Theopil L. "Tope" Ruff
MILDRED - Theopil L. "Tope" Ruff, 87 of Mildred passed away on Sunday, May 16, 1999, at the Fallon Medical Complex in Baker. He was born on Feb. 20, 1912, the son of Fredrick and Maria Gackle Ruff near Mildred. Tope grew up and attended country schools in Prairie County. As a young man he began working at the Ft. Peck Reservoir. Theopil was married to Helen Krueg in Plevna on June 6, 1937. After their marriage he began farming with his mother until 1939. They began leasing the Krueg farm which he later purchased. Tope and Helen lived and raised their family on this farm. After the death of Helen in 1981, Tope was married to Magdalena (Max) Reuther. They made their home in Terry. Tope continued to farm until 1985 when he retired. He especially enjoyed his farm and cattle. His special love was for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tope also enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Survivors include, three daughters: Vivian Pinnow and her husband, Arnold of Baker, Evelyn Huber and her husband, Jim of Killdeer, N.D., and Janice Ehret and her husband, Floyd of Plevna; two brothers, Harold Ruff and his wife, Florence of Yankton, S.D. and Arthur Ruff and his wife, Dorothy of Great Falls; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Helen and Max; an infant son, Lyle James and a sister, Edna Clement.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the Stevenson's Funeral Home in Baker. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, in the Emanuel Evangelical Free Church in Plevna with Pastor Byrd Stilwell officiating. Burial will be in the Community Union cemetery in Plevna. Stevenson's Funeral Home of Baker is in charge of the arrangements.

Matilda J. "Tillie" Bertoglio
RIDGEFIELD, Wash. - Matilda J. "Tillie" Bertoglio died May 16, 1999, in Ridgefield, Wash., at age 76 after a long illness. Mrs. Bertoglio was born April 23, 1923, in Red Lodge, Mont., to Frances and Michael Segota. She attended Red Lodge schools and graduated from Butte Business College and Elderkins Beauty School. She married John Goar Kelly Aug. 30, 1941. He passed away June 12, 1949. She married Henry D. Bertoglio Dec. 19, 1971, and he preceded her in death in February of this year. She was also preceded in death by sisters: Margaret Nistler, Madalyn Owens, and Mickey Vidic. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Carolyn Kelly of Ridgefield, Wash.; stepson and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jeri Bertoglio of Butte; stepson, Bruce Bertoglio of Missoula; brothers: John and Ted Segota of Red Lodge, and Dan Segota of Ennis; sister, Eva Nowlin of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At her request, no service will be held. The family request memorials be made to: Hospice Southwest, P.O. Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668 or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Cathy Jo Millington
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Cathy Jo Millington, 40, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, in a truck accident six miles south of Kemmerer.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 24, at the church with interment in Willow Grove cemetery.

Edward L. Daems
CODY, Wyo. - Edward L. Daems, 76, died Saturday, May 15, 1999, at West Park Hospital in Cody.
Cremation has take place. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody.

Courtnie Dawn Young
GLENDIVE - Courtnie Dawn Young, daughter of Peter and Kori Young of Glendive was stillborn on Saturday, May 15, 1999, at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Courtnie is survived by her parents, Peter and Kori (Purvis) Young: two sisters, Alex and Cassie and her brother, Cody all of Glendive; her grandparents, Jim and Arleen Young of Lindsay, Vern Pervis of Livingston, and Linda and Mike Dryden of Glendive.
Private family services were held on the family ranch in Lindsay, on Saturday, May 15, 1999. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Miles City was in charge of the arrangements.

Olga Jordan
MILES CITY - Olga Jordan, 91, died Friday, May 14, 1999, at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the First Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County cemetery in Miles City. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Miles City in charge of arrangements.

Brandon Red Boy
WOLF POINT - Brandon Red Boy, 20, died Friday, May 14, 1999, as the result of a car accident near Wolf Point.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, May 17, at the Brockton Cultural Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the Brockton Cultural Center. Interment will be in the Riverside cemetery near Brockton.

