Bennie G. Davis
Bennie George Davis, 80, of Bozeman died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001. He was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Yakima, Wash., to Newton and Nona Davis.
After high school Bennie worked for the Forest Service. He joined the Marine Corps, serving from 1942 to 1945. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve for Korea and served from 1948 to 1952.
He was a Bozeman police officer for 20 years and a Gallatin County sheriff's deputy for 15 years, retiring in 1982.
Bennie loved camping, being with family, and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Davis of Bozeman; daughter, Terri Bradley of Bozeman; son, Dennis Davis of Helena; brother, Earl Davis of Washington; and eight grandchildren.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna DeHaan; sister, Dora Goodman; brother, Bill Davis; and grandson, William Bradley.
At his request, no services are planned. Cremation has taken place.
D. Dean Fields
D. Dean Fields, age 32, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 8, 2001. He was born in Anaheim, Calif., on June 16, 1969, to Dennis and Susan (Marco) Fields.
Dean married
Melanie (Windham) at Lake Tahoe in October of 1991. In 1994 they moved from Atascadero, Calif., to Bozeman, where he worked for Darigold Dairy for seven years. He loved softball, hunting, fishing, running hound dogs and four-wheeling.
Dean is survived by his wife, Melanie Fields, of Belgrade; sons, Zachary Dean and Denver Wayne Fields, both of Belgrade; mother and father, Susan and Dennis Fields, of Atascadero, Calif.; sister Kathi Costa and family of Pasa Robles, Calif.; mother and father-in-law, Aleece and Hugh Windham, of Bozeman; brother-in-law, Brent Windham, of Bozeman; and many dear friends.
A celebration of Dean's life was held Monday at the softball complex on Haggerty Lane.

B. Doreen Frost
B. Doreen Frost, 68, of Bozeman, died Friday morning at the Billings Deaconess Hospital. She was born July 4, 1933 in Ellensburg, Wash., the daughter of Johnnie William and Barbara Lenora (Smith) Davidson. Doreen spent her earlier years in Ellensburg until she and her family moved to Redding, Calif. Doreen was educated in Redding, where she worked as a dental assistant for several years.
Doreen was united in marriage to Floyd Frost on Jan. 1, 1963 in Reno, Nev. Following their marriage Floyd brought her to Missoula. The couple moved to Bozeman in 1965.
Besides caring for her family, Doreen was a caregiver to several elderly people. Her family was her great joy; she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was on many bowling leagues in town.
Doreen enjoyed her friends, especially her lunch bunch that faithfully met for lunch every Friday.
Survivors include her husband Floyd Frost of Bozeman; her son and daughter-in-law Barry and Toni Frost of Belgrade; her daughter and son-in-law Gay Lynn and Joe Hayes of Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren Becki Frost, Ashley, Victoria and Drew Hayes.
Her parents and her brother Harlan preceded her in death.
At her request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place.

Wilma Clara Morgan
Wilma Clara Morgan, 81, formerly of Bozeman, died August 12, 2001. She died at the Kootenai Transitional Care Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
She was born June 22, 1920 in Helena to Peter and Libby Hartman. The family moved to Bozeman where she attended Holy Rosary grade school and graduated from Holy Rosary High School in 1938.
Upon graduation, she was employed at J.C. Penney. On Aug. 31, 1941, she married
Robert C. Morgan of Bozeman. After completion of her husband's military service, the couple returned to Bozeman where they lived for the next 31 years.
Wilma became well known in the area as an expert drapery seamstress, working initially for Dixon's Paint and Draperies and later for Vaughn's Furniture Store.
While living in Bozeman, her interests included church activities and a number of outdoor sports, including cross-country skiing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking and biking. Some of her fondest activities were camping excursions with her family, friends and neighbors.
In 1976, Wilma and Bob moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho and built a beautiful retirement home on the lake at Sandy Cove. Wilma continued her career making draperies for Smitty's of Coeur d'Alene and later formed her own business, Morgan Draperies.
Wilma and Bob made many new friends through their business contacts and being an acrive member of Compassionate Friends and attending Bible Study Fellowship.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Bob, of Hayden Lake, Idaho; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Idelle Morgan of Missoula, and daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Dan Judge of Farmington, Mo., and Rita and Don Mell of Mill Creek, Wash.
Their youngest child, Robert James "Bobby" Morgan, died at the age of five.
Wilma truly enjoyed her grandchildren, Jaclyn Manning Morgan, Aaron Judge, Andrea Bennett, Danette Miller, Scott Mell and Kevin Mell; her five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be held 1 p.m. Friday, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Sarah Edna Colbern
Sarah Edna Colbern, 95, died Aug. 2, 2001, in Arlington, Wash. She was born Aug. 13, 1905, in Lewistown, Fulton County, Ill., to George Jacob and Mary Jane Gouker.
Her parents moved to Gallatin Valley in 1915, and she graduated from Bozeman High School in 1923.
She married
Kenneth Raymond Colbern Aug. 18, 1923, and they were later divorced.
Sarah was active with Grand Avenue Christian Church and Eastern Star.
In 1948, she moved to Washington to be near her family.
She is survived by her three daughters and their families: Okarche Mae (Glenn) Vogel of Bozeman, Marietta Jo (Robert) Roth of Arlington, Wash., and Barbara Jean (Tom) Mosher of Colbert, Wash.
Graveside services were held Aug. 8 in Everett, Wash.
