Caralee J. 'Honey' Duncan
Caralee J. "Honey" Duncan, 74, of Billings, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 17, 1998, at Saint Vincent Hospital. The daughter of Herbert and Mary (Sharp) Lefler, she was born in Miami, Okla., on Jan. 26, 1924.
She was raised and educated in Miami, Okla., and Sidney, Iowa, until 1937, when her family moved to Billings where she graduated from high school. On July 31, 1948, she married Marvin Duncan in Billings.
Honey worked for Hart-Albin Co. for many years. She also worked at the Hallmark Furniture store, as well as Roxanne's Gift Shop. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and was a longtime member of the Billings Duplicate Bridge Club #404. She loved knitting, traveling, and working in her flower beds, and was a dedicated blood donor for over 30 years. Above all else, Honey's family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids, were most important to her. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Norman and James Lefler.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, Marvin Duncan of Billings; her son, James Duncan and grandchildren, David, Lisa, and Elke; her daughter, Susan Laridis (Ted) and grandchildren, Greg, Bobbi Sue, and John; her sisters, Judy Schaak of Billings and Mary Alice McAfee of Oceanside, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to the Al-Bedoo Shrine Children's Hospital Transportation Trust Fund, P.O. Box 20673, Billings, MT 59104 or the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, 911 W. 5th, Spokane, WA 99204.

William Claude Fox
HAYS - William Claude Fox, 33, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, from injuries received in an auto-pedestrian accident.
Wake/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at St. Paul's Mission. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the mission with interment in the St. Paul's Mission cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge.

Exa May Higbie
CODY, Wyo. - Exa May Higbie, 95, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at West Park Long Term Care Center.
Cremation has taken place. Private family memorial graveside services will be in the Meeteetse cemetery. Ballard Funeral Home of Cody was in charge.

Geraldine Brown Jenrich
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Geraldine Brown Jenrich, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at the Westview Healthcare Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at Kane Funeral Home.

Daniel P. Kenny
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Daniel P. Kenny, 90, formerly of Glasgow, Mont., died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Glasgow. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the church with interment in Calvary cemetery in Havre, Mont. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge.

Donald E. Malmin
SACO - Donald E. Malmin, 64, drowned Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, in a boating accident at Nelson Reservoir.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Saco Lutheran Church with interment of cremated remains in the Saco cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge.

Leroy McAllister
GLASGOW - Leroy McAllister, 51, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital of cancer.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the First Lutheran Church with interment in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Shirley Ann Stedman
LOS ANGELES - Shirley Ann Lambert Stedman, 36, formerly of Poplar, Mont., died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, in Los Angeles of cancer.
A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the church with interment in the Poplar City cemetery. Clayton Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point, Mont., is in charge.

Dennis A. Burgess
Dennis A. Burgess, 59, of Billings, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, in Seattle.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at the Bullis Funeral Chapel in Hardin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Crow Agency Catholic Church with interment in Apache, Okla.

Glenn Joel Malmquist
BOZEMAN - Glenn Joel Malmquist, 64, formerly of Ekalaka, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka with interment in the family lot of the IOOF cemetery in Ekalaka.

Aili Isabell Tiltti
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Aili Isabell Tiltti, 83, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at the Amie Holt Care Center.
Services will be at a later date in Cincinnati, Ohio. Adams Funeral Home is in charge.

Elvi S. Bonhomme
LIVINGSTON - Elvi S. Bonhomme, 73, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with interment in Calvary cemetery. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home is in charge.

Fredrick C. Peterson
POWELL, Wyo. - Fredrick C. Peterson, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at the Powell Nursing Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with interment in Crown Hill cemetery.

