George Joseph Vnensak, 72, of 112 Hinsdale Ave., Fayetteville, died Monday in N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home.
A Mass will be celebrated at noon Wednesday in St. Michael’s Archangel Maronite Catholic Church by Father Jack Morrison. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
Mr. Vnensak is survived by two daughters, Shirley Malzone of Fayetteville and Georgeanne DiPadova of Seminole, Fla.; a sister, Dorothy McCormick of Port St. Richey, Fla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

COATS -- Bryant Allen Norris, 90, of 6920 N.C. 27 East died Sunday in Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.
Mr. Norris was a retired farmer and worked with tobacco warehouses. He was a member of Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rose & Graham Funeral Home chapel in Benson by the Revs. James Gurkins, Eddie Franks and Billy Smith. Burial will be in Red Hill Church cemetery.
Mr. Norris is survived by his wife, Mattie B. Norris; eight daughters, Louise Pollard of Coats, Kathleen Byrd of Garner, Ann Messler of Cary, Peggy Adams of Garner, Doris Dupree of Clayton, Brenda Johnson of Dunn, Helen Kirksey of Cary and Janet Stephenson of Coats; three sons, Billy Norris and Michael Norris, both of Coats, and Jerry Norris of Orange Park, Fla.; a sister, Lettie N. Moore of Coats; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Adam Black Jr., infant son of Amy Arrington and Adam Black, of 3738 Cedar Hill Drive, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham & Sons Mortuary.
In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by a brother, Elijah T. Black of the home; and his grandparents, Mark and Donna Arrington of Fayetteville.

BLADENBORO -- Marvin Hammond, 56, of 10867 N.C. 41 West died Saturday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Singletary Baptist Church in Robeson County by the Revs. Mitchel Nance, Adam Hammond and Glenn Richardson. Burial will be in Guyton Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Lewis-Bowen Funeral Home.
Mr. Hammond is survived by his wife, Margaret Hammond of the home; a daughter, Reginia Messing of Charleston, S.C.; a son, Rocky Hammond of Tabor City; three stepdaughters, Kim Spurling, Wendy DiCicco and Teresa Horton, all of Bladenboro; a stepson, William L. Deaver of Bladenboro; his father, George A. Hammond of Bladenboro; four sisters, Susie Rogers of Evergreen, Doris Horne of Lumberton, Ann Smith of Ammon and Sondra Guyton of Bladenboro; three brothers, Clyde Hammond of Hope Mills, Elton Hammond of Opoaka, Fla., and David Hammond of Lumberton; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

WEST END -- Joseph W. ‘‘Joby’’ Adams Jr., 44, of 175 Edgewater Drive died Sunday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Adams was a teacher for 20 years, including seven years at Aberdeen Middle School. He was a member of Grace Church. He was also a soccer coach.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Grace Church in Southern Pines by the Revs. Randy Thornton and Michael Fletcher. Burial will be in Pinebluff Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home of Seven Lakes.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Lynnette Adams of Seven Lakes; three sons, Joseph W. Adams III, David E. Adams and Michael C. Adams, all of Seven Lakes; a daughter, Madeline T. Adams of Seven Lakes; his father and stepmother, Joseph W. and Sue B. Adams Sr. of Seven Lakes; and a brother, Spencer E. Adams of Seven Lakes.

Mr. Huckabee was a member of Person Street United Methodist Church and Phoenix Lodge No. 8. He was an assistant tax collector and appraiser with the Cumberland County Tax Office for 25 years.
