CODY, Wyo. - Lyle D. Gillison, 86, of Cody, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at West Park Hospital in Cody.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in Ballard Funeral Home in Cody. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery, Cody.

Elizabeth 'Betty' Hensel
Elizabeth "Betty" Hensel, 79, of Billings, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 1998.
Betty was born March 4, 1919, to Conrad and Eva Fox at Laurel, Mont. Her parents both passed away by the time Betty was only 7 years of age. The rest of her childhood years, she was raised by her oldest brother George Fox and his wife, Molly. Betty was raised and attended school in Laurel, moving to Billings in 1941. The past four years she had been a resident of Eagle Cliff Nursing Home.
In her early years, Betty worked in the beet fields in the Laurel area. Later she worked for various grocery stores in Billings.
Betty enjoyed cooking and baking and most of all her family.
On Aug. 5, 1938, Betty married Gottlieb "Brownie" Hensel. From this union two daughters were born, Nancy Webster of Casper, Wyo., and Deborah (Mrs. Clyde Heyd) of Billings. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Mike Webster and Kelly Schiff both of Phoenix, Ariz., Lisa Hunt of Billings, and Mark Hunt of Alaska; and two great-granddaughters, Sebrina and Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her eldest grandson, Jeff, and all of her six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, Mont. 59107.

Enid Kelly
PORTLAND, Ore. - Enid Kelly, 85, of Portland, formerly of Lewistown, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, in Portland, of cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in the First Christian Church in Lewistown. Inurnment will be in the Lewistown City cemetery. Creel Funeral Home of Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.

Franklin Robert Natzel
TERRY - Franklin R. Natzel, 58, of Terry, died on Oct. 16, 1998, in the Glendive Hospital, due to heart failure.
Born on July 27, 1940, in Webster, S.D., he was the son of Kenneth D. and Violet (Jorgenson) Natzel. He moved with his family to Roundup in 1956 where he attended school. In 1962, Frank was married to Dorothy Davis. They had a son, Randie. In 1967, he married Kathleen O'Neil and together they had a son, Vincent.
Frank worked in the oil fields in Montana, and continued a family tradition working for the Milwaukee Railroad until the line shut down. He then took the position as manager of the Eagle's Lodge #176 in Billings. The highway and byways called to him and he bought his own 18-wheeler, driving until ill health forced him to retire.
Watching his young sons play little league baseball and later as young adults, play softball, was one of the highlights of Frank's life. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. Frank enjoyed being with his family, especially during reunions and celebrations.
He is survived by his sons, Randie and wife Juli, and Vincent and wife Kristi all of Billings; granddaughters, Maureen, Allison, Kathryn and Maddison; and several nieces and nephews. Other survivors include his father, Kenneth of Terry; brother, Larry and wife Linda of Tennessee; sisters, Ruth and husband Don Leske of Terry, Carol and husband Irvin Naasz of Harlowton, Mont., and Fran and husband Bill of Terry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet.
"We love you and will miss you!"
A Memorial Service will be at the Presbyterian Community Church in Terry, Mont., on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at 11 a.m. Should you choose, memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 2812 1st Ave. N., Suite 216, Billings, 59101.

Earl Osborne
Earl Osborne, 60, of Billings and longtime resident of Lewistown, passed away peacefully at his home after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myloma, surrounded by his family and friends.
Earl was born May 1, 1938, in Lewistown, the son of Bert and Marie Osborne. He married Jacquelyn Rhone on Aug. 10, 1957.
Early in life he worked construction. In 1968 he ventured into the trucking business and was still active in this upon the time of his death. He loved driving his truck and being on the open road. At the time of his death he was leased to Keller Transport.
His time with us will always be cherished with fond memories.
Survivors include his wife, Jaquelyn; three sons, Rich (Brenda) Osborne of Park City, Rob (Tina) Osborne of Billings, and Ron (Traci) Osborne of Marion; one daughter, Renna (Doug) Koth of Great Falls; 12 grandchildren, Toni, Teri and Kyle Osborne, Ryen and Tyler Osborne, Chandra, Kaylee, Mikala, Kade and Tanner Osborne and Andrew and Wyatt Koth; sister, Delores (Harvey) Robinson of Billings; brothers, Phil (Lila) Hickman of Rockvale, Idaho, Harold (Phyllis) Osborne of Billings; and his mother-in-law, Hazel Spencer of Billings; special cousin, Verlie (Bob) Meadors of Rapid City, S.D.; several nieces and nephews and his many friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bert; two sisters, Florence and Jean; and one daughter-in-law, Tana Osborne.

