Charles 'Chuck' Johnson
Charles "Chuck" Johnson, 74, of Billings, died Sunday, July 19.
He is survived by his wife, Lou; his children: Candace of Bellingham, Wash., Wayne of Cooke City, Lynn and her husband, Shane of Vale, Ore., Brian and his wife, Julie of Billings, Jo of Billings; his brothers, Bob of Eugene, Ore., and Al of Billings; his sisters, Mary of Billings, Kim of Redmond, Ore., and Odile of Almeda, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Holy Rosary Church.
Clifford Kallevig
SIDNEY - Clifford Kallevig, 85, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at the Sidney Health Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in the Richland Memorial Park, both in Sidney. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney is in charge.
Mildred I. (Lockhart) Ramsey Miller
AMERICAN FALLS, Idaho - Mildred I. (Lockhart) Ramsey Miller, 78, formerly of Bozeman, Mont., died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at her home in American Falls of cancer.
Services will be Tuesday, July 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in American Falls. Davis Mortuary of American Falls is in charge.
Gordon G. Nelson
GLENDIVE - Gordon G. Nelson, 54, of Glendive, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at the Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Zion Lutheran Church with interment in the Dawson County cemetery, both in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is in charge.
Roland Earl Nelson
PARK CITY - Roland Earl Nelson was born July 26, 1935, in Hettinger, N.D., to Margaret Warne Nelson and Ervin Nelson.
He was married
to Wanda L. Miller on Sept. 10, 1959. They had two children, Monte and Tod.
Roland passed away July 20, 1998, at the Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
He is survived by his wife; his son, Monte; two granddaughters, Jolene and Amanda, and one grandson, Tyler; a sister, Bonnie Rose and her family; and many cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Tod.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel, 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 1998. Interment will be in Prairie City, S.D.
Clifford 'Smoky' O'Brien
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Clifford "Smoky" O'Brien, 72, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County after a long illness.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Ferries Funeral Home of Sheridan is in charge.
Hilda Peterson
POWELL, Wyo. - Hilda Peterson, 87, died July 19, 1998, at the Powell Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, at the Church of Christ in Powell. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at the Mountain View Funeral Home Garden Chapel with interment in the Mountain View cemetery, both in Tacoma, Wash. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home of Powell is in charge.
Joseph Potmesil
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Joseph Potmesil, 83, of Buffalo, died Friday, July 17, 1998, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Willow Grove cemetery in Buffalo.
Saka Mileva Robinson
Saka Mileva Robinson, formerly of Portland, Ore., and Union City, Calif., a resident of Billings since 1984, passed away on July 19, 1998, at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center.
She was born on April 23, 1915, the daughter of Nickola Jovanov and Milka Vrajnich Borich at McGill, Nev. She married
Robert E. Robinson on Nov. 11, 1942. They lived in Oregon, Washington and California from 1942 until 1984. In 1984, they moved to Billings.
What Saka enjoyed the most in her years in Billings was spending time with her family and friends and making her famous pies and zucchini bread. She enjoyed dancing, her home, gardening, her dog, Murphy, and working out at a gym almost every day of the week. Saka will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends, and those incredible banana cream pies.
Saka is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Milka Borich, and three brothers, Svetozar, George (Chick), and Daniel Borich.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Robbie); son, Gary A. Robinson and wife, Jie Liu; brothers, Milan and Brunko Borich.
Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Heights Chapel.

Harley O. 'Buster' Sundquist
SHAWMUT - Harley O. "Buster" Sundquist, 65, of Shawmut died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
He was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Wilton. N.D. the son of Henry L. and Edith (Keator) Sundquist. He was raised and educated in the Wilton area and following graduation entered in to the U.S. Army where he served from July 1953 to June 1955.
He returned to Bismarck, N.D. and became a pressman for the Bismarck Tribune.
On Jan. 14, 1956, he married
Dolores Wall in Eismarck. They moved to Billings in 1965 and Buster worked as a pressman at Empire Printing, Billings Times, Artcraft Printers and retired from Trott Printing. In 1988, he and his wife retired to Deadman's Basin near Shawmut,.
Buster was a member of the American Legion Post 4 in Billings for 39 years. He loved to hunt, fish and ranch.
Survivors include his wife Delores; his son and wife, Randal M. and Laura Sundquist of Nine Mile Falls, Wash.; and his daughter, Wanda R. Dietz of Casper, Wyo.; his brother Henry Sundquist of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his sisters, Lucille Speten and husband Rudy of Wilton, N.D. and Bernice Johnson and husband, Gordon of Minot. N.D.; numerous nieces and nephews
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday. July 23, at the Smith West Chapel. Cremation has taken place with interment of cremains at Mountview cemetery with military rites.
Dorothy Weis
Dorothy Weis, born Aug. 17, 1930, died of cancer on July 18, 1998, at the age of 67. She entered into this world the youngest of eight children born to John and Katherine Giesick.
