Ragen and Radke
Mr. Pat and Mrs. Sharon Ragen, both of Townsend, are pleased to announce the engagnement of their daughter Jessica Leigh Ragen to Joshua Radke, son of Jay and Michael Radke of Bozeman.
Grandparents of the couple are Verna and the late Charlie Adams of Townsend; Kathyrn and the late Charles Ragen of Bozeman; Earl and Karen Stene of Huntley Project; and Gordon and Doris Radke of Worden.
Ragen is a 2006 graduate of the University of Montana with a degree in elementary and special education. She is employed by the Hillsborough County School District in Tampa, Fla.
Mr. Radke is a 2003 graduate of Belmont University in Nashville with a degree in chemistry. He is employed by the University of South Florida and is pursuing his doctorate degree in molecular medicine.
The couple will marry July 28, 2010.
Middlemas and Hornsveld
Valerie Middlemas and Roy Hornsveld were married
June 20, 2009, at a friend's home in Townsend.
Maid of honor was Charity Krebs and best man was Warren Toombs.
Valerie is the daughter of Ray and Betty Horne of Townsend. She is employed by Broadwater County Clerk of District Court.
Roy is the son of Gerda Hornsveld of California. He is employed by Bert's Hardware.
The couple honeymooned in Virginia City and Chico Hot Springs. They reside in Townsend.
Shyne and Bovee
Daniel and Vicki Shyne of Bozeman are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle, to Christopher Bovee, son of William Bovee of Helena and Linda Clark of Miles City.
Danielle is a 2004 graduate of Bozeman High School and a 2008 graduate of The University of Montana. She is currently employed at the Governor's Office of Community Service.
Chris is a 2003 graduate of Helena High School and a 2008 graduate of The University of Montana. He is currently employed at C.U. Source.
A June 19, 2010, wedding date has been set.
Eaton and Semans
Together with their parents, Alysa Eaton and Dustin Semans announce their engagement and their upcoming wedding on March 6, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Montana.
Alysa Eaton is the daughter of Gary and Letty Eaton of Pocatello, Idaho. Alysa is a 1997 graduate of Capital High and a 2001 graduate of Carroll College. She works for the Montana Legislature as a programmeranalyst.
Dustin Semans is the son of Rich and Patsy Semans of East Helena. Dustin is a 2002 graduate of Helena High and a 2005 graduate of Helena College of Technology. He works for ITC, Information Technology Core, as a computer technician.
Belling and Frankforter
Rebecca Jean Belling and Ryan Scot Frankforter were joined in holy matrimony, Aug. 29, at the Kleffner Ranch east of Helena.
Officiating the ceremony was the newly distinguished Reverend Darren Sleiner.
Rachel Belling served as the maid of honor while DeeJay Poynter served as best man.
Groomsmen included Nathan, Dale, Richard and Gary Frankforter.
Bridesmaids included Sara MacDiarmid, Michelle and Jenifer Frankforter and Trish Rodgers.
Flower girl and ring bearer were the couple's individual children, Michael and Mikale and the wedding photographer was Leah Fortune.
Rebecca is the daughter of Alexis MacDiarmid and Jerome Belling, separately of Helena. Becky graduated from the U of M Helena with an AA degree in accounting. Rebecca works for the Department of Environmental Quality in the accounting department.
Ryan is the son of Richard (Jens) Frankforter and Rita Frankforter, separately of Helena. He graduated from Helena High School and works as a top salesperson at Lithia Motors Chrysler Jeep Dodge.
The couple will honeymoon in December in Seattle.
Fullertons celebrate 50th
Gerry and Theresa Fullerton recently celebrated 50 years of marriage by renewing their wedding vows at St. Steven's Catholic Church in Sun Lakes, Ariz.
Following that celebration, the Fullertons' sons and spouses, Gerry and Aileen Fullerton and Bob and Sandra Fullerton, hosted a brunch at the Holiday Inn and an open house at their residence that evening for family and friends.
The Fullertons were married
Oct. 3, 1959, in Anaconda, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The couple has six grandchildren: Timothy, Patrick, Katherine, Elizabeth, Kyle and Ryan.
The couple both worked at the Anaconda Washoe Smelter at the time of their marriage. In 1962, Gerry went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone in Helena, subsequently transferring to Cheyenne, Wyo., in 1971 and Riverton, Wyo., in 1974.
