Russell Kellicutt
Russell Kellicutt, age 47, of Miles City, MT passed away on January 4, 2006 in Miles City, MT.
Russell was born on June 28, 1958 in Waco, Texas to Donna (Graham) and Bobbie Jean Kellicutt. He attended grade schools in Waco, TX and then attended Olympia High School. In 1977 Russell proudly enlisted in the United States Navy were he served until his honorable discharge in 1983 and then served in the Army National Guard from 1985 to 1992. He was employed as a Corrections Officer at Green Hill in Washington State from 1997 to 2001 and drove school bus for Centralia/Chehalis. After moving to Miles City he continued his career as Corrections Officer for Pine Hills and was employed by Wal-Mart until the time of his death.
Russell especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and family.
Russell is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jolene and five children; Robert, Kalene, Mathew, Raymond and Melissa of Miles City, MT, his mother Donna VanDorn and stepfather Hank Ovens of Olympia, WA, sister Barbara Simper of Vernal, UT, Sister Kathy Hokkanen of Thorton, CO along with numerous Aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Society of America; 7910 Woodmont Ave, suite 650, Bethesda, MD 20814-3015.

Shelly Longfox
Shelly Lynn (Fortune) Longfox, age 44, of Hays, Montana formerly of Miles City passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the Benefis East Hospital in Great Falls.
Shelly was born in Quinn, South Dakota on July 2, 1960, the daughter of Vern and Wildene (White) Fortune. In 1962, she moved with her family from South Dakota to the family ranch near Miles City where she loved raising her 4-H steers and working cattle. She attended Garland Country School and graduated from Custer County High School. Following her schooling, she remained in Miles City where she worked with racehorses and met and married Leon Longfox. They made their home in Billings, Montana and in 1996, they moved to Hayes where they had lived since.
Shelly loved to do crafts, work in her flower gardens, and tell jokes. Shelly was very encouraging and supporting of her children and their activities, Morgann with her piano lessons, basketball, Native Indian Dance, and Brandon with his FFA, Rodeo, and Football. Shelly truly loved all of her nieces and nephews.
Shelly is survived by her husband, Leon Longfox of Hays, MT; her son, Brandon Longfox of Hays, MT; her daughter, Morgann Longfox of Hays, MT; her mother, Wildene Fortune of Miles City, MT; her father and step mother, Vern and Bea Fortune of Kyle, SD; her grandmother, Vernice White of Miles City, MT; five sisters: Susan Wells and her husband Ron of Miles City, MT; Janice Fortune of Billings, MT; Kathy Baugatz and her husband Lee of Miles City, MT; Darcy Boggs and her husband Les of Baker, MT; and Stacy Fortune and her husband Stacy Butts of Billings, MT. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, a sister, Denise Fortune; a brother, Todd Fortune; a step-son, Leon Longfox Jr., a brother-in-law, Bill Pauley; and a niece Abby Jo Michal.
Family will receive friends on Monday, July 5, 2004 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church in Miles City. An additional service will be held in Hays with interment to follow in the family lot on the Hays cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted by Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Mary Regan
Mary Bernardine Regan died quietly Saturday, November 20, 2004, in Miles City, Montana.
Mary was born to Mae and Clem Sheridan on May 25, 1914. She spent her formative years in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating from high school, she sang professionally and worked as a secretary. While visiting relatives (the George and Gretchen Carr family in Miles City, Montana), she met, corresponded with, fell in love with, and married Robert T. Regan.
During their 64 years together, they created a family and a community of lively and fun-loving friends and companions. Mary actively encouraged her extended family’s involvement in academics, music, arts, and sports. She expressed her deep faith by selfless participation in Church and community service.
Mary is survived by her husband Robert; sons Robert, Jr. (Mary) of Nashville, Tennessee; Joseph (Barb) of Miles City, Montana; Michael (Melissa) of Eureka, California; John of Livingston, Montana; Pat (Cathy) of Cle Elum, Washington; and Dan of Livingston, Montana; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents (Clem and Mae); two loving maternal aunts (Gretchen Carr and Elizabeth “Biddy” Neuwirth); and brothers (Joe and Charles).
