Sally L. Trenkle
HUSON - Sally L. Trenkle, 66, of Huson, passed away of heart failure on Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
She was born June 9, 1933, in Okmulgee, Okla., to Eliza A. and Sarah E. Wilkey Weaver. On Feb. 3, 1967, she married
Daniel Trenkle in Winterhaven, Calif.
Her hobbies included crocheting, shopping and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Raymond Witherwax and sisters May Shoemake and Gladys Dean.
Survivors include her husband Daniel Trenkle Sr. of Huson; three sons, Daniel Trenkle Jr. and wife, Angel, of Huson, and William O. and Curtis J. Witherwax, both of Oklahoma; sister Della Counts of Lancaster, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Garden City Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held on Wednesday at noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
Geneva Hetherington
LIBBY - Geneva Hetherington, 83, of Libby, died of natural causes Sunday, Nov. 21, at the Libby Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1959 and daughter Joyce in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Dunham of Libby and Gilda Halpin and husband, Ben, of Gladwin, Mich.; and six grandchildren and their spouses, Robert and Glenda Dunham of Oceanside, Calif.; Daniel and Holly Dunham of San Diego; Robyn and Kurtis Paulson of Bozeman; Eryn Dunham of Lancaster, Calif.; Adam and Cordonna Halpin of Livonia, Mich.; and Richard Halpin of Kalamazoo, Mich.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
Fred Arthur Searles
POLSON - Fred Arthur Searles, 88, of Polson, died of natural causes Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at a Polson nursing home.
Born Feb. 19, 1911, in Devils Lake, N.D., he moved to Great Falls in 1912 and grew up there. He was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1975. In 1978 he moved to Polson.
On Feb. 13, 1937, he married
F. Agatha "Peggy" Matthews.
He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite, Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Great Falls and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Polson. He was the 1998 Senior of the Year in Polson. His hobbies included woodworking.
Survivors include his wife Peggy of Polson; daughter Susan Seniawski of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and two grandchildren, Barbara Seniawski of New York City and David Seniawski of Detroit.
A sister and brother preceded him in death.
At his request, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chapel of Chimes in Great Falls.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church or to the Polson Senior Citizens Center.
Fern L. Peck
LIBBY - Fern L. Peck, 76, of Libby, died of natural causes Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her brother Howard Yaple and sisters Hazel Felix and Lois Yaple.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Peck of Libby and Tom Peck of San Diego; two daughters, Connie Peck Youso and husband, Dan, of Portland, Ore., and Cathy Waylett of Libby; two sisters, Helen Hench of Rouge River, Ore., and Jeanne Dutton of Vadnais, Minn.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, at Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at the Libby Methodist Church with interment at the City of Libby cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Libby Food Pantry, where Fern volunteered for over 20 years.
A.E. 'Toddy' Paulson
LAKESIDE - A.E. "Toddy" Paulson, 81, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home in Lakeside.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and two half sisters.
Toddy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maxine Paulson of Lakeside; three daughters, Bonnie Smith and husband, Carl, of Salt Lake City; Connie Whiteman of Spokane; and Donna Paulson of Great Falls; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Lakeside Chapel.
The family suggests memorials in his name to Shodair Children's Hospital, to a hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary & Crematory in Kalispell.
Jerold J. Wallendal
JENS - Jerold J. Wallendal, 55, of Jens, died at his home Saturday morning, Nov. 20, 1999.
He was born July 13, 1944, in Beaver Dam, Wis., to John and Bernice Wallendal. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School and later enlisted in the Air Force. Upon his discharge he returned to Beaver Dam and became a general contractor. He moved to Montana over 20 years ago and was a land developer in the Jens area.
Survivors include his parents, John and Bernice, and brother Jim Wallendal, all of Beaver Dam.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Montana and Wisconsin.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