Gerry took early retirement from Mountain Bell in 1986. Theresa retired from the Riverton School District No. 25 in 1992. The couple moved to Sun Lakes, Ariz., in 1997 after being snowbirds for five years.
Clanins celebrate 50 years
Rachel Ann Perkins and Clayton Douglas Clanin were married
on Aug. 23, 1959, at The Church of Christ in Greeley, Colo.
Rachel was a Food Economist for Safeway Stores in Greeley, Colo. and a Mountain Bell Telephone Operator in Great Falls. She retired from the City of Great Falls accounts receivable department.
Clayton was in the U.S. Army with the Military Police in Albuquerque, N.M. He was a Industrial Arts Teacher in Roundup, Sheridan, Wyo. and Great Falls. He is a substitute teacher and a driver's education instructor in Great Falls.
They have two daughters, Colleen of Aurora, Colo., and Marcia (Don) Baulch of Houston.
They have two grandchildren, Madison and Connor Longust of Houston.
The couple celebrated at a gala dinner buffet and reception in the Panorama Room at the Great Falls International Airport.
Waldum and Lester
Megan Rebecca Waldum and Scott Shannon Lester were married
July 11 in Helena at the Elkhorn View Lodge near Montana City.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Beccy Waldum of Livingston. She graduated from high school in Livingston in 2002 and is currently a full-time student, completing her accounting degree and CPA designation at the University of Montana in Missoula. She is also a manager for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.
The groom is the son of Pat and Bill Davis of Helena and Charles Lester of Clancy. He is a 1996 graduate of Helena High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Montana. After several successful years in business in Kalispell and Missoula, he is now a full-time student in the University of Montana Graduate School of Business Administration and will graduate with his MBA in the spring of 2010.
The Rev. Jamie Martin officiated at the outdoor ceremony held against a scenic backdrop of boulders, trees and mountains. A reception, dinner and dance was held at the lodge after the ceremony. The newly married
couple spent their honeymoon in Florida.
COX AND VANDYKE
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cox of Sandpoint, Idaho, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Ann Cox, to Mr. Joshua Michael Van Dyke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Van Dyke of Helena. The couple will marry Feb. 20, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
The bride is a 2009 graduate from the University of Idaho and is a kindergarten teacher. The groom is a 2007 graduate from North Idaho College and is a police officer for the City of Sandpoint.
PELC AND GILFILLAN.
Bryson Pelc and Rachel Gilfillan were married
July 25, 2009, at the Kleffner Ranch by the Rev. Connie Sidebottom.
Their parents are Don and Shelly Pelc of Helena and Al and Lynne Gilfillan of Missoula.
Chelsea and Shelby Gilfillan, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor; and Brian and Brady Pelc, brothers of the groom, were best men.
Kelli Pelc, Chelsea Bond, Libby Steigers, John Barnett, Casey Crites and Jed Thomas were attendants, while Marcus Meyer, Bryan Camino and Chris Handshew ushered the guests. Amalee Schneider and Daniel Chilimidos were flower girl and ring bearer. Julie Ferda and Cyndi Steigers, aunts of the couple, were readers.
Bryson and Rachel met while attending Carroll College. Bryson earned his master of business administration degree at the University of Montana, is completing his CPA credentials and is currently employed as an accountant at Galusha, Higgins, Galusha.
Rachel is completing her master's degree in nutrition through the University of Alabama and is employed at St. Peter's Hospital. They enjoyed a honeymoon cruise in Mexico and live in Helena.
Iwens mark 50 years
A.F. “Bud” Iwen and Mary Helen Brownlee were married
on June 16, 1959, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wolf Point. Bud was attending Carroll College at the time and was also working at KXLJ Radio. Except for two years in Havre, they have lived in Helena since and their five children were born
and raised here. They also have eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Their children held a celebration on June 27 at the Elks Club with family and many surprise guests in attendance. Hosting the party were daughters, Helen Yuhas (Ward), Michelle Fields (Larry), Jackie Schmoldt (Randy), Suzy Harlen (Tom); and son, Ken Iwen (Tona). Also attending were their grandchildren, Danielle Cunningham, Kevin Harlen, Nicole Ness, Brent Harlen, Jacob Yuhas, Bryson Yuhas, Mackenzie Iwen and Michaela Iwen.
