Raymond H. Woodard
Raymond H. Woodard, 84, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away June 20, 2013, at home due to dementia, surrounded by family members.
Born in Chestnut Mount, Tenn., Raymond and his wife Bobbie spent a number of years living in Lakeland and Lake Wales before moving to Spokane, Wash., in 1970 and Rexford in 2000.
They were snowbirds during the winter in Lakeland before moving back in 2010. Raymond had retired in 2000 from the rental real estate business, had worked as a manager for Table Supply, which became Winn-Dixie, and was the owner of Fine Art, Rug and Carpet in Lake Wales.
He was a member of the Chapel of Praise, Church of God in Eureka, and was an attendee of Abundant Life Church of God in Lakeland.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie; son Darrell and wife Grace; two daughters: Linda Green and husband Richard, Patricia Gunther and husband Robert; brother Larry Woodard and wife Sue; six sisters: Opal Dansby and husband James; Reatha McLeod and husband Clinton; Sue Platt and husband Ray; Doris Williams and husband Rodney; Lillie Alverson and husband Clarence; Jewel Kinser and husband Irvin; two sisters-in-law: Vyrda Woodard and Lenora Woodard; six grandchildren; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, R.L. and Jason Woodard.
Funeral services were June 26 at Abundant Life Church in Lakeland, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Praise, Church of God on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 11 a.m.
The family has requested that donations in Raymond’s memory be made to the Chapel of Praise, 6474 Hwy 93 S., Eureka, MT 59917.
Carol Pinson
Carol Kathleen Burch Pinson, 72, passed away July 2, 2013, at her home in Eureka, attended by her sisters Beatrice and Patricia.
Carol was born Aug. 15, 1940, at Eureka, to Tom and Lucille (Holder) Burch. Carol was the ninth child to join the happy household.
She spent the majority of her life in Eureka, where she completed school and used her expertise in her business of real estate. She was known throughout the community as one who was industrious and who could be counted on in business dealings.
Carol was also instrumental in developing land. Some of the sidelines that Carol enjoyed and excelled in were horsemanship and rodeo. Horses were her great love, and she took great pride in the care of her animals.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Tom, and mother, Lucille; two brothers, Tommy and Jerry Burch; four sisters, Jean Lambert, Helen Knight, Rosella Roberts Bond, Thelma Ness; and Joe Pinson.
Survivors include her sisters Beatrice Helton of Lenoir, N.C., and Patricia Chalcraft of Albany, Ore.; and her children Jada, Judd, and Floyd Pinson.
Carol was loved and cared for by many family members and friends and will always be a part of their lives.
During her illness, Carol was cared for by Gail Butchart, Sherry Chalcraft, Bennie and Tina Owen, and special friends Cindra and Debbie. The family would like to thank all who loved and cared for Carol throughout this challenging time.
Graveside services for Carol were held Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Tobacco Valley cemetery in Eureka.
Arrangements were by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home of Eureka.
Margaret “Peg” McMarrell
Margaret “Peg” McMarrell passed away from her early life into eternal life on June 10, 2013, at the age of 91.
Peg was born Jan. 8, 1922, to Edward and Mary Ley in Kendallville, Ind. She worked as a waitress while in high school and a comptometer operator for General Electric after graduation, and later in the high school study hall in Eureka. Being a mother and housewife were her first love.

for 54 years. After 20 years of travelling with the Air Force, they retired to Eureka and built their home on Glen Lake.
Peg was very involved with her church and enjoyed bowling, gardening, crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, swimming, sewing, knitting, hunting, fishing and singing in the church choir.
Peg was deeply loved and will be dearly missed and remembered by all. Her children and grandchildren are forever blessed by her presence and eternally honored by her legacy.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband, and son Curt.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia Wilondek; daughter Mary Etta and Bob Fothergill; grandchildren Ryan and Karen Fothergill, Melissa and AJ Sichting, Jordan McMarrell, Nick McMarrell, Lance McMarrell; step-grandson Russ Fothergill; and great-grandchildren Amy, Jeffrey, and Molly Margaret.
The family would like to acknowledge Stephanie and her staff at St. Mary’s for the wonderful care she received over the last 3½ years since her stroke. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to the American Life League or Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
Mass of the Resurrection was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Parish vigil and rosary were held Sunday, June 16, from 1-6 p.m. with Rosary at 6 p.m. at the church.

Brad Johnson
Brad Johnson, 63, passed away at his home in Rexford on Sept. 22, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born May 20, 1950, in Pasadena, Calif., to Jean and Harold Johnson
He was a loving husband, son and father and will be missed by his family, friends and hunting partners.
Brad’s passion was hunting and fishing, which brought him to the beautiful state of Montana. He enjoyed numerous adventures to Africa, the Amazon, and marlin fishing in Mexico, as well as vacation travels to Tahiti, Costa Rica, Britain, the Caribbean and Hawaii.
Brad retired from the County of San Bernardino, Calif., Probation Department after 33 years of service.
He is survived by wife Debbie; mother Jean; daughter Erica; and stepchildren Tim, Dean and Sarah.
The family would like to thank his friends, family and neighbors for their support, prayers and encouragement during his battle with cancer over these past years.
Private family services are being held.

