Kathleen Hewett Williamson
Southport - Mrs. Kathleen Hewett Williamson, 95 of Southport, died February 18, 2011 at Ocean Trail Nursing Center in Southport. Mrs. Williamson was born
April 27, 1915 in Brunswick County, daughter of the late Henry J. and Annie Mae Hewett. Mrs. Williamson was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Vander Ville Williamson who died in 1964, two brothers Sink Hewett and Norman Hewett; three sisters Dorothy McDowell, Lena Lee and Myrtle Jones; and a grandson Terry Williamson.
Surviving include her son McNeill Williamson; three daughters, Lois St. George, Betty Brown and husband John Doug Brown, and Loretta Mikuart all of Southport; a brother Ernest Hewett and wife Hilda of Tabor City; a sister Irene Suggs of Southport; eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, February 21, 2011 in the Southport Baptist Church Chapel. Reverend Jason Bland will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Northwood Cemetery. Ryan Chase Dilworth
Supply, NC - Ryan Chase Dilworth age 17 of Supply died Saturday April 21, 2012
Ryan was born
in Brunswick County on November 18, 1994. He was a Junior at West Brunswick High School and a member of the JROTC. He was employed at Main Street Restaurant and Boomer’s Rentals of Holden Beach.
He is survived by his parents, Frank and Renee Dilworth of the home; two sisters, Ashley Bennett Crocker and husband James of Supply, Megan LeAnn Dilworth, US Navy stationed in Mayport, Florida; grandparents, Gary and Roberta Grissett of Supply, Pamela Claridy of Little River, SC, Francis William Dilworth Jr. and wife Marie of Hatfield, PA., Maurice Galloway and wife Linda of Supply; great grandparents, Princess Robinson of Supply, George I. Hager of Lansdale, PA; aunts and uncles, Brandi, Jeremy, Hayley of Supply, Scott, Danielle, Jennifer, Zach, Tiffany, Jonathan of Lansdale, PA, Jamie, Erick, of Durhan, NC, Alan of Hillsboro, NC, Sabrina, Eric of Hope Mills, NC.; numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 27, 2012 at 3pm at Sharon United Methodist Church with Reverend Bobby Norton and Reverend Gerald Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in New Life Christian Fellowship Cemetery, Supply.
Pallbearers will be, Mike St. George, Chris “Beef” Benton, Bartley “Boomer” Boone, Corey Jones, Bryant Hogan, William Kelly Todd, Tyler Bradshaw, Michael Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin “A Boy” Robbins, Tyler Bizzel.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Sharon United Methodist Church and other times from the home of Gary and Roberta Grissett, 2308 Weeping Oak Rd., Supply

Gloria Siegel Durst Bender
Southport - Gloria Siegel Durst Bender, 86, of Southport, North Carolina, died peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Dosher Memorial Hospital.
Gloria was born
August 26, 1925 in the Bronx NY, the daughter of the late Morris and Dora Siegel. Her husband of 18 years, Abe Durst, her husband of 24 years, Bill Bender, and her sister Golda, also preceded her in death.
While Gloria lived in HillsdaleNJ, she worked as a bookkeeper at Otis Elevator, BVD, and Western Union. After retiring, she and her husband Bill traveled the U.S. in their 5th wheel trailer, finally settling in Palm Harbor, Florida. While Bill did his woodworking Gloria went back to work part time doing telephone surveys for the Nielsen Company. After Bill died Gloria moved to Top of the World in Clearwater, Florida until moving to St. James Plantation in Southport, North Carolina to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Bev (Durst Hunt) & Charlie Mastrovich. Gloria, always a people person, made the decision to move to Carillon Assisted Living inSouthport in 2009.
Gloria most enjoyed Mah Jongg with the ladies, going to the Sweepstakes, where she could play for hours on the same $20, Bingo, reading, and dining out as often as she could.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly Mastrovich and husband Charles of St. James Plantation, her son Mark Durst and wife Sherry of Park Ridge NJ, grandson Adam Durst ofFort LauderdaleFL, granddaughter Casey (Durst) Molitor and husband Tim of Collegeville PA and their new baby and her great grandson, Mason Alexander Molitor.
The family will hold a celebration of Gloria’s life at the Founders Club at St. James Plantation on Friday, April 27th, 2012 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Roy B. Clayton, Jr.
St. James - Roy B. Clayton, Jr. 75 of St. James died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Clayton was born
October 13, 1936 in Tryon, Georgia, the son of the late Roy B. Clayton Sr. and Bessie Clayton. He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, and was the former owner of Clayton Auto Air in Greensboro. Mr. Clayton lived in Greensboro for 30 years, and then lived in Carolina Trace in Sanford, and for the past six years in the St. James community of Southport.
Surviving are his fiancé Linda Logue of St. James, a daughter Kim Ison of Blufton, South Carolina, a brother Richard Clayton and wife Radine of Greensboro, and one grandson.
A memorial service will be held in Baltimore, Maryland at a later date.

Richard T. Innes
Boiling Spring Lakes - Richard T. Innes passed away suddenly on April 24, 2012. He was 74 years old and originally from New York but a resident of Boiling Spring Lakes since 1997.
Mr. Innes was preceded by his father John Innes, mother Elsie Kimmerle, brothers Guy and Robert Innes. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, April Innes; his daughter Lorraine Diottaviano and spouse Joseph of Boiling Spring Lakes; daughter Carrie Mew and spouse Dana of Paduka, Kentucky; sister Carol Marchais of Little River, SC; brother John W. Innes of Ocala, Florida; grandsons Joseph and Thomas Diottaviano, Dakota and Elijah Mew, granddaughters Shannon Mew, Misti Mew-Turk, and Melina Rome. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.
Richard’s favorite remark was, “They never made a decent movie since John Wayne.”
He was loved by his family and will be missed.

Shirley Mae Grainger
Southport - Shirley Mae Grainger, age 68, of Southport died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Dosher Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Grainger was born
November 4, 1943 in Richmond, Virginia, daughter of the late James Forest Grainger and Georgia Langford Grainger. She worked as a greeter for Southport Wal-Mart for many years before her declining health.
Survivors include her dear companion who loved her so very much, Jeremy Rivenbark of Southport; son James Linwood Potts of Sunrise, Florida; and one sister Joann Dix of Bracey, Virginia.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel in Southport with Reverend Leroy Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Michael James Waldron
Oak Island - Michael James Waldron, age 59, of Oak Island died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, Alabama.
Mr. Waldron was born
June 16, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Eleanor Stommel Waldron of Pennsylvania and the late James Joseph Waldron. He loved to personalize cars and motorcycles. Mr. Waldron had a passion for watching wildlife and had his own personal wildlife sanctuary. Mr. Waldron was a loving husband and friend. He was a kind gentle man with a big heart.
Survivors include his wife Lynn Waldron of Oak Island; his mother Eleanor Waldron of Pennsylvania; one brother Tommy Waldron and wife Peggy of New Jersey; four sisters, Eleanor Kellon and husband Andy of Pennsylvania, Rosemary Waldron of Wisconsin, Marie Waldron of Durham, North Carolina, and Annie Staskel-Woodworth and husband Rick of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews and his rescue dogs, Merlin, Allie, and Matilda.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
