Gregory Joseph Henderson
GRASS RANGE — Gregory Joseph Henderson, 85, of Grass Range, a retired Bear Paw Mountains area rancher, died of natural causes Friday at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings after a long illness.
His funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cloyd Funeral Chapel in Lewistown.
A second service is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre, with burial in Highland cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Henderson of Grass Range; daughters Sharon Martin and Cathy Henderson, both of Lewistown, Carol Sluggett of Roy, Linda Warburton of Havre, Rita Andrews of Conrad and Cindy Henderson of Helena; sons Gerald Henderson of Havre and James Henderson of Warrick; stepchildren Larry Munson of Great Falls, Gene Munson of Bozeman and Beth Rader of Kalispell; a sister, Alice Haburchak of Great Falls; 34 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine (Hockett) Henderson; a son, Gregory Henderson Jr.; a daughter, Mary Louise Henderson; three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Chris Heggen Jr.
KREMLIN — Chris Heggen, Jr., 76, a longtime resident of Kremlin, died of natural causes Friday at a Great Falls hospital.
Cremation has taken place. His memorial service is 10 a.m. Friday at Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre, with burial in Highland cemetery, followed by a fellowship luncheon at the Eagles.
Chris is survived by his children, Tim (Debbie) Heggen of Helena, Dale (Julie) Heggen and Lynn (Bonnie) Heggen, both of Havre, Phyllis (Jim) Lyons of Valier and Ellis (Nelsa) Heggen of Great Falls; a brother, Clifford (Carol) Heggen of Kremlin; a sister, Borghil Heggen Thomas of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren Nick, Cassie, Crystal, Cory, Tina, Travis, Dale and Kaloni; great-grandchildren Kaden, Carson, Courtney, Stephanie, Logan and Aki; and several nephews and nieces.
Chris was born April 22, 1928, south of Kremlin to Chris L. and Olivia (Reum) Heggen Sr.
He attended country school at Halfway Coulee and worked on the family farm and ranch in Kremlin.
Chris went to work for the railroad during the winter of 1946 in Great Falls.
He worked that winter and then returned to the family farm.
He also worked for General Mills in Gildford from 1981 to 1984.
Chris enjoyed farming, dancing and eating good food.
His family was very important to him and he dearly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vicky Heggen; four sisters, Othilla Heggen Kincaid, Clara Heggen Johnson, Josephine Heggen Engleking and Florence Heggen Johns; and two brothers, Lloyd Heggen and Lawrence Heggen.
Memorials in Chris's honor may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or to a memorial of one's choice.

Bailey Renee Dean
Bailey Renee Dean, daughter of James and Kristal Dean of 505 Ironwood was stillborn Friday at a local hospital.
Her funeral will be at Stanwood Four Square Church in Arlington, Wash., at a later date.
O'Connor Funeral Home is handling the local arrangements.
In addition to her parents, Bailey Renee is survived by a sister, Brianna Danae Dean of Great Falls and grandparents Rebecca Ryback and Philip L. Dean, both of Camano Island, Wash., and Linda Nelson of California.

Joshua T. Rutherford
HARLEM -- Blaine County deputy Joshua T. Rutherford, 28, of Harlem, died of a gunshot wound Friday in Harlem.
His wake and rosary begin at 5 p.m. today at Red Whip Recreation Center in Fort Belknap.
Funeral Mass is 10:15 a.m. Monday at Harlem High School Gymnasium, with burial in Pony Hill cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Rutherford of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons Thomas Rutherford and Teague Rutherford of Harlem and Matthew and Michael Rutherford of Las Vegas, N.M.; his mother, Maxine Magpie Clifford of Denver; his father Mike Matthews of Wolf Point; sisters Tammy Rider of Fort Belknap; Jody Rutherford of Denver and Angela Matthews of Wolf Point; brothers Lewis Matthews of Wolf Point and Sean Cherichigno of Denver; grandmothers Esther Dumont of Harlem and Ruby Rasor of Wolf Point; and a great-grandmother, Theresa Walker of Hays.

CONRAD -- Former Conrad resident Beryl Elizabeth Hall, 93, of Billings, died of natural causes Wednesday in Billings.
Her funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pondera Valley Lutheran Church, with burial in Hillside cemetery.
Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary in Billings and Pondera Funeral Home in Conrad are handling arrangements.

Dorothy Ruth Baldwin
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Former Great Falls and area resident Dorothy Ruth (Smith) Baldwin, 87, who had lived in Fairfield, Oilmont, Sunburst and Winnett, died of natural causes May 21 in Portland, Ore.
A service has taken place at Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Portland.
A second service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Fairfield, with burial at Sunset Hills cemetery in Fairfield.
Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home of Portland and Gorder Funeral Home of Choteau are in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters Sharon Davis of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, and Teri Lund of Portland; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Louis Merle Baldwin, died Dec. 24, 1989.

Howard Glenn Olson
World War II Army veteran Howard Glenn Olson, 79, a retired railroader, died of natural causes Friday at a Great Falls Hospital.
His funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Havre, with burial in Highland cemetery followed by a fellowship reception at the church.
Holland & Bonine Funeral Home in Havre is handling arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Olson of Havre; daughters Sandra Blair and Linda Ehry both of Spokane; a son, David Olson of Spokane; brothers Lloyd Olson of Havre, Norman Olson of Ronan, and Francis Olson of Spokane; sisters Lorraine Cyr of Helena and Adeline Lopes of Orville, Calif.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Clyde 'Woody' Monroe
Former Cut Bank resident and World War II veteran Clyde "Woody" Monroe, 87, of 1615 9th St. So., died of natural causes Saturday at Peace Hospice.
Graveside services with military honors are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crown Hill cemetery in Cut Bank.
Cremation will take place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home of Great Falls is handling arrangements.
He is survived by his wife Lyda C. Monroe of Great Falls; a brother; Raymond A. Monroe of Roseville, Calif.; sisters; Lillie D. Haynes of Eatonville, Wash., and JoAnn Blik of Aliso Viego, Calif.; and sisters-in-law; Pearl Chavez of Great Falls, and Edna Monroe of Greeley, Colo.
He is also survived by nieces Raye Jean Saar of Olympia, Wash., Willa Toft of Fort Worth, Texas, Carol Haverlandt of Ulm; 11 other nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and great-nephews and 11 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Clyde was born March 3, 1916, in Greeley, Colo., to Lillie (Gordon) and Clyde P. Monroe, Sr.
He received his education in Colorado before moving to Valier.
After working for a farmer for a short time he went to work for Union Oil in Cut Bank.
Clyde started farming east of Cut Bank and planted his last crop at the age of 85.
He served in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific on Pelelieu Island.
He was on a PT boat when it was bombed and spent 24 hours in the water before being rescued by another boat.
He was one of two survivors from the bombing.
He spent time rehabilitating in hospitals in California and Utah before being discharged in 1946.
He was united in marriage to Lyda C. Thompson in Conrad, in 1952.
He was a member of the Cut Bank VFW, American Legion and the Montana Grain Growers Association.
His love was farming, gardening and fabricating metal to make life easier for his family and friends.
Clyde and Lyda didn't have any children but devoted time to their nieces and nephews.
Clyde was a great uncle and "grandpa" and will be missed by all.
Memorials are suggest to Peace Hospice or the Veterans Memorial in Great Falls.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Florence M. Carlson, C. Eunice Monroe, Jessie B. Wood, and Elizabeth "Betty" Monroe; and brothers Chester F. Monroe and John O. Monroe.
