Thomas Jones
B: October 28, 1955
D: Sept. 1, 2008
At the age of 52, Thomas Michael Jones of Polson, MT, died of natural causes at his home in Polson on September 1, 2008. Tom was born to Jim and Clara (Kubas) Jones on October 28, 1955 in Glendive, MT. The family moved to Polson in the late '50's.
Growing up, Tom went through the Polson school system graduating from Polson High School in 1973. Along with his schoolwork, Tom excelled in football, wrestling, and baseball. He later went on to the Great Falls Business College and the Flathead Valley Community College studying a business administration curriculum.
After returning home to work in the family business, Tom met his wife Rosanne in Polson. They were married on August 18, 1978 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Polson. They have one son, Michael. After living at a home in Pablo for 12 years, he and the family moved into town to a house near the golf course.
In Polson, the family owned and operated the Pondera Bar and Restaurant. As with all family businesses, Tom grew up working in the business and later helped take over operating the family business. The bar and restaurant was owned and operated in the Jones family for 37 years.
After his time working in the bar and restaurant business, Tom was a casino manager for the Town Pump organization for four years. He opened and managed casinos in Whitefish, Ronan, and Polson. Tom recently made a career change to become a mortician in his late 40's. In 2004, he started working at Grogan Funeral Home in Polson while going through school on-line full-time during his nights and weekends. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and most recently became fully licensed through the state on April 15, 2008 as a mortician. Although Tom grew up in the bar and restaurant business, this profession seemed to suit him perfectly. Along with his incredible network of friends and family, his kind demeanor and overall character made him a perfect fit for his new found passion.
Tom had many passions including sports (including coaching and officiating), cooking, traveling, hunting, and being with friends and family. He genuinely loved people, and as a mortician he felt that helping a family through this trying time was the 'last kind thing he could do for the person and their family'. His easygoing manner and contagious smile will be missed.
Tom was a member of the Polson City Council, Ward II; served as a fireman in the Polson Volunteer Fire Department; member of the Parish Council and Finance Council at Immaculate Conception Church; member of the Knights of Columbus where he has held all offices at the local level and has served also at the state level; and was a Fourth Degree Knight.

D: September 13th, 2008
Beloved Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend Richard "Dick" Lee Moulton 62 of, Camas Prairie, went to be with his Ancestors on the beautiful early fall afternoon of Saturday September 13th, 2008. Dick had just recently been diagnosed with cancer; the Creator took him early so as to save this courageous man from the pain that this sickness is known to cause. Born on November 29th, 1945 in Grants Pass, Oregon, to Goldie Garcia and Father Derwin "Mickey" DuMont whom preceded him in death. Dick was fortunate to be born into a large family, which reaches from Oregon, Washington. Dick shall always be well known for his hard working nature, a very hard working man with a heart and soul larger than most. In his early years in Montana he was a successful logging man whom employed many, most who would go onto become lifelong friends after the job was done. Dick was a "Jack of All Trades, " however most known for his mastery of telling tales to whomever had the time to pull up a chair and listen; in his later years Dick was also known for the many treasures he sold out of the "Sale Barn" which he loved to spend any spare moment cultivating the showcase of the many treasures he had for sale. And one could never speak of the early days of the Upper Miller Creek Raceway without mention of Dick Moulton's car #149 As he always poured his full heart into any endeavor he approached, racing was no different and went on to become a passion he loved. Dick had many trophies to show for his accomplishments, and shall always be remembered in racing circles. Dick was also a very proud member the of the United States Air Force, from which he was honorably Discharged in 1966 after 4 gallant years of service. Dick fell in love early in life and married Rosemary "Penny" Gardipe Moulton, Penny preceded Dick in death in 1981. He met Carole Finley, to which two beautiful sons were born. As the Gardipe family is a large and loving family, with hearts bigger than the Missions, Dick later met and married Linda Gardipe Moulton in 2001, Linda resides in the family home on Camas Prairie where she will fondly remember Dick, and perhaps become the new "Store Keeper" of the Sale Barn. His family hiked into the Mission Mountains to spread his ashes, on the 'Angels Staircase, ' through the McDonald Lake area. Thomas A. 'Tom' O'Halloran
B: February 14, 1917
D: November 11, 2008
Thomas Ambrose O'Halloran, 91, Dr. Tom O'Halloran died peacefully in Polson, with his family all around him, on November 11, 2008. He is survived by his brothers, Father Alfred O'Halloran of Galway and Dr. Albert O'Halloran and his wife Patricia of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and his sisters, Bella Glynn and Imelda O'Halloran of Galway. Tom received his schooling in Galway and as a young man, rowed on the Irish rowing team that took the National Championship. He received his medical degree from the National University of Ireland in 1945 and after completing his internship in Nottingham, he entered the Royal Navy as a surgeon Lieutenant. He served in Malta, Great Yarmouth and Cornwall, England. After resigning from the Navy, Tom completed an internship in gynecology and obstetrics in Ipswich and a year of general practice in Kent. The couple then emigrated to Plains, Montana, living and practicing there for three years before moving to Polson, where Tom was a general practitioner until he retired in 1989. Tom loved working at Grandview Clinic and St. Joseph Hospital just as much as he was loved by his colleagues and staff.
