Williamson-Davidson wed in Reno

Mr. and Mrs. Brad and Bunny Williamson announce the marriage of their daughter, Denise Michele, on Nov. 24, 2001, to Jon Brett Davidson, son of Peggy Burtsfield of Bigfork and Larry Davidson of Stockton, Mo.

Denise and Brett are both graduates of Whitefish high school and Brett, a graduate of DeVry university in Phoenix, Ariz.

The bride is currently employed as a bartender at Dakota Jakes Saloon in Salinas, Calif., and the Groom is currently employed at Carbonic Services in San Jose, Calif.

The wedding took place in Reno, Nev., with all of both families and many good friends present.

The Matron of Honor was Kim King of Whitefish and the brides maids were Brenda Phillips of Bend, Ore., and Carol Frampton of Pacific Grove, Calif.

The best man was Mark Walters of Vancouver, Wash., and the groomsman were Derik Williamson and Steve Harris of Salinas.

The ring bearer was Jonah Williamson also of Salinas, and the flower girl was Katherine Walters of Vancouver, Wash.

Perkins-Meyer have summer wedding

Greg and Karen Perkins of Whitefish announce the marriage of their son, Steven Edward Perkins, to Sarah Elizabeth Meyer, daughter of Al and Julie Meyer of Owatonna, Minn., on Aug. 25, 2001, in Owatonna.

Matron of honor was Emily Anderson, sister of the bride.

Maid of honor was Elizabeth Meyer, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Kristie Turner, sister of the groom, and the bride's cousins Rachel and Maren Sansgaard.

Flower girl was Abriana Turner, niece of the groom.

Best man was Jason Thielman, friend of the groom.

Groomsmen were Jeff Turner, brother-in-law of the groom, Joshua Anderson, brother-in-law of the bride, Anthony DeGhetto and Joshua Post, friends of the groom.

In May, Steven will receive a master of divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn.

Sarah is the director of youth ministries at Prairie Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, Minn.

The couple resides in St. Paul, Minn.

Swope-MacKenzie joined in summer ceremony

Tamara Lynn Swope and Justin Stuart Mackenzie were married July 14, 2001, in an outdoor ceremony at Vista Linda Pavilion in Somers.

Parents of the couple are Bill and Diane Swope of Columbia Falls and Jim and Norma Mackenzie of Whitefish.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Darrell Newby with music performed by Sarah Brown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and attended by Traci Swope as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Katrina Werner, Kim Purdy, Alison Mackenzie and Angie Carlson.

Flower girls were Staci and Callie King and candlelighters were Erin and Sarah King.

Jon Mackenzie served as best man while Scott Mackenzie, Mickey Ogg, Todd Swope and Greg Klepper were groomsmen.

Ushers were Jason Forthofer, Justin Kaber and Vinnie Delgado.

Special guests were grandparents of the bride, Paul and Vivienne Buchhorn and Ina Swope, and grandparents of the groom, Dr. D.S. Mackenzie Jr. and Norman and Margie Gorder.

The newlyweds are living in Whitefish where the groom is a pharmacist at Haines Drug and the bride is finishing her degree in accounting.

Engagement

Nelson-Joos plan summer ceremony

Rick and Marilyn Nelson of Whitefish announce the engagement of their daughter, Mariah Leigh Nelson to Brain Joos, son of Brian and Irene Joos of Bethel Park, Pa.

Mariah, a 1997 graduate of Whitefish High School, will receive bachelor of arts degrees in philosophy and English/creative writing in December from the University of Montana in Missoula.

Brian graduated with high honors from University of Montana in May of 2001 with bachelor of arts degrees in Spanish and English/creative writing.

He is currently pursuing a master's degree in creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh.

The wedding will be on Aug. 11, 2002, in Bigfork.

The couple plans to reside in Pittsburgh.
