Pastor William F. Alleyne, 65, of Fayetteville died Monday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Abney Chapel Seventh Day Adventist Church by Pastor G.R. Mitchell. Entombment will be in Rockfish Memorial Park.
Pastor Alleyne is survived by his wife, Bette Alleyne of Fayetteville; and two sisters, Marilyn Capers of Long Island, N.Y., and Adelaide Miller of Brooklyn, N.Y.

ROWLAND -- Tomas Cortez Alford Jr., infant son of Keisha Davis and Tomas C. Alford Sr., of Rowland died Friday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

MARSHVILLE -- Ervin Gordon Adcock, 64, of Marshville, formerly of Laurinburg, died Friday in Autumn Care Nursing Home.
Mr. Adcock was a manager of Buck Stanton’s Texaco and Exxon stations.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in McDougald Funeral Home & Crematorium chapel in Laurinburg by the Rev. Sandy Williams. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
Mr. Adcock is survived by a daughter, Terri A. Griffin of Marshville; a son, Harry Adcock of Laurinburg; and three grandchildren.

PROCTORVILLE -- Mrs. Gearldine H. Currie, 56, of 101 Skipper St. died Saturday.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in St. John AME Church in Fairmont by the Rev. Alexander David. Burial will be in Kirt Fields Cemetery in Orrum.
Mrs. Currie is survived by her husband, James M. Currie; two sons, Darrel Parker of Charleston, S.C., and Hermon ‘‘Bo’’ Upchurch of the home; her mother, Lizzie M. Hester of Proctorville; and two grandchildren.

CHAPEL HILL -- Joseph Leo McBennett, 84, of 222 Farmington Road, formerly of Fayetteville, died Saturday in UNC Hospitals.
Mr. McBennett was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of World War II. He was an Eagle Scout.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville by Father Jack Kelly. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 3 in Fayetteville.
Mr. McBennett is survived by a daughter, Teresa McBennett of Durham; a son, Larry McBennett of Raleigh; three sisters, Margurite McBennett of Fayetteville, Annette McBennett of Belmont and Mary A. McBennett of Hyattsville, Md.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Louise S. Jackson of the home; a son, Tim Jackson of Dunn; three daughters, Shirley J. Wiggins of White Lake, Peggy J. Huggins of Dunn and Sara Christofferson of Cary; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Cedar Grove Cemetery by the Rev. D.S. Stutts. Arrangements are being handled by Jackson Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents, Tomas is survived by a sister, Sadaria Paylor of the home; his maternal grandmother, Bobbie A. Davis of Rowland; his maternal grandfather, Reginald McCall of Rowland; his paternal grandparents, Pamela and Lee Campbell of Rowland; his maternal great-grandmothers, Maggie Davis and Arnetha McCall, both of Rowland; and his paternal great-grandparents, Winford and Annie Alford of Rowland.

Mr. Hilbourn was a truck driver before retiring.

ATLANTA -- Robert Lee Jones Sr., 76, of Atlanta, formerly of Laurel Hill, N.C., died Sunday in Rockdale County Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Livingston Chapel Baptist Church in Ghio, N.C., by the Rev. J.J. Covington. Burial with military honors will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Rufer H. Jones of Laurel Hill; five sons, Samuel Hickman of Chapel Hill, N.C., Jimmy Jones and Robert L. Jones Jr., both of Gaithersburg, Md., and State Representative Vernon Jones and Leroy Jones, both of Atlanta; a daughter, Sandra Jones of Atlanta; two sisters, Estella Jones of Washington, D.C., and Colene Quick of Laurel Hill; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