Mary genuinely loved and cared for others and, in turn, was deeply loved and respected. She had a contagious gift for sharing happiness and delight in life.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Rite of Committal will follow in the Calvary cemetery in Miles City.
Should friends desire, flowers, masses and memorials may be sent to the charity of ones choice.

Tonya Lambert
Tony “Taco” Leigh Lambert went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2004. Tonya was born to William and Eliza (Half Red) Lambert, Sr. in Williston, ND on August 10, 1976. She was a 1994 graduate of Poplar High School. Throughout her life, she was employed with the Headstart programs, the Poplar Public Schools and the Fort Peck Tribal Diabetes program.
Tonya enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with her friends and family. She was a very loving, caring person. She was free spirited and made people laugh. She unforgettable touched the lives of many.
Tonya is survived by her father, William Lambert Sr., her sister Willette Lambert, two brothers, William “Duta” Lambert, Jr., and Loyd Lambert, all of Poplar. She is also survived by a special nephew William Lambert III, a special niece Eliza Faith Mason, both of Poplar, special cousins Melissa (William) Black Dog of Ft. Kipp, Terri (Monte) Mason, Angela Summers, Robert Summers, Ben Summers, all of Poplar. Also surviving are aunts Sybil Summers, Monica Laroque, Diana Lynn Bighorn, Judy Falcon, Irene Bighorn, all of Poplar, Joni Falcon of Trenton, ND, Anita Lee of Glendive, Brenda Bauer of Brockton, Trivian Nault of Spokane, Aurelia Bets His Medicine, Marva Young Bear, Lynette Boyd, all of Ft. Kipp, Dorine Drags Wolf of New Town, ND, Carol Contreras of Blackfoot, ID, Anna Aldama of Jerome, ID, uncles Carl Lambert, Robert Summers, Sr., Ford Falcon, Les Bighorn, Kevin Falcon, and Jo Lambert, all of Poplar, Alex Falcon of Idaho Falls, ID, Edwin Falcon of Tracy, CA, Bruce Bauer and Byron Bauer both of Wolf Point, Norman Nault of Spokane, Eugene Boyd of Ft. Kipp, Fred Zaste of Trenton, ND, Eddie Lambert of Sioux Falls, SD, and Robert Lambert of Mexico. Her grandparents, Helen Damm of Jerome, ID, Elsie King of Poplar, Arleta Feather Earring of Wolf Point, Serena Good Soldier and Mercy White Bear, both of Ft. Kipp and Eddie Falcon of Trenton, ND and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces also survive her. Her mother, Eliza Half Red Lambert and numerous grandparents, aunts and uncles, preceded Tonya in death.
Prayer services will held on Tuesday, December 28 at 7 pm with a wake to follow. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 1 pm all at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will be in Ft. Kipp cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Huldah Josephine Karge
Huldah Karge passed away Friday, August 27, 2004 at Faith Lutheran Home. She was born October 3, 1906 at Sisseton, South Dakota to Inga Ostberg and Edward Bach. In 1915, she came to Montana with her widowed mother and three brothers.
Huldah graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1924 as valedictorian of her class. She attended Minot State College and taught in rural schools until 1930 when she married Albert Karge. To this union were born three children, Harvey (Bertha), Irma Christensen (Tom) and Kenneth (Audrey).
Huldah loved to read, garden and do puzzles. She especially loved crocheting and was known for her beautiful doilies.