Dorothy spent her youth on the family farm east of Billings and attended schools there until high school, at which time she attended Billings Senior High. On May 1, 1948, she married
Clarence Weis of Laurel. In 1957, they moved to Missoula, where they owned and operated Western Pump and Meter, until 1961, when they relocated the business permanently to Billings. From 1982 to 1986, they also owned the Caboose Saloon in Laurel.
In 1968, Dorothy and Clarence purchased a ranch southeast of Laurel, where they would spend many happy and memorable days. Dorothy was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the BPOE Elks Lodge in Billings. She enjoyed music, dancing, laughing and having a good time. Her infectious laugh and generosity of spirit became her hallmark, and friends and family could always depend on her for her understanding, support, and light-hearted humor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Weis; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ramsdell of Delmont, S.D.; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and William Crowley of Missoula; her son, Clarence Weis Jr. Of Minneapolis; her treasured grandchildren, Jason Beyl of Drumwight, Okla., Michael Beyl of Billings and Katie, Kristie, Kim and Kevin Crowley of Missoula; her sisters, Esther Wilson and Helen Gunlock, both of Billings; and her close friend, Dick Drewniak, of Billings.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Memorials may be directed to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, Mont. 59107-5033, the BPOE Elks Lodge, 934 Lewis Ave., Billings, Mont. 59102, the Lutheran Center, 1024 N. 30th St., Billings, Mont. 59101, or the charity of one's choice. Henry B. Wright
GLASGOW - Henry B. Wright, 80, died Monday, July 20, 1998, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, at the First Lutheran Church with interment in the Highland cemetery, both in Glasgow. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge.
Stanley Lloyd Bradley
TOWNSEND - Stanley Lloyd Bradley, 75, of Townsend, formerly of Livingston, died Friday, July 17, 1998, at his home.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, in the chapel of the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home in Livingston.
Beatrice A. Burton
Beatrice A. Burton passed away peacefully Friday, July 17, 1998, after a very long illness. All of her friends and family will remember her as a strong, intelligent, and respected person, who was always willing to help other people.
Bea, as she was known, was born in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada, on Aug. 29, 1923, to Harold and Florence M. (Bell) Appel. She graduated from the School of Nursing at Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario, and then studied Anesthesia at The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.
Bea and Jack R. Burton were united in marriage on Oct, 31, 1952, in Detroit, Mich., and she continued to be active in anesthesia in many U.S. cities as a result of her husband's promotional transfers with General Motors Corp. In Billings, Bea was an associate with the Medical Doctors Anesthesia Associates and continued in that field until declining health called for retirement.
Bea is survived by her husband Jack of the family home in Billings; her daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) and her husband Jonathan H. Marler; her sister, Mabel E. Appel; three grandsons, Jonathan Robert, Oliver, and Nicholas Marler, all of Toronto, Ontario; her brother, Lloyd Appel and his wife Betty of Kingsville, Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bea was preceded in death by her parents; her son J. Robert (Bob) Burton; and her brother Edward Appel of Windsor, Ontario.
To Bea: "We know your family and friends were the joy of your life. We love you dearly and will greatly miss you as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. You will be in our thoughts and prayers forever."
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Milous Repka at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel. Memorials maybe directed to the charity of one's choice.
Janice Camino
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Janice Camino, 47, of Buffalo, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, after a long illness.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Adams Funeral Home. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at St. John the Baptist, with interment in the Willow Grove cemetery.
August Hochhalter
HARDIN - August Hochhalter, 92, longtime Hardin area resident, passed away Saturday, July 18, 1998, in the Big Horn County Memorial Nursing Home.
He was born June 12, 1906, in Wishek, N.D., a son of John and Magdalena Hochhalter. He grew up and received his education at a country school near Wishek and worked on the family farm.
August married
Mary Hochhalter on June 16, 1932, in Ashley, N.D. The couple farmed in North Dakota until 1935, when they moved to Idaho for a year, before moving to Hardin in 1937. He farmed in the Hardin area for many years, as well as working for the Holly Sugar Corporation. In 1947, he began work for the Saunders Lumber Company and continued for French's Building Materials, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the Open Bible Church, Big Horn County Senior Citizens and the Big Horn County Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Hardin; two sons, Harold (Amy) Hochhalter of Boise, Idaho, and Larry (Dorothy) Hochhalter of Laurel; one daughter, Arlene Miller of Chinook; one brother, Alvin Hochhalter of Billings; two sisters, Maggie Wolf of Billings and Lea Eiseneis of Wishek, N.D.; eight grandchildren, Elton and Kelly Hochhalter of Boise, Idaho, Karen Hochhalter of Laurel, Stephen Hochhalter of Mukilteo, Wash., Mark and Jodi Miller of Eau Claire, Wis., Rochelle and John Cathcart of Stillwater, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hochhalter of Boise, Idaho, Rachel and Shelby Cathcart of Stillwater, Okla.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Schultz officiating. Interment will follow in the Hardin Fairview cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Gertrude Irene Howe
BASIN, Wyo. - Gertrude Irene Howe, 87, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at the Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home in Basin.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull, Wyo. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the First Presbyterian Church in Greybull, with interment in the Whaley cemetery in Shell, Wyo.