Lydia Roll
Lydia Roll, 91,of Billings passed away Friday, May 14, 1999, at St. Vincent Hospital of natural causes. She was born March 12, 1908, a daughter of John and Rose Brandner. She married Jerome Roll Nov. 29, 1930, in Mott, N.D., and raised a family of nine children. They farmed in the Mott area and then moved to Montana where they farmed in the Worden area until moving to Billings where she worked at the Billings and Rex Laundry. Lydia loved to play pinocle and bingo and care for her flowers and garden.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jerome; six sons, Eriven and wife Leona, Eugene, Joe and wife Shirley, Raymond and wife Karen, Leroy and wife Gloria, and Gary and wife Connie, all of Billings; two daughters, Violet and her husband Donald Daniels of Edmonds, Wash., and Lorraine and her husband David Mereness of Lake Stevens, Wash.; 32 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandson and granddaughter, one great-grandson, five brothers, and four sisters.
Vigil will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Cremation or Funeral Gallery, 8th St. W. and St. Johns. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at Little Flower Catholic Church with Rite of Committal at Holy Cross cemetery. Arrangements were made by Cremation or Funeral Gallery.

Jeanne Marilyn Tieman
OCEAN SHORES, Wash. - Jeanne Marilyn Tieman, 67, formerly of Billings and Miles City, Mont., died April 28, 1999, at home.
A memorial service was held in the Ocean Shores United Methodist Church with interment in Hoquiam's Sunset Memorial Park. Coleman Mortuary of Hoquiam was in charge.

Joseph Pesha Jr.
BEACH, N.D. - Joseph Pesha Jr., 86, of Beach, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in Dickinson.
Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 5, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home, and one hour before the services at the United Community Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Mary Jane Sorensen
SCOBEY - Mary Jane Sorensen, 77, of Scobey, died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, at the United Methodist Church with interment in the Scobey cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge.

Delpha Appel
GLENDIVE - Delpha Appel, 88, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care Facility.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Richey cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home is in charge.

Raymond Johnston
RANCHESTER, Wyo. - Raymond "Ray" Johnston, 68, of Ranchester, died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Champion Funeral Home with interment in the Elks cemetery, both in Sheridan.

Corrine M. Pence
CLEARMONT, Wyo. - Corrine M. "Corky" Pence, 75, died Thursday, May 13, 1999, after a long illness.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Buffalo is in charge.

Wallace S. Blue
GLASGOW - Wallace S. Blue, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at Valley View Nursing Home of natural causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the Bell Mortuary with interment in the Grandview cemetery in Saco.

Helen Jensen
GREAT FALLS - Helen Jensen, 79, formerly of Dagmar, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at Benefis East Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the former Emmaus Lutheran Church, southwest of Westby, with interment in Emmaus cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood is in charge.

Terry Lynn Feist
SPOKANE, Wash. - Terry Lynn Feist, 42, formerly of Miles City, Mont., died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at the Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Cremation has taken place. Private disposition was held in the Custer County cemetery. Bullis-Graves Eastern Montana Crematory and Bullis-Graves Memorial Chapel were in charge.

Clifton A. Lund
LEWISTOWN - Clifton A. Lund, 81, died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, at St. Leo's Catholic Church with interment in Mount Calvary cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge.

C. David Holesapple
LEWISTOWN - C. David Holesapple, 63, died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place and at his request no services will be held. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge.

Lester Earl Pasma Jr.
LEWISTOWN - Lester Earl Pasma Jr., 71, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at his sister's house of cancer.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at the First Presbyterian Church with interment in the Lewistown City cemetery. Creel Funeral Home is in charge.

Lillian R. Hertz
RONAN - Lillian R. Hertz, 78, died Friday, May 7, 1999, at her home after a long illness.
Visitation will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point and 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wolf Point with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, at the church with interment in the Oswego Presbyterian cemetery.

William L. Linn
CASPER, Wyo. - William L. Linn, 83, formerly of Sheridan, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at the Wyoming Medical Center.
Visitation will be 1-10 p.m. Friday, May 14, and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with interment in Willow Grove cemetery.