Huldah was devoted to her church and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, son Harvey and five brothers, Morris, Sverre (Slim), Edward, Harry, and Paul. Her children, Irma Christensen of Wolf Point and Kenneth Karge of Seaside, OR, survive her. Grandchildren Kay and Kent Christensen, Kari, Kris, Leroy and George Karge and Karolyn Braun, great-grandchildren Alissa Christensen, Natasha Braun, and Evan, Cami and Celeste Karge, also survive her. Brothers Donald Anderson of Casa Grande, AZ and Robert Anderson of Kalispell and sister Irene Erickson of Wolf Point also survive her.
All of us in her family, who she left behind, loved her very much and will cherish her memory.
Inurnment will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 3 pm at Greenwood cemetery. Memorial services will be held at First Lutheran Church on Thursday, September 2 at 4 pm. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Clara Volz
Clara Volz, age 93, of Miles City, Montana, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Clara was born on September 18, 1910, in Linton, North Dakota, the daughter of Anton and Clara (Aberle) Masseth. She attended country grade schools until the fifth grade when she had to quit to help on the family farm. Clara married Rudolph Volz on October 22, 1931 in Linton, North Dakota. She moved to Montana in May of 1951 where she worked as a chamber maid in various hotels. She then worked at the Holy Rosary Hospital, working in the laundry for eleven years.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph on November 18, 1986, two infant sons, Anthony and Lawrence, a grandson Jeffery Volz, a brother Nicholas, and five sisters; Katherine, Regina, Christine, Elizabeth and Eva. She is survived by her children; Nicholas Volz and his wife Betty of Baker, MT, Joseph Volz and his wife Judith of Miles City, MT, Helen Murray of Billings, MT, Jacob Volz and his wife Frieda of Miles City, Eva McCabe of Miles City, MT and Mathew Volz and his wife Darlene of Billings, MT, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Monday, August 23, 2004 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Vigil services will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Calvary cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Amelia Marie Eder Summers
Amelia Marie Eder Summers was born February 3, 1928 in Poplar, MT. She passed quietly into God’s arms on July 12, 2004, in Billings at the home of her daughter with family at her side. She Married James D. Summers on January 10, 1947 and together they raised six sons and one daughter. As a young girl she was a gymnast who could almost turn herself inside out! Amelia was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved cooking, sewing and gardening. Among many other talents, she made beautiful handmade crafts and the best homemade pies in the world. Her piecrust would melt in your mouth. She often baked at least two dozen pies for every holiday. We were very proud of her many accomplishments.
Amelia is survived by four sons and their families: Rick (Mark and Michelle) of Poplar, Randy (Kelly, Gerron, Gerris and James) of Poplar, Stormy (Ardene, Morgan and Eric) of Green Bay, WI, and Tracy (Ron) of Cathedral City, Ca and one daughter,
Franci (Dave, Jared and Travis) Cellan of Billings, MT. She is also survived by one sister, Marcella (Jimmie) Jones of Billings, MT, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friends, George, Joe, and the McClammys.
Waiting for her in heaven are her parents, Mark and Fannie Eder, brothers, Buster and Joe, husband, James D., sons, James F and Mac, her favorite nephew, Bobby, and her grandson, J.T. Rest in God’s arms now Mom, we will always love you.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 3 pm at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Poplar, MT with a prayer service at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church in Poplar, MT with Rev. Dr. James Isaac officiating. Interment will be in the Poplar City cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Loretta Fay Schafer
Loretta Fay Schafer, age 63, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Loretta was born in Plevna, Montana on June 16, 1941, the daughter of Jacob and Emma (Folmer) Opp. She attended schools in Plevna until her senior year when her family moved to Miles City where she graduated from Custer County High School. Following high school, she married Albert Schafer on April 10, 1960. Loretta and Albert made their home in Miles City where they raised their children. Loretta and Albert delivered the Miles City Star for over twenty years, retiring in November of 2002.
Loretta was an active member of the First Baptist Church for 47 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, watching TV, crocheting, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed attending church activities.