A Message To Dad:
You were a wonderful father in supporting us both physically and spiritually. We know you are in a better place and looking over all of us. You will always be in our hearts. Thank you for being our father, we love you.
At his request a cremation has taken place and no services are planned. There will be a gathering at Earl's home at 570 Revolution Ave., to celebrate his life, Sunday, Oct. 18, 1998, starting at 1 p.m.
Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist, Heights Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Ryan Paul 'Kona' Payne
WOLF POINT - Ryan Paul "Kona" Payne, 25, of Wolf Point, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, of a heart attack at Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point.
A Wake with Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in the Wolf Point Community Hall. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Clayton Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will be in the Oswego Presbyterian cemetery.

Alec Popp
Alec Popp, 88, of Billings, and longtime resident of Park City, was called to his heavenly home Oct. 16 at 4 p.m.
Alec was born Sept. 26, 1910, in Columbus, Mont., the son of Jacob and Mary Popp. Early in life he lived with his parents in Park City, Hysham, U-Cross and Ranchester, Wyo., and Billings.
On Nov. 20, 1938, he married Bertha Deines. They farmed west of Billings. He was known along with his brother, Herman, as the Sugar Beet Kings of the Great Western Sugar Company area for several years in a row.
In 1961, Alec and Bertha moved to their ranch in Park City, a place he often called "God's Country." Special joys he had besides farming and ranching were listening to his musical family, riding horses, giving his grandchildren candy and telling stories of his past. Anyone who knew Alec, knew he got his strength from God and the special love he had for his wife, Bertha and family.
Alec was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jacob and Herman; his sisters, Molly Wegner, Leoda and Amelia Popp, and granddaughter, Barbara Sue Icopini.
Alec is survived by his wife, Bertha; two sons, Alec (Marlene) and Robert (Diane); four daughters, Janice (William) Kramer, Nancy (Larry) Frank, Loretta (Dave) Frickel and Kathleen (Ray) Moran; 20 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward (Sarah) and Walter (Lola) and two sisters, Evelyn (Vic) Hergett and Lydia Wegner.
We love you, we'll miss you and may you now rest in peace.

Sharon Kalstrom Reilly
EKALAKA - Sharon Kalstrom Reilly, 52, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Ekalaka, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at the Grand Oaks Care Center in Lakewood, Colo.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in the Congregational Church in Ekalaka. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Ekalaka. Stevenson Funeral Home of Ekalaka is in charge of arrangements.

Carole E. (Neill) Walker
ASTORIA, Ore. - Carole passed away Oct. 10, 1998, in her home in Astoria, Ore. She was born May 3, 1935, in Astoria, Ore. Carole and Elbert (Bud) Neill raised their two sons in Billings, before she moved back to Astoria in 1975.
Carole was an avid bowler, one of the founders of women's softball in Billings, and an active member of the American Legion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew her. Her kind and generous heart was evident to all her family and friends. Carole possessed a great sense of humor and genuine love for live.
Carole is survived by her companion Howard Blair, son Greg Neill, his wife Sherry, son Doug Neill, his wife Gina and grandchildren Kimberly, Amy, Sean, Jennifer and Darcy.
Carole, you were a very special person. We love you. May you rest in peace and live forever in our hearts.

