Mrs. Christa A. Brazell (Dated Friday, July 2, 1999)
Mrs. Christa Alma Brazell, 63, of Fayetteville died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Brazell was a member of Haymount Free Will Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Haymount Free Will Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Cape Fear Crematory.
Mrs. Brazell is survived by her husband, Ernest C. Brazell of Fayetteville; four daughters, Dina Jackmofsky of Fayetteville, Sassy Haynes of Anchorage, Alaska, Patricia Brazell of Eagle River, Alaska, and Charmaine B. Bacon of Grays Creek; two sons, Michael Jackmofsky of Boca Raton, Fla., and Thomas Jackmofsky of Fayetteville; and 17 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Haymount Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Eastwood Ave., Fayetteville.
Mrs. Felicia B. ‘Lisa’ Blue (Dated Friday, July 2, 1999)
ARLINGTON, Va. -- Mrs. Felicia Bowden ‘‘Lisa’’ Blue, 33, of Arlington, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Monday in Northern Virginia Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Turkey, N.C. Burial will be in the Bowden family cemetery in Magnolia, N.C. Arrangements are being handled by Rhodes Funeral Home of Warsaw, N.C.
Mrs. Blue is survived by her husband, Gabriel Blue of the home; a son, Kevin R. Thomas Jr. of the home; a daughter, Simone L. Thomas of the home; her mother and stepfather, Gladys S. and Elliott Stanley of Hope Mills, N.C.; a brother, Thomas A. Bowden Jr. of Baltimore; and a sister, Stephanie Johnson of Hope Mills.
The family will receive friends at the home of Rivers and Gladys Bowden, 9640 Turkey Highway, Turkey, and at the home of Gladys and Elliott Stanley, 644 Conners Cove, Hope Mills.
Clarence E. Baker (Dated Friday, July 2, 1999)
Clarence E. Baker, 61, of 316 Badger Court, Fayetteville, died June 25 in St. Agnes Hospice in Philadelphia.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Paye Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Elijah Fulcher. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Emma J. Baker of Fayetteville; three sons, Clarence D. Baker of Fayetteville, Reginald C. Baker of Goldsboro and Randall D. Baker of Chicago; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Louise M. Anderson (Dated Friday, July 2, 1999)
Mrs. Louise McDougald Anderson, 73, of 205 Wall St., Fayetteville, died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses by Brother Charlie Robinson. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by three daughters, Willie M. Williams of Bronx, N.Y., and Ada Brown and Mary Brown, both of Fayetteville; a son, Elizah Brown of Charlotte; a brother, Johnette McCullum of Rowland; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at Wiseman Mortuary.
Oscar L. Thompson (Dated Thursday, July 1, 1999)
BLADENBORO -- Oscar Long Thompson, 83, of 817 Sassafras Road died Tuesday in Elizabethtown Nursing Center.
Mr. Thompson was a veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Community Baptist Church by the Rev. James B. Hardee. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Lewis-Bowen Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson is survived by a son, Kenneth E. Thompson of Greensboro; two daughters, Carolyn Robeson and Linda T. Shelton, both of Bladenboro; a sister, Cora L. Clark of Bladenboro; and six grandchildren.
Ms. Thelma P. Tew (Dated Thursday, July 1, 1999)
CLINTON -- Ms. Thelma Leona Parsons Tew, 77, of 514 A Laurel Wood Apts. died Tuesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Tew was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Grove Park Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael Shook. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Pine Rest Cemetery in Robbins.
Ms. Tew is survived by three daughters, Bobbie Stringfellow of Elon College, Linda Addington of Chester, S.C., and Sue Underwood of Clinton; two sons, Robert L. Tew III of Robbins and Mark Tew of Bangberry, Tenn.; two sisters, Pete Hope and Kathleen Cannady, both of Clinton; four brothers, Jack Parsons and Charles Parsons, both of Clinton, W.J. Parsons of Durham and Franklin Parsons of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

SANFORD -- Calvin Lester Stockwell, 62, of 3811 Cox Mill Road died Tuesday in Central Carolina Hospital.

Mr. Stockwell is survived by four sons, Calvin K. Stockwell, John Stockwell, Mark Stockwell and Adam Stockwell, all of Fitchburg, Mass.; a daughter, Darlene of Fitchburg; his mother, Dorothy N. Stockwell of Fitchburg; a brother, Dean Stockwell of Sanford; two sisters, Jane Mailloux of Westminister, Mass., and Rebecca Goldsby of Greenville, N.H.; and two grandchildren.

CLARENDON -- Roy Alton Squires, 81, of Beaverdam Road died Wednesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Mr. Squires is survived by his wife, Nancy H. Squires of the home; a daughter, Sue S. Collins of Lake Waccamaw; a brother, Marvin P. Squires of Lake Waccamaw; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Sheriff of Maryland; his mother and stepfather, Naomi S. and James Hardin of the home; a half brother, Patrick A. Sheriff Jr. of Maryland; and a half sister, Nicole Sheriff of Maryland.

Hunt of Rowland and L.J. Hunt of Fairmont; five sisters, Vera Brady of Hawaii, Doris Hardin and Shirlean Hunt, both of Lumberton, and Ruby N. Barton and Jennie B. Mrs. Ossenfort is survived by a son, Douglas J. Ossenfort of Vero Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Carole A. Matthews of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Noble is survived by two brothers, Billy G. Noble and Woodrow B. Noble, both of Chadbourn; and a sister, Barbara A. White of Martinburg, W.Va.