Beula Fay Cozzens
POWELL, Wyo. - Beula Fay Cozzens, 76, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, of ALS (Lou Gehrig's) Disease at the Powell Nursing Home. Beula was born on Dec. 2, 1921, to Orville Emery Good and Queen Bell Rains Good at Star Community in Powell, Wyo. While attending Powell's schools, Beula received honors in typing and shorthand. She was home ec president and received the Silver Cup Award. She loved public speaking and participated in P.E., Glee Club, the school paper and cheerleading. She worked as an office girl for two years. Beula graduated from Powell High School in 1939. After graduation she worked one year for the Farm Security Office. On Dec. 15, 1940, Beula married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph Francis Cozzens. Those first years of marriage were spent farming on his farm, a two-room house without electricity or water. In 1945, they moved to Bellflower, Calif. The Cozzens returned to Powell in 1946. In 1955, Beula began her 29-year career as the Powell Middle School secretary, retiring in 1984. Although being raised Methodist, Beula joined the Mormon Church in 1956, being baptized in Lovell, Wyo., on June 7, 1956. She was sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1966. Beula was extremely active in her church. Her hobbies included gardening, genealogy, crafts, reading, cross stitch, aerobics and walking.
She is survived by her husband, children: Carol Faye Cozzens Thornberry (Dorn) of Portland, Ore., Melvin Good Cozzens of Denver, Colo., and Donald Francis Cozzens (Teri) of Powell, Wyo., 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, brothers: Irvin (Sarah) Good of Casper, Wyo., Ernie (Delores) Good of Willwood, Wyo., Dale (Jeannie) Good of Heart Mountain, Wyo., in-laws: Fred (Lucy) Cozzens of Powell, Wyo., Mel (Betty) Cozzens of Cody, Wyo., Olive (Charles) Hawkins of Cody, Wyo., John (Minnie) Cozzens of Powell, Wyo., Matt (Vesa) Cozzens of Ralston, Wyo. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. at the LDS Church in Powell, Wyo. Visitation will be between 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the LDS Church prior to service. Interment will follow service at Crown Hill cemetery in Powell, Wyo. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Clayton 'Bill' Keysor
RICHEY - Memorial services for Robert Clayton "Bill" Keysor, age 72, of Richey, Mont., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998 at the Chapel of Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Rev. Pat McFarren officiating. Interment with full military honors will be at the Richey cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Bill died Saturday evening, Sept. 12, 1998, at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive.
Bill was born on Feb. 8, 1926, in Bloomfield, Mont., the son of Clayton and Mary (Moore) Keysor. At the age of 18, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy on Sept. 13, 1944. He served in the Pacific Theatre, earning several campaign ribbons as a Motor Machinists Mate, Third Class. He was honorably discharged on June 14, 1946, at Bremerton, Wash. That autumn, on Sept. 7, Bill married Betty Marie Volbrecht in Glendive.
Bill had worked for the Bradshaw Ranch in Locate, Mont.; the Canfield Rodeo Company; and the Switzer Brothers Ranch, both of Richey. Both McCone and Dawson County road departments benefited from service by Bill as a dedicated employee. Bill also enjoyed managing the VFW in Richey and was quartermaster for Post #7887. Bill was a member of the Richey Saddle Club. He also enjoyed harvesting, rodeoing and his grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, a nephew, his father-in-law and mother-in-law. He is survived by his wife Betty M. Keysor of Richey; a daughter Cheryl Whiteman of Richey, daughter Becky Vetter and her husband Brian of Glendive and a daughter Susy Ehli and her husband Ken of Circle; a son Keith Keysor of Circle and son Bruce Keysor of Sidney; a sister Frances Volbrecht and her husband Albert of Sidney; a brother Lyle Keysor and his wife Harumi also of Sidney; and 10 grandchildren, Kim Whiteman of Richey, Kelly, Kirk and Kyle Keysor of Circle, Ben Keysor of Sidney, Megan Keysor of Circle, Brett and Brenden Vetter of Glendive, and Mandi and Dena Ehli of Circle. Bill is also survived by a brother-in-law Butch Volbrecht and his wife Sheryl of Richey; sister-in-law Jean Crockett and her husband Bud of Derby, West Australia, and 15 nieces and nephews.

