Roberts, Ronnie `Roundman`
LANCASTER -- Mr. Ronnie `Roundman` Roberts, Sr., 46, of 2388 Sims Drive, died Tuesday evening, May 1, 2001 at Springs Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Roberts was born August 2, 1954 in Lancaster County, the son of Mrs. Vera Lee Boone Roberts and the late Mr. James Cletus Roberts, and was the husband of Mrs. Joyce Hanna Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a retired construction worker and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his mother, Mrs. Vera Lee Boone Roberts of Kershaw; his wife, Mrs. Joyce Hanna Roberts of the home; three sons, Mr. Michael Charles Roberts and Mr. Joshua Andrew Roberts, both of the home, and Mr. Ronnie Leon Roberts, Jr. of Lancaster; one daughter, Miss April Denise Roberts of the home; two brothers, Mr. James Otis Roberts and Mr. Grady Thomas Roberts, both of Kershaw; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Mae Gunn of Lancaster, and Mrs. Darlene Holden of Kershaw; and two grandchildren.
The graveside service for Mr. Roberts will be 1 pm Friday, May 4, 2001 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Reverend Clay Cordell, with burial to follow.
The family of Mr. Roberts will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday evening, May 3, 2001 at Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 310-B Bennett Center Drive, Greer, SC 29650.

Mrs. Jean Hoffman Corbin
GREAT FALLS -- Mrs. Jean Hoffman Corbin, 76, of 1 Bowden St. died April 29, 2001, at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Father Edward Meeks officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Edgemoor. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Corbin was born Jan. 27, 1925 in Rock Hill, daughter of the late Earl Dewey Hoffman and Bernice (Cook) Hoffman. She was former secretary to the President of the Bank of Great Falls, later to become First Citizens Bank. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church where she was very active in the Women Of The Church.
Mrs. Corbin was a graduate of Edgemoor High School and a graduate of Winthrop University.
Survivors include her husband, Philip L. Corbin; and son, Kenneth Corbin of Columbia.

JEFFERSON -- Mrs. Donna R. Smith, 40, of Jefferson, SC, died Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Union Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be today at 2:00 PM at North Union Church of God, with the Rev. John R. Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, T.Y. Smith; daughters, Shannon Kirk, Tina Smith, and Leann Smith; her mother, Rosa White Ritch; three sisters, and numerous other relatives.

KANNAPOLIS -- Dawson Hays Lemelin, age 2, died Saturday, May 5, 2001 at Lake Norman. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, with Dr. Todd Hobbie officiating.
Dawson was born July 2, 1998 in Concord, son of Greg and Meg Lemelin. Aside from his parents, he is survived by a sister, Kyndal Lemelin of the home; and grandparents, Alfred and Ann Hays of Winterhaven, Fla, and Dan and Sylvia Lemelin of Charlotte.

Parker, Tony Wayne
DALLAS -- Mr. Tony Wayne Parker, 46, of Glenn Nantz Road, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of Fred Wilson Parker and Inez May Tilley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Fred Parker.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Charles E. and Inez Tilley of Gastonia, NC; father and stepmother, Fred Wilson Parker and Pat of Dallas, NC; wife, Penny Ledford Parker of Wilmington, NC; daughters, Monica Nicole Clemmer of Gastonia, NC, Amanda Jo Parker and Brooke Michelle Parker, both of Kings Mountain, NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Starr Yang ad husband Jack of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren, Megan Nicole Parker and Heather Miriah Clemmer, both of Gastonia, NC.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at 11am at Gastonia Four Square Gospel Church with Rev. Virgil Lemmings officiating. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9pm at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.

Bullabaugh, Patricia Jane Sapp
CONCORD -- Patricia Jane Sapp Bullabaugh, 76, of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Concord, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in Atlanta. Graveside services were held on Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.
She was the daughter of the late Reginald P. Sapp and Ida Sides Sapp. She graduated Concord High School and attended Lenoir Rhyne College. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Bullabaugh, Jr.
Survivors include her son, John L. Bullabaugh III and his wife, Cassie, of Atlanta; a sister, Phyllis S. Whytsell of Greensboro; a brother, Donald F. Sapp of Stanley; two grandchildren, Grace and Jacob Bullabaugh, both of Atlanta; a nephew, John Whytsell of Hampton, VA; and three nieces, Ann W. Johnson of Raleigh, Ellen S. Johnson of Davidson, and Ruth S. Garfield of Arlington, VA.

Timmons, Lloyd Vernon
Mr. Lloyd Vernon Timmons, 69, of Charlotte, died Monday, April 30, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at First Baptist Church in Charlotte with Dr. Charles Page officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 4431 Old Monroe Road.
Mr. Timmons was born on February 28, 1932. He was a Navy Veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church and taught pre-school Sunday school for twenty years and was very active in his church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, his daughter, Kellie Wilson and her husband, Danny, of Columbia, SC, a brother, Marvin Timmons of Lancaster, SC, a granddaughter, Brooke Wilson, and many nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Pre-School Fund, 301 S. Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Whitt, Charles Robert
Charles Robert Whitt, Jr., 75, of Charlotte, died Sunday, April 29, 2001 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at McEwen funeral service, Derita Chapel with the Reverend Doctor Catherine M. Northrup officiating.
Mr. Whitt was born in Charlotte, June 26, 1925, a son of the late Charles Robert Whitt, Sr. and Carrie Anne Hall Whitt. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a medic and had retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Surviving are son Rick Whitt and wife, Samantha Whitt, of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Brandon, Taylor and Zachary Whitt; and great grandchildren, Gabriella Grassi and Alexis Crawford.

Abbey, Audrey
BRANDON, FL -- Audrey Abbey, 77, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2001. Born in Munson, FL., she was a lifetime resident and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Abbey and a son, Donnell Calhoun.
She is survived by five daughters, Katy Ballard of Charlotte, N.C., Betty McGlamery, Priscilla Reisinger and Deana Winders, all of Tampa, FL., and Diane Hoop of Naples, FL.; two sons, Jerry Calhoun of LA., and Johnny Rose of CA; two sisters, Mary Lynn of S.C., and Ester Wood of N.C.; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and step children.
Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family.
