LUMBERTON -- Glenn Locklear, 39, of 102 N. Rozier St. died Tuesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Fair Point Freewill Baptist Church by the Revs. Johnie Chavis and Eugene Chavis. Burial will be in Fair Point Church cemetery.
Mr. Locklear is survived by his mother, Annie H. Locklear of the home; four brothers, Carl Locklear Jr. of Rowland, James W. Locklear and Daniel Locklear, both of Lumberton, and Tracy Locklear of Fairmont; and three sisters, Rosie H. Locklear and Patricia A. Thomas, both of Lumberton, and Mary A. Locklear of Fairmont.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Funeral Services.
Jeremiah L. Smith (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998)
Jeremiah Lee Smith, 16, of 1104 Paddington Place, Fayetteville, died Monday in his home.
Jeremiah was a member of the National Honor Society at Seventy-First High School.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel by Pastor Morris Bernett. Burial will be in Fayetteville Memorial Gardens.
Jeremiah is survived by his parents, Joann K. and Gordon L. Smith, of Fayetteville; a half brother, Danny Goldman of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his paternal grandparents, Irma and Don Devault of Newark, Ohio.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Steven W. Dial (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998)
MAXTON -- Steven Wayne Dial, 18, of Route 2 died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
Mr. Dial was a student at Red Springs High School.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sanhill Baptist Church by the Revs. Larry Chavis and Tucker Dial. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Dial is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Lisa Dial of Maxton; four brothers, Christopher Crabtree of Laurinburg and Jamie Jones, Caleb Oxendine and Steve W. Dial, all of Maxton; two sisters, Michell Hunt of Columbus, Ohio, and Kahesha Hood of Maxton; his maternal grandparents, Dora D. and Billy Scott of Laurinburg; his maternal grandfather, Rosevelt Chavis of Maxton; and his paternal grandparents, Herbert and Nellie Crabtree of Gibson.
The family will receive friends tonight beginning at 7 at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Pembroke.

Mrs. Carol L. Stage, 81, of 1700 Pamalee Drive, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Highland House Nursing Home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Cumberland Memorial Gardens by Dr. James Brice. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stage is survived by a son, Curtis M. Stage of Fayetteville; and a grandchild.

Mrs. Gertrud Margarete Simenton, 69, of 686 Montclair Road, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in her home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home by the Rev. N.B. Hill Jr.
Mrs. Simenton is survived by her husband, Richard M. Simenton of Fayetteville; and a son, Karl H. Simenton of Fayetteville.

Mrs. Carol J. Bell of 302 Randolph Ave., Fayetteville, died Monday in Columbia Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bell was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. She worked for the Cumberland County school system.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Tyson. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her husband, Ronnie Bell of Fayetteville; three daughters, Rhonda Parker and Wanda Bell, both of Fayetteville, and Wendy Snider of High Point; her mother, Ruth J. Brown of Greensboro; three brothers, David Brown, Harold Brown and Bill Brown, all of Greensboro; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. White is survived by two nieces.

RED SPRINGS -- Mrs. Subillar Dial, 88, of 104 Northside Drive died Sunday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Dial is survived by seven sons, Gene Dial, Robert Dial and Grant Dial, all of Red Springs, Elisha Dial Jr. of Maxton, Claude Dial of Durham, Tommy Dial of Cary and Lavern Dial of Shannon; two daughters, Juanita England of Red Springs and Evelyn Pelletier of Jacksonville; 34 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild.

CLINTON -- Peter Owens, 62, of 585 Isaac Weeks Road died Tuesday in Harnett Manor Nursing Home in Lillington.

Mr. Owens is survived by two daughters, Janice Wilson of Clinton and Sharon Butler of Newburgh, N.Y.; two sons, Ronnie Hines and Isham Hines, both of Roseboro; a brother, George Owens of Roseboro; and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Allsbrook is survived by five sisters, Dorothy Doyle of the home, Emily McNeil of Greenville, Clara McIntyre of Maxton, Johnsie Jones of Long Island, N.Y., and Catherine Jackson of Freeport, N.Y.; and a brother, Charles Cook of Maxton.
