Malcolm Andrew Langley
July 9, 1958 – April 13, 2015
Malcolm “Mike” Andrew Langley, 56, of Rocky Mount passed away Monday. His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Todd Creech will officiate.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Mike had been an active member of the Sharpsburg Fire Department since 1991. He was the owner of Langley Tile Company. He was a hardworking man who loved to cook and fish. Mike was a wonderful husband, father, papa, brother and friend who never met a stranger. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Mike was proud of his oldest grandson, Nicholas Owens who is now serving his country as a Marine.
Mike is survived by his wife, Donna B. Langley of Rocky Mount; his daughters, Crystal Wall and husband, Brandon of Elm City, Nikki Langley and fiancé, Josh Manning of Rocky Mount and Donna Riggs and husband, Timothy of Elm City; his son, Aaron Langley of Rocky Mount; ten grandchildren; his sisters, Celia Edmondson, Diane Edmondson and Glenda Johnson all of Rocky Mount; his brother, Alvin Langley of Church Road, Virginia; his “Mema”, Brenda Riggs of Rocky Mount and his best friend, Melvin Edmondson of Rocky Mount.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Ernestine Jones Langley and his brother, Aaron Langley, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested in honor of Mike to the Sharpsburg Fire Department, PO Box 275, Sharpsburg, NC 27878.
Juan Carlos Padilla
June 26, 1973 – May 5, 2015
Juan Carlos Padilla, 41, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. His funeral service will be conducted 5 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Jamie Aranda will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home.
Carlos was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all that knew him. He was a family man who loved his family with all his heart. Carlos enjoyed grilling, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
Carlos is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Maria del Socorro Padilla of the home; his children, Luis Padilla, Katherine Padilla, Rachel Padilla, Faith Padilla and Hope Padilla all of Wilson; his parents, Fabian Padilla and Maria Reyes Padilla of Sims; his siblings, Gerry Padilla, Maria L. Padilla, Ericka Padilla Perez, Fabian F. Padilla, George Padilla and Jessica P. Smith all of Wilson County and Yolanda Padilla of Houston, Texas, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Joseph Larry Totten
September 27, 1937 – April 14, 2014
Joseph Larry Totten, 77, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. His graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday with Military Honors in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson.
Larry served his country honorably and faithfully with the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him. He will be sorely missed and thought of often.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda Poythress Totten of the home; his daughter, Katherine Totten of Wilson; his son, Brian Totten and wife, Melissa of Greensboro and his granddaughter, Mackenzie Totten of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian Darcy and Ruth Totten; his sister, Katherine Delores Totten and his brother, Ed Totten.

William Lendo Norris
March 15, 1944 – February 25, 2015
William “Bill” Lendo Norris, 70, of Middlesex passed away Wednesday. His funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Ed Toler will officiate.
The family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Bill was a loving husband, brother and friend that will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Diane Norris of the home; his sister, Brenda Wilder of Middlesex; his step-sisters and step-brothers; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Debra Lane Liles
January 5, 1955 – April 18, 2015
Debra Lane Liles, 60, of Wilson passed away Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Dr. Doug Murray will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson
Debra was a teacher for over twenty years in Wilson County Public Schools and a member of First Baptist Church. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Debra is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Logan Liles of the home; her daughter, Sarah L. Pittman and husband, David of Wilson; her son, Matthew Liles of Marietta, Georgia; her grandson, Jameson; her mother, Etheleen Lane of Pinetops and her sisters, Barbara Willer and husband, Raymond of Goldsboro and Kimberly Hays and husband, Scott of Pinetops;
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lane.

Deedie Davis
September 25, 1943 – March 20, 2015
Deedie Davis, 71, of Sims, passed away Friday. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Melvin Barnette and The Rev. John Howard will officiate. Graveside services will be private.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
Deedie is survived by her husband, Clemon Gary Davis, Jr of the home; her son David Davis and wife, Sandi of Wilson; daughter Lisa Billups of Wilson; her grandson Jordan Davis of Wilson; her granddaughters Hannah Davis of Wilson and Mikayla Billups of Wilson; her brothers Kenneth Sullivan and wife, Annette of Wilson and Freeman Jack Sullivan of Sims.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ashley Davis, Jr, her parents William Taft and wife, Flonnie Sullivan; and her brothers Arthur Sullivan, and Manuel Taft Sullivan.
Betty Joyce Finch
June 6, 1937 – April 20, 2015
Betty Joyce Finch, 77, of Spring Hope passed away Monday. Her funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Finch Family Cemetery, Hwy 97. The Rev. Butch Gordon will officiate.
The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Joyce is survived by her brother, John “Johnny” William Finch of Spring Hope; her nephew, John “Tony” A. Finch; two great nieces and two great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Cornelius Finch and Carrie Morgan Finch and in 2006, her sister, Helen Jean Finch.
