Anderson, Yvonne Boyd
BELMONT - Mrs. Yvonne Boyd Anderson, 79, formerly of 305 Park Drive, died February 4, 2001 at Huntersville Oaks, Huntersville.
A native of Clover, SC, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Eunice Hagans Boyd, and the wife of the late Charles W. Anderson. She was a member of Holy Comforter Lutheran Church, and a homemaker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, C. Carey and Judy Auten Anderson of Belmont; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Rachel Boyd of Clover, SC; 3 grandchildren, Karyn B. Anderson, C. Ryan Anderson, and Mrs. Andrea A. Johnson; 2 great-grandchildren, Wesley Johnson and Justin Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Mike Varn at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to services (2:00-3:00 PM) in the church fellowship hall.

Beheler, Roger Eugene
BELMONT - Roger Eugene Beheler, 67, of 522 Julia Avenue, Belmont, died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Belmont, a son of the late Fred W. and Evelyn Jones Beheler. He was a barber. Mr. Beheler was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline. He was a US Navy, Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Grooms Beheler; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Lisa Beheler of Wilmington, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Ron Gaston of Belmont, NC; a brother, William Beheler of Whittier, CA; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Jean Glover of Cramerton, NC; 2 grandchildren, Alex Beheler and Abbey Gaston.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at Greenwood Cemetery, with Rev. Joe Lawing and Rev. Ron Gaston officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite.

Franklin, Michael Bruce
BESSEMER CITY - Michael Bruce Franklin, 54, of 502 West Gaston Avenue, Bessemer City, died February 4, 2001 at Lincoln Medical Center. He was a native of Gaston County. He was the owner of GEM Machining, member of First Baptist Church in Besssemer City and a retired Chief Master Sergeant of the US Air Force.
Survivors: wife, Joan R. Franklin; daughters and son-in-law, Renee and Scott Whitaker of Cherryville and Andrea "Andi" Franklin, of the home; parents, James R. Franklin, Sr. and Audrey Causby Franklin of Bessemer City; brother and sister-in-law, J. Robert and Rosie Franklin, Jr. of Charlotte; sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Russ Liachoff of Matthews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Bessemer City with Dr. Ron Pierce, Rev. Jerry Lumston, Rev. Dick Whitener and the US Air Force Chaplain officiating.
Interment: Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Bessemer City.

Baxter, Frances Leona
CHERRYVILLE - Frances Leona Baxter, age 73, of Carolina Care Cottages, 111 Harrilson Road, died February 4, 2001 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia, NC.
Funeral services will be held at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Wednesday, February 7, 2001 beginning 1 PM, with Rev. John Stein officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Tuesday, February 6, 2001 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Burial will be in Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cherryville, NC.
Ms. Baxter was a native of Lincoln Co., NC, born September 1, 1927, daughter of the late Ben Frank Baxter and Neva Hoyle Baxter. She was a retired Instructor with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church of Cherryville, NC.
Survivors include one nephew, Brent Baxter and wife, Lisa of Hickory, NC; two nieces, Annette Brown Eaker and husband, Blair Eaker of Cherryville, Amanda Baxter Carr and husband, Curtis Carr of Richmond, VA; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; brother, Larry Baxter and his wife, Phyllis of Cherryville; and sister, Norma Baxter Brown pf Cherryville.

Kee, James Donald `Cooter`
CHESTER - Mr. James Donald `Cooter` Kee, age 62, of 180-B Columbia Street, Chester, died February 4, 2001 at Intermedical Hospital of SC, Columbia, SC.
A graveside service will be held 3:00pm Wednesday February 7, 2001 at Union Cemetery in Richburg, SC with Rev. Joey Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Tuesday February 6, 2001 at the residence of the deceased.
Born April 15, 1938 in Lando, SC the son of the late William C. and Julia (Sims) Kee. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and Commerce Business College of Rock Hill, retired from the SC Department of Public Transportation and was a member of Parkwary Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Doris Knox Kee of Chester, SC; son, Jeffery W. Kee of Chester, SC; granddaughter, Angelina M. Kee of York, SC; two brothers, Marion Bo Kee of Richburg, SC and William H. Kee of Rock Hill, SC; and two sisters, Abbie Turner of Fort Lawn, SC and Eugenia Kee of Richburg, SC.

