The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Billy Lowe officiating.
Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.

SHELBY — Mrs. Rachel Weaver, 87, of Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, formerly of Kings Mountain, died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Cleveland Pines in Shelby.

BOSTIC — Mrs. Lillian Greene Ellis, 84, of 200 Wells Mill Road, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at Morganton Long Term Care in Morganton.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church, with the Revs. Frank Hoyle and Jim King officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.

Girlia Beheler
RUTHERFORDTON — Mrs. Girlia Wilson Beheler, 95, of 160 Grays Creek Road, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at Henderson Care Center.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Revs. Michael Sepaugh, John Godfrey, Steve Hardin and William Swink officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight at Crowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9.

SHELBY — Mr. Andrew Borders, 89, died Monday, April 5, 2004, at White Oak Manor Rest Home in Shelby.

SHELBY — Mrs. Jessie Mae Alston, 72, of 1509 Williamson Road, died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.

Walter Randle
SHELBY — Mr. Walter Franklin Randle, 77, of 934 W. Warren St., died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.
Born May 3, 1926, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late John Clyde Randle and Lizzie Lee Herndon Randle. He retired from Doran Mill and was a member of Christ the King Church. He also served in the Navy during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Church Randle; a stepson, Gene Tessneer; a sister, Elizabeth R. Clay; and a brother, Howard Randle.
He is survived by two stepsons and their wives, “Jerry” and Edna Tessneer and Gary and Patricia Tessneer, all of Shelby; a stepdaughter and her husband, Jane and B.D. Morrow of Shelby; a stepdaughter-in-law, Faye Tessneer of Grover; sisters, Virginia R. Coon of Charlotte, Geneva Randle of Kings Mountain and Ruth R. Clay of Pacific Grove, Calif.; grandchildren, Genia Doster, Sherry Vess, Lance Cpl. James Tessneer and Tonya Barbee; and a great-grandson, Braxton Barbee.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Christ the King Church, with the Rev. Father Vernon L. Moore and Rev. Deacon Frank Greene officiating.
Interment will be in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home from 6 to 8 and at other times at the home of Jane and B.D. Morrow, 1205 Wyanoke Ave., Shelby.

FOREST CITY — Mr. Samuel Perry Moore Jr., 77, of U.S. Highway 221-A, died Friday, April 2, 2004, at home.

CHERRYVILLE — Mrs. Vesta Louise Marriott Snowden, 93, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

James Fink
KINGS MOUNTAIN — Mr. James Fink, 69, of 218 Orr Terrace, died March 30, 2004, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church, Bessemer City. Burial will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes before the service.

‘Bill’ Lee
KANNAPOLIS — Mr. William Franklin “Bill” Lee, 69, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Northeast Medical Center, Concord.
Born May 6, 1934, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Yates Lee and Evelyn Daves Lee. He was a 1952 graduate of Appalachian State University. He played baseball at Appalachian State and played American Legion baseball in Shelby, competing on the State Championship team in the 1950s. He retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, and was a member of Polkville United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Army National Guard and Air Force Reserves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patty Petrea Lee; two brothers, Edward Lee and wife, Vera, of Shelby and Dale Lee and wife, Jan, of Raleigh; a sister, Lynn Lee-Eldridge and husband, Kevin, of Cary; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Steve Mowery officiating.
Interment will be in Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.

Donald Garver
CLOVER, S.C. — Mr. Donald Steve Garver, 61, of 1088 Bate Harvey Road, died Monday, March 20, 2004, at home.
Born June 20, 1942, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Ambrose Andrew Garver Sr. and Nishie Jeffries Garver. Mr. Garver an Army veteran, retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and owner of Garver Printing Company. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 208 of Clover and a Hejaz Shriner. Mr. Garver was an avid hunter, fisherman and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Peace, Marie Yount and Jackie Bagley.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. Garver of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lee Garver of Clover, S.C.; grandchildren, Morgan and Greyson Garver of Clover, S.C.; a brother, Junior Garver of Lawndale; and sisters, Evelyn Carter of Hickory, Frances Poston of Polkville, Pearl Bumgardner of Shelby and Barbara Mullaney of Charlotte.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Irvin Plowden Jr. and Rev. Paul Hutchison.
Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
