilkinson Florist in Winston-Salem for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Mildred Biven Cummings and Elaine Flynt.
Surviving are her daughter, Judy Wilkinson Everhart and husband Frank of Lexington; her son, Donald Ross Wilkinson and wife Barbara of Clemmons; four grandchildren, Ben Everhart and wife Gina, Diane E. Murphy and husband Steve, Brandon Wilkinson and wife Susan, Trent Wilkinson and wife Amy; four great-grandchildren, Eryn Murphy, Zachary Murphy, Jacob Wilkinson and Carter Wilkinson; a sister, Martha Sue Swain and husband Clarence of Kernersville; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Wilkinson of Winston-Salem and Dorothy Payne of Norfolk, Va.
A graveside service was held at Salem Moravian Graveyard with Rev. Riddick Weber officiating.