Alma Fichtner Marple
BRIDGER - Alma Marple passed away Sept. 12, 1998, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Mont.
Amelia Alma Fichtner was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Turtle Lake, N.D., to Henry and Katherine Berg Fichtner. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Reformation Church in Laurel, Mont., April 13, 1930. Alma and Charles Marple were united in marriage in Missoula, Mont., on April 9, 1955. Alma and her husband, Charles were residing in Bridger, Mont., at the time of her death.
Alma operated the Stockman Cafe in Bridger for a number of years and later owned and operated the Clarks Fork Lanes and Cafe with her husband, Charles until 1970.
Alma was a gentle, generous and loving lady who worked very hard throughout her life, even while coping with the pain and limitations of arthritis for the past several years. She was known to all who loved her for her kindness and charitable deeds, always trying to comfort and help others.
Alma was well known for her wonderful cooking and baking talents, which she generously shared with friends and family. She loved hosting family dinners, which always included an afternoon playing cards. Many looked forward to her delicious baked Christmas treats, caramel rolls and homemade noodles.
Alma Marple was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Tucker, Mrs. Amelia Gjefle, Mrs. Louise Schreiner; four brothers, Fred Fichtner, Emil Fichtner, Ben Fichtner and John Fichtner.
She is survived by her husband, Charles of Bridger; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bosch of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Dorothy Strauch of Laurel, Mrs. Christine Traver of Laurel, Mrs. Alvina Rasmussen of Anaconda; a brother, Ted Fichtner of Laurel; numerous nephews, nieces, two step-grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel, Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Laurel cemetery. Memorials are suggested to: Al Bedoo Shrine Transportation Fund, c/o Al Bedoo Temple, P.O. Box 20673, Billings, Mont., 59104 or charity of one's choice.

Velma Nelson
GLASGOW - Velma Nelson, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, in Valley View Home of natural causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at First United Methodist Church with burial in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Robert P. Pietz
Robert P. Pietz, 63, of Billings died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at Eagle Cliff Manor.
Memorial service will be 12 p.m. (noon) at Cremation or Funeral Gallery, 114 Florine Lane. Cremation has been held.
Survivors include two daughters, Carmen (Rob) Cornejo and Jodie Pietz both of New Mexico; three sons, Gene Pietz and Monte Ross of Billings and Marty Ross of Texas; one brother Kenneth; and his wife Nancy Pietz of Billings and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Kathrine Ann.

Diann Richards
Diann Richards, 46, of Billings, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, of natural causes.
She was a very loving and caring woman. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2210 Colton Blvd., Billings, Mont. Cremation has taken place. Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Harry W. Thormahlen
BRIDGER - Harry W. Thormahlen, 64, of Bridger passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at the Deaconess Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 8, 1934, to Ernest and Lola (Brashear) Thormahlen at Fromberg. He spent his childhood days around Bridger and Fromberg where he finished high school. He then joined the Army in 1952, served in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1955.
He married Betty Shoop Aug. 22, 1966, in Billings..
Harry retired from Exxon Refinery in 1997. He loved life, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and long rides on back country roads. He always looked for something new. Most of all, their little farm south of Bridger with all their animals was his favorite. He was a member of the Red Lodge Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Bridger, his mother and stepfather Lola and Darold Brey of Billings; three stepsons, Sam (Barbara) Shoop of Billings, Clinton (Sheri) Shoop of Belgrade and Jeff Shoop of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Carolyn Houseman and friend Luie Teel of Dayton, Wyo.; two brothers-in-law, Gordon Strand of Stevensville, Mont., and Alvin Strand of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Ann Hartung and friend Don of Bridger and Donna (Ray) Doherty of Billings; 38 nieces and nephews and lots of relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be at the Thormahlen Ranch south of Bridger at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. Cremation has taken place. Smith Downtown Chapel in charge of arrangements.