Loretta is survived by her son, Rodney Schafer and his wife Andrea and their children Caterra and Dannae, all of Glendive, MT; her daughter, Veronica VanDerWerff and her husband Kevin and their children April and Brian all of Miller, SD; a brother, Ruben Opp and his wife June of Miles City and several nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; a daughter, Rosalie; two brothers: Emil and Richard Opp; and one sister, Martha Sieler.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2005 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County cemetery in Miles City.

James H. Thompson
James H. Thompson, age 69, of Miles City passed away on Friday, June 24, 2005 at his home in Miles City.
James was born in Poplar, Montana on September 22, 1935, the son of Andrew and Alice (Morgan) Thompson. He attended schools in Fraser and in Twin Bridges, Montana. James worked at many different jobs through the years which included Working at Glasgow, Montana on the military base, volunteering for DAV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, working at McDonalds in California, and working for CTS in California from which he retired. James moved to Miles City in 1992 where he has made his home since.
James is survived by a brother, Jake of Arizona; two sisters: Agnes and Elaine both of California; his favorite niece, Barb Houdeshell and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Ann Rosemary.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the VA Chapel in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran’s cemetery in Miles City with full military honors provided by post # 1579. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

Doloris Maxine Stensland
Doloris Maxine Stensland, age 74, of Wolf Point, MT passed away due to natural causes on July 7, 2004 in Wolf Point. Doloris was born July 25, 1929 in Oswego, MT to Russel and Dorothy (Drewey) Slatteslowe. She was involved in many activities including, 4-H, High School Rodeo Board of Directors, Women involved in Farm Economics, First Lutheran Church, Cheerleading Advisor, and Montana Mental Health Association.
Doloris is survived by her husband, John B. Stensland of Wolf Point, two daughters, Jude Stensland and Darcy Stensland Potter, two sons, Jack (Christy) Stensland and Dale Stensland, her grandchildren, Tara Crowley (Mike Mastel), Kari (Mark) Wilson, Andrew Kurokowa, James and Michael Potter, Vandie Rae (Marty) Buckingham, Becky Stensland, J.D. Stensland and Aria Stensland, and her great grandchildren, Dorothy Anne and Burke Mastel, Zacheriah and Alexander Wilson, and Madison Stensland. Honorary daughters and son, Shelley Isle, Andrea Hayes, and Tim Kurokawa.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2004 at 2:00pm at the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point MT. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Rebecca Pyle Ruiz
Rebecca “Becky” Diane (Rentschler) Pyle Ruiz, age 45, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 in Miles City.
Becky Ruiz was born on June 13th 1959 in Marion Ohio to Ben and Bertha Rentschler. Along with her brothers and sister, she was raised in the Marion/Green Camp area of that state. She attended local schools there, including Green Camp Elementary and Elgin High School. As a young woman she married Jamie Hawkins, whom she had known all of her childhood. Of that union, one son was born, Jeremy James Hawkins.
Becky had spent some time in Miles City in the very early 1970's, but had elected to return to Marion where she stayed until 1980. At that time she and her son came back to Miles City, where she stayed until she passed away. During the last 24 years that she was in Miles City, Becky first married Donnie Pyle, but had been married , to her husband, Larry Ruiz for many years.
With an employment history that was wide and varied, Becky was a hard working, no nonsense lady. Over the years she had worked at Gallaghers, The Innovation Cafe, The Cellar, The Cadillac, The Olive, but most of her years here were spent working at the Flying J Restaurant.

She had a very strong sense of family values and took care of her nephew Ronnie Guldborg after her mother and step father passed away.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Ben Rentschler Sr., her mother Bertha Guldborg, her stepfather, Ken Guldborg, her brother, Ron Rentschler and her sister, Bonnie Winkley. Her survivors include her husband, Larry Ruiz of Miles City, her son Jeremy Hawkins of Miles City, her brother, Ben Rentschler of Miles City, a nephew Ronnie Guldborg of Miles City, a niece, Tansen Winkey of Billings and a vast multitude of friends who will never forget her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 in the chapel in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Custer County cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
