William Willis Huston Jr.
William (Willie) Huston, a precious pearl, was peacefully escorted home to heaven on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998.
Willie was born on Feb. 18, 1965, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to William W. Huston and Diana J. Holub Huston. He later moved to Casper, Wyo., and in 1974 to Billings.
Willie attended Garfield School and graduated from Grand Avenue School in 1986. He had also been a participant in Special Olympics. He later attended Billings Training Industries. Willie was never able to walk or talk. His parents were told that he would only live for five years, but God presented us with a new miracle each day as Willie lived to be 33 years old. Willie was constantly surrounded by love from his mother, his family and friends, and many other special people in his life. Willie was a blessing to all that knew him. Even in the midst of great pain he would encourage others with his smile and laughter.
Willie enjoyed many simple things in his life - eating, swimming, music, and people. He also enjoyed being held, loved and cuddled. In church he enjoyed singing his own song during the sermon and was especially joyful at the mention of heaven. I think he knew the great rewards awaiting him.
Your mission on earth is over Sunshine. You are walking those streets of gold talking, laughing and singing. I can hardly wait to see that.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother; his grandfathers, Edward Holub and John Huston; and his grandmother, Irene Miller.
William is survived by his guardian, Lynda Whipple of Billings; half-brother, Jerry Huston of Guernsey, Wyo.; half-sister, Terry Amos of Davenport, Wash.; grandmother, Lena M. Holub, aunt, Delette Henkel, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jay and Denni Holder of Casper; uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Reva Huston of Wyoming, and many cousins; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Hank and Anella Snyder of Tensleep, Wyo., and Mr. and Mrs. Ben and Judy Reifer of Billings; two very special care givers and friends, Sandy Updegraff and Carrie Jenks.
The family requests no flowers and memorials may be given to Eagle Mount, 2822 Third Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101.
A celebration of Willie's life is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at 11 a.m., Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., Billings, MT. Cremation has already taken place.