John Michael Brawn
John Michael Brawn, 80, passed away Sept. 10, 2013, at his home in Grasmere, British Columbia. A celebration of life will be held Oct. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Senior Citizens Center in Eureka.
John was born June 19, 1933, in Rushden, England. He was one of two children, along with a twin sister, born to Leonard and Florance May Brawn.
He lived in Rushden, England, until age 15. He moved to Piapot, Saskatchewan, Canada, to be a ranch hand and worked different jobs until he moved to Grasmere. In 1965, he worked at McDonald Ranch, then at McDonald Lumber Mill for 45 years.
John married
Betty Chernishnuk Nov. 16, 1963. They had two children, Douglas Ross and Debra Dawn. They divorced in 1985. He married
Diane Foose on Oct. 21, 1989.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son Douglas Ross; and brother-in-law Danny Foose of Stockton, Calif.
Survivors include his wife Diane of Grasmere; daughter Gail Johnson of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Canada; Debra Szots and husband Dave of Grasmere; twin sister Jill Anderson and her children Michael, Sally and June; seven nieces and nephews in England; brother-in-law Dick Foose and his wife Darcia of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Dave Foose of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister-in-law Debbie Eckles of Stockton, Calif.
John enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, camping, road trips and shopping. He was always helping someone and was notorious for playing pranks.
Ever remembered and loved, sadly missed by Diane, Betty, Debra and Gail.
Ronald W. Sperandeo
With heavy hearts, our family now informs all that Ronald W. Sperandeo has been called by God on Sept. 23, 2013.
Ronald’s belief to always serve others was shown throughout his life.
He helped not only his cherished family and friends; he served all through his public service. His service included: The 822nd Military Police Unit-retired; the Hoffman Estates Police Department; the Trego/Fortine/Styker Fire Department; the American Legion; and the Barnaby Lake Homeowners Association.
Ronald, born June 12, 1939, is survived by wife, Florence Sperandeo; children Dawn Kirch; William Sperandeo; John Sperandeo; Shari Sperandeo-Bell; 14 grand children and five great grand children.
Now Ronald, “Top,” will serve God, just as he has served us.
Services are Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. at Chapel of Praise and 11 a.m. at the Tobacco Valley cemetery with a meal following at the Chapel of Praise.
Lawrence Earl Oman
Lawrence Earl Oman, 88, a resident of Portland, Ore., died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at his home.
Military honors and graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Willamette National cemetery in Portland.
Lawrence was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Leavenworth, Wash. He was one of five children born to Oscar and Ella Mae (Leonard) Oman.
He lived in Eureka and moved to Everett, Wash., at age 10. There he began working to help his family, and he attended school at Everett High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and served his country as a combat infantryman under General George S. Patton, seeing action in three major battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Lawrence married
Margaret Alice Cooper in 1951 at Stevenson, Wash. They made their home in Portland.
He was the golf course superintendent at Alderwood Country Club until it was purchased by the Port of Portland for the construction of Portland International Airport. He survived the Vanport flood of 1948. He worked as a warehouse manager for Paper Mills Agency for over 20 years.
Lawrence enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was an avid gardener and was a very meticulous man. He always looked forward to family gatherings and holidays.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Margaret; daughter Lisa Oman; son-in-law Austin Climenson; and brothers Wayne and Dale Oman.
Survivors include his four children and their spouses: Julie Climenson, Daniel and Cathy Oman, of Portland, Ore.; Laurie and Michael Lux of Hillsboro, Ore.; Samuel and Yazmin Oman of Lynnwood, Wash.; two siblings: Karl Oman, Marie and Robert Oman; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family suggests donations in Lawrence’s name to Disabled American Veterans.
Donald John Fornall
Donald John Fornall of Rexford passed away peacefully in his home on Sept. 15, 2013.
Don was born in Glendive, Mont., on Sept. 12, 1929, to Margret Haggerty-Fornall and John Fornall.
He graduated from Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Mont. He played baseball for the Great Falls Electrics and served in the Air Force, stationed in Japan during the Korean War, before he married
Charlotte Dahl of Fairfield in November of 1953. He went on to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the AAA farm league in Carlsbad, N.M. His daughter, Gwen Fornall-Grayson, was born in Carlsbad on March 30, 1954.
He graduated from the University of Montana in 1958. During his college tenure, he played both basketball and baseball for the Montana Grizzlies.
Upon graduation, he and his family moved to St. Regis, Mont., where he had his own hunting, packing and guiding business. He then moved back to Great Falls to work in construction and the stock yards.
In 1963, he and his family moved to the Browning area, where they settled for 22 years. He worked in construction, taught school, coached sports, shod horses, and team roped in rodeos. He eventually became superintendent of the Heart Butte Schools. In addition, he ran the War Bonnet Lodge and a recycling business.
Although it was difficult to leave his many treasured family and friends, he and his wife Charlotte moved to Rexford to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren in 1985. They bought the Frontier Bar. In 1987, Charlotte passed away. Don continued to run the Frontier with his daughter Gwen and her husband Terry. In his spare time, he worked in the woods, roped when he had the time, developed a motocross track, and enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoy life.
He is survived by his daughter Gwen Grayson and her husband Terry Grayson. They have six children and their spouses: Dawn Fornall, Stephanie and Chad Utter, Charli and Justin Chapman, Jonni Fornall and Robert Paulk, Grady Grayson, and Jayci Grayson.
He was blessed with 10 great grandchildren; Alicia Peacock, Alaina Peacock, Charlaine Utter, Terrin Utter, Riley Chapman, Cayli Chapman, Camryn Chapman, Brody Chapman, Donovan Fornall, and Cooper Fornall.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all his friends and family who have blessed our lives through all these years. We welcome you to attend a memorial service to be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Rexford City Park directly behind the Frontier Bar in Rexford. A potluck reception will follow at the Frontier Bar.
