BOSTIC — Mrs. Louise Sally Jolley, 90, of 149 Fairhaven Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Fair Haven Nursing Center.

‘Bill’ Shope
SHELBY — Mr. Wilbur “Bill” Lynn Shope, 78, of 216 Fairway Drive, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shelby Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Sally Borders
SHELBY — Mrs. Sally Mae Katherine Walls Borders, 54, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Walls Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Nathaniel Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday an hour before the service at the church and at other times at 1648 Friendship Road, Shelby.

Everett Cabiness
SHELBY — Mr. Everett Hoyle Cabiness, 93, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he served as a tech sergeant in the Army. He retired in 1977 as owner and operator of Gulf Service Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Paul Wilson Sunday School Class, Keenager Club, American Legion and D.A.V.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ledford Cabiness; parents, Robert Flaye and Minnie Yarborough Cabiness; sisters, Aileen Kendrick, Euzelia Irvin and Erie Williams; and brothers, Dewey Cabiness and Edwin Cabiness.
Two sisters survive him, Margaret McSwain of Shelby and Ocie Gold of Cherryville.
The funeral will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tony Tench officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family will receive visitors in the Ladies Parlor at the church one hour before the service.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Paul Bostic
SHELBY — Mr. Paul Louis (Rusty) Bostic, 70, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was employed by PPG Industries FiberGlass Division and was a member of Eskridge Grove Baptist Church. He was known for his many talents.
He is survived by four sons, Paul Bostic Jr., Ricky Bostic and wife, Mary, Marshall Ratchford and wife, Penny, of Shelby, and James Huskey and wife, Sherita, of Gainesville, Ga.; four brothers, J.W. Bostic and wife, Juanita, of Philadelphia, Bobby Bostic and wife, Patsy, of Charlotte, Charles Bostic and wife, Mary, of Tampa, Fla., and Walter Bostic and wife, Teresa, of Shelby; four sisters, Minister Geraldine Spikes of Pawnee, Okla., Betty Nance, Gladys Nelson and Lois Howell and husband, Wayne, all of Shelby; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Eskridge Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Strickland Maddox officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

SHELBY — Mrs. Bonnie Hamrick, 53, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

UNION MILLS — Mrs. Lonie Payne, 97, of 610 Ferguson Ridge Road, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at home.

Ella Johnson
SHELBY — Mrs. Ella Mae “Granny” Ramseur Johnson, 86, formerly of Shelby, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at the Crozer Burn Center in Chester, Pa.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late Will Ramseur Sr. and Kizzie Patterson Ramseur.
In addition to her parents, a brother, Will Ramseur Jr.; and a special friend, Eddie Sanders, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Bettye Lockhart (Wilson) of Pleasantville, N.J.; one god-daughter, Grace George of Atlantic City; four grandchildren, Mary Williams and Spencer Milline of Shelby, Shaheed Rex of Pleasantville and Durriyyah Atiyah-Abdullah (Curtis) of Somers Point, N.J.; two great-grandsons, Kareem Ellerbee Sr. and Warren Ellerbee, both of Pleasantville; four god-granddaughters, Cassandra Montaque, Mona Toulson, April Rease and Monica Fisher, all of Atlantic City; six great-great-grandchildren, Murad Ellerbee of Atlantic City, Kareemah Ellerbee, Nahbirrah Ellerbee, Tenerah Ellerbee and Kareem Ellerbee Jr. of Pleasantville and Atiyah-Battye of Shelby; special friends, Earlene Akridge, Golden Milline, Ida McClain and David Thurman, all of Shelby; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Johnson loved to travel and being on the go and enjoyed many trips with her daughter. She also enjoyed shopping, playing the slot machines and eating fried chicken. “Granny,” as she was affectionately known, loved all her grandchildren and shared a special bond with her great-granddaughter, Atiyah “Tee Tee.” Her favorite color was green.
She was a former member of Waddell Chapel AME Zion Church and Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Shelby. She later was affiliated with Second Baptist of Pleasantville in Atlantic City.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel, with Dr. S.A. Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns.
The family will receive friends at Enloe Mortuary one hour before the service and at other times at 216 W. Shannonhouse St.
James Blanton
SHELBY — Mr. James Quinton Blanton, 86, of 142 Larkabit Lane, Ellenboro, and formerly of 5032 Pecan Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Keith Dixon and Ernie Blanton officiating. Interment will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

FOREST CITY — Mr. Tom Dan Hallman, 67, of 145 Chime Lane, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at Hospice House.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Marty Ramey officiating. Interment will follow at North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 to 6 p.m..

CLIFFSIDE — Mrs. Margie Frye Price, 85, of 2265 Ferry Road, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at Hill Crest Rest Home in Forest City.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Chad Jones and Joe Kanipe officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.

LINCOLNTON — Mr. Jose Castellanos Arreolas, 38, of 3214 Gates Road, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral is tonight at 6 at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church, with Father Jose Juya officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Cumuatillo, Michoaca, Mexico.

FOREST CITY — Mrs. Eva Champion Toms, 88, of 493 S. Church St., died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at Rosecrest Retirement Community in Inman, S.C.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Forest City, with Dr. Barry K. Keys officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Patricia Albea
SHELBY — Mrs. Patricia Ann Albea, 63, of 2736 Louise Drive, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at home.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Martha Sisk Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Louis Gaston Albea Jr., and a daughter, Sandra Dee Albea, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel Albea and wife, Jennifer, and Larry Albea, all of Shelby; three daughters Marie Wesson and husband, Neal, of Shelby, Donna Jones and husband, Ray, of Forest City and Lynn Meredith and husband, Chester, of Bainbridge, Ga.; two brothers, Johnny Williams of Hollis and Charles Williams of Grover; four sisters, Fay Williams, Martha Melton, Glenda Melton and Cynthia Davis, all of Shelby; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Lutz-Austell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Allan Sailors officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