Walters, James Arthur
CHESTER - Mr. James Arthur Walters, age 70, of 4674 Brians Corner Road, died Saturday at Kings Mountain Hospital in Kings Mountain, NC.
Born March 1, 1931, in Chester County, he was a son of the late John Luther Walters and the late Lillie Deese Walters. He was retired from textile employment.
Surviving are his daughters, Sadie W. Dubose of North, SC and Elizabeth Lee of Jonesville, SC and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday from the Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Bob Murdock officiating.

Cook, Rebecca "Becky" O'Neal
FORT MILL - Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" O'Neal Cook, age 39, of 277 Francis Circle, Fort Mill, SC died February 4, 2001 in Fort Mill, SC.
A daughter of the late Augustus A. O'Neal and Evelyn Scruggs O'Neal, Mrs. Cook was born September 12, 1961. A native of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Cook was a graduate of Harding High School. She worked for Green Point Mortgage Company of Charlotte and was a member of Riverview Presbyterian Church of Fort Mill, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at Wolfe Funeral Home with the Dr. James McGill and Dr. Barry Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband, Terry W. Cook of Fort Mill, SC; a son, Terry W. Homan, Virginia Williams
FORT MILL - Virginia Williams Homan, age 79, died in her home at 305 Fairway Drive, Fort Mill, SC, on Saturday, February 3rd. She is survived by her husband, William H. Homan, Jr.; son, William N. Homan and his wife, Nancy Homan. She was preceded in death by daughter, Anne, son, Trey, daughter Kathi, and grandson, Tad. She was a graduate of Central High School, in Charlotte, Class of 1939, and was an alumni of Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, NC. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira W. "Doc" Williams of Charlotte.
She and her family first lived in Swedesboro, NJ, where she was involved in many civic affairs, and the activities of their church, Trinity "Old Swedes" Episcopal Church. They moved to Wheeling, WV and among other social activities, she became active in, and the Chairman of the Oglebay Institute Art Committee. She was also active in her church, The Lawrencefield Chapel. The family built a house in and retired to Hilton Head, where she was involved in various groups and activities of her church there. In more recent years they moved to Fort Mill to be near their son.
A bedside service for family members was held with the Rev. J.B. Hardaway presiding. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, 2 PM, February 6th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Pine Street, Fort Mill. Burial will be at the convenience of her family in the family plot in Swedesboro, NJ. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, to the local Hospice Community Care Inc. of Rock Hill, SC or to Trinity "Old Swedes" Episcopal Church, Kindgshighway, Swedesboro, NJ.

FT. MILL - Ms. Magdaline Page Withers, 73, of Ft. Mill, SC died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital.
Funeral is 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at Flint Hill Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Richard Coggins, Jackie Wayne Page, Jr., Scott Eller, Paul Fisher, III, Kenny Eller, Alan Coggins and John Withers, IV. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. today at McEwen funeral service, Pineville Chapel.
Mrs. Withers was born August 23, 1927 in Kimbrell, West Virginia and had retired from J.B. Ivey's.
Surviving are; sons, Jackie Page, of Kernersville, NC and John Withers, III, of Iron Station, NC, daughters, Jerri Coggins, of Rock Hill, SC, Nancy Eller and Sharyn fisher, both of Fort Mill, SC, 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Lingle, Lucille Sealey
GASTONIA - Mrs. Lucille Sealey Lingle, 89, of Gastonia, died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Wake County and formerly of Salisbury, NC. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Gastonia, retired from Cannon Mills in Salisbury with over 51 years of service and educated in the Rowan County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Sealey and Daisey Belle Milligan Sealey; husband, Spencer Lewis Lingle; brothers, Roy Sealey and William Sealey; sisters, Lily Canupp, Rosie Aby and Ruby Ladd.
Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn L. Adams of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren and wives, Dr. Randy S. and Janet Crane Adams of Taiwan, Rusty A. and Rhonda Adams of Raleigh, NC, Dr. Rick S. and Patricia Stanford Adams of Rocky Mount, NC; great-grandchildren, Nathan Adams, Joshua Adams and Isaac Adams of Taiwan, Dennis Adams and Justin Adams of Rocky Mount, NC; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2001 in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors in Gastonia, NC. Burial will be in Chestnut Hills Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2001 prior to the service.
