SHELBY — Mr. Ralph J. Thomas, of 513 Waddell St., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Hospice at Wendover.

‘Henry’ Edwards
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Mr. Willard “Henry” J. Edwards, 62, of 306 Niagara St., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, R.I. He was the husband of Linda (Gidney) Edwards.
Born in Boiling Springs, he was a son of the late Zay Dock and Mary Louis (Eaves) Edwards. He was a resident of the town for 38 years. Henry was employed by General Electric for 23 years until retirement in 1999. He also worked for Cohoes (Garden City, R.I., and Cranston, R.I.) for the past three years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Edwards.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Keith Edwards of Providence, and Brian Rich of Chicago; three brothers, Charles Edwards of Kingstown, Richard Edwards of Shelby and Jerry Edwards of Boiling Springs, eight sisters, Dorothy Martin, Emily Rice, Mary Sims, Evelyn, Janet and Linda Edwards, all of Boiling Springs, Margaret Freeman of Kingstown and Julia Lyles of Shelby; and five grandsons.
The funeral will be today at 10 am at Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public St., Providence. Viewing is at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Cranston.

FOREST CITY — Mr. William Boyce Wilkerson, 82, of 469 S. Church St., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Hospice House of Forest City.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Florence Baptist Church, with Dr. Bobby Gantt and the Rev. Mike Elgin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church two hours before the service.

RUTHERFORDTON — Mr. Rucker Loyd Bradley, 78, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, in Rutherfordton.
The funeral is today at 6 p.m. at the Bible Tabernacle in Ruth, with the Revs. Dan Daisley and Joe Greene officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church two hours before the service.

MILLSPRING — Mrs. Maggie M. Gray, of Pea Ridge Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Autumn Care, Saluda.

Blanche Warlick
BELWOOD — Mrs. Blanche Elizabeth Peeler Warlick, 85, of 322 Eastridge Drive, Lawndale, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Born in Cleveland County on October 28, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Summey Alfred Andrew Peeler and Mattie Dixon Stamey Peeler. Mrs. Warlick loved her Lord, her family and her community, always serving anyone in need. Someone with that much love could not keep it inside. She was a 1942 graduate of Asheville Normal Teacher’s College and was a retired teacher, having taught at Prospect High School in Union County, Jacksonville Beach Elementary in Florida, Belwood High School and Casar Elementary. She was an active member of Norman’s Grove Baptist Church where she served with the Baptist Women, the choir and the tape ministry and was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. Other organizations she was actively involved with included the Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority’s Omicron Conclave Chapter, the alumni of Asheville Normal Teacher’s College and the Adult Care Home Advisory Committee of Cleveland County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Dixon; two brothers, Tom Peeler and Harry Peeler; and a sister, Dot Branton.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Decator Warlick; two daughters, Sheila London of Monroe and Susan Jolley and husband, Mark, of Belwood; son-in-law, Ralph Dixon Jr. and wife, Myra, of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Dr. Bud Peeler of Maiden and Bill Peeler of Bahama; sister, Rosemary Gardner of Shelby; six grandchildren, Chris Dixon and wife, Farrah, Seth London and wife, Sarah, Heather Dixon Burris, Rob London and wife, Karla, James Jolley and Sarah Jolley; and two great-grandsons, Cam Dixon and Andrew London.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Norman’s Grove Baptist Church, with Dr. Bryan Johnson and the Rev. Cecil Buff officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.

FOREST CITY — Mr. Bobby Gene Wells, 69, of 165 T. C. Trail, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Autumn Care of Forest City.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Rohn officiating.

KINGS MOUNTAIN — Ms. Donna Ann Fitch, 47, of 126 Ferguson Dr., died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

GROVER — Mrs. Beth Krieger Payne, 27, of 118 Grace Lane, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Kings Mountain.
She was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and was a former employee of North Shelby School and Wal-Mart, and an employee of HarvestWorks, Shelby. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Aloysius Joseph Krieger Sr.
She is survived by husband, Robert Calvin “Robbie” Payne of Grover; parents, Al and Mary Shields Krieger of Kings Mountain; son, Isaiah Robert “Bubba” Krieger of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Lorin Elizabeth and Gabrielle Magdalene “Gabby” Krieger, both of Kings Mountain; paternal grandparent, Clara Whatley Swann of Jacksonville; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Rose Rogers Shields of Jacksonville; brother, Aloysius Joseph “Trey” Krieger III of Kings Mountain; sister, Christina Rose Drake and husband, James Allen, of Grover; two nieces, Katie Krieger and Ashlee Drake, both of Grover; and a nephew, Christian Drake of Grover.
The graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, with the Revs. Roy Vining and Richard Shields officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.

SHELBY — Ralph James Thomas, 52, of 513 Wardell St., departed this life Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Hospice of Cleveland County.
A native of Cleveland County, he was born Nov. 9, 1953, to the late Ralph B. and Eunice Baxter Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Carrie T. Battle and Eunice V. Thomas.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving wife, Margie Davis Thomas; one son, James Lamonte Thomas; two daughter, Jessica Thomas and Crystal Logan; three grandchildren, Alenzia, Dominque and Isaiah Thomas all of Lawndale; four sisters, Loretta Brewton, Mattie Moore, Evangelist Mae Elmore (Charles) and Carolyn Haynes (Ronald) all of Shelby; two sisters-in-law, Mary Davis and Margaret Phillips; one brother-in-law, Fredrick Parks all of Shelby and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m at Genesis Chapel with Pastor Robert L. Dover officiating.