John Harrison Welch
John Harrison Welch, 82, of Billings, Mont., died Oct. 15, 1998, after a struggle with cancer. Born Aug. 17, 1916, in Hamilton, Mont., and raised in the Bitterroot Valley, he was the son of William and Edith Hayes Welch.
He married Jessie Mae VanHook at Saint Anthony's Church in Missoula, Mont., July 4, 1941. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Pacific Theater from June 1942 through October 1945, he was discharged with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Following the war, he worked for the Federal Aviation Agency, formally the Civil Aeronautics Administration, until his retirement in 1972. He served at many stations for the FAA during his career, living in Alaska, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Guam, Nevada, California and finally, Worland, Wyo. After staying in Worland, Wyo., from 1964 until 1989, Jack and Jessie moved to Billings, Mont.
preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Welch, and son Brian Welch who died in August of 1972, he leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Jessie, of Billings, his son John D. Welch and daughter-in-law, Carol Welch, both of Billings. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kellie Ann Gordon, of Lexington, Ky., Cory John Welch, of Springfield, Va., Ryan Bresnahan of Billings, Mont., and Jenny Bresnahan of Boise, Idaho.
John Harrison "Jack" Welch was an avid outdoors enthusiast - a fisherman and a hunter - who enjoyed his Labrador retrievers. He was also deeply devoted to his family. As a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be missed.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, Mont., 59107.
Cremation or Funeral Gallery & Cremation Society of Montana is in charge of arrangements.

Marguerite Etta Asp
GREYBULL, Wyo. - Longtime Greybull resident Marguerite Etta Asp died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at the West Park Hospital in Cody.
Marguerite was born June 3, 1913, in Chicago, Ill. She was the daughter of Emmett and Flora McNeil. She moved to Greybull in 1916 and received her education in Greybull. She married Herbert Asp, April 21, 1933, in Columbus, Mont.
She was devoted to her family, her husband of 65 years, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; they were her life. She was a member of the Women's Benefit Association and for several years she collected for the Easter Seals and the American Heart Association. In her spare time she loved to travel, grow flowers and sew.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Bessie McNeil and Jessie Dunn; one brother, Harry McNeil; one grandson, Brian Middleton.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert; three children: Joanne Asp Middleton and husband, Ken, Sherri Asp Winkler, all of Greybull, and Margo Asp Cannady and husband, Steve of Shell; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Atwood Family Funeral Chapel in Greybull, and half-hour prior to funeral service at the church on Oct. 19.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Greybull, with the Rev. Michael McMillan officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Hillside cemetery in Greybull.
Memorials can be made to the Big Horn Federal Savings in Greybull. Family will decide at a later date where the memorial fund will go to.

Margaret Louise Hughes Blessing
CODY, Wyo. - Margaret Louise Hughes Blessing, 81, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at West Park Long Term Care Center.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge.

Midge Gustafson
SIDNEY - Midge Gustafson, 58, of Sidney, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel with interment in the Pioneer cemetery.

Ida Storle Hoch
GLASGOW - Ida Storle Hoch, 89, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at Nemont Manor of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the First Lutheran Church with interment in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Clyde K. Lewis
DEER LODGE - Clyde K. Lewis, 63 of Deer Lodge, formerly of Billings, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, of cancer. He was born in Lewistown, a son of Chesley and Doris Wells Lewis. He was schooled in Lewistown and Great Falls.
He had worked as a barber, as a miner in Kellogg, Idaho, and later as a bartender in the Billings area.
Survivors include six sisters, Audrey Uselton, Elsie Ketterling, Marie Hancock, Mariann Riddle, Judy Lewis and Randa Schroeder; one brother, Donald Lewis; a half-brother, Duane Tafolla; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman.
Cremation has taken place at Cremation or Funeral Gallery and Cremation Society of Montana. Graveside inurnment will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
