Martin Wald
Memorial services for Martin J. Wald, 73, of Las Vegas, Nev., were held Tuesday morning, Jan. 25, 2005, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Las Vegas.
Mr. Wald died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, in a Las Vegas hospital.
He was born in Strasburg, N.D., on Sept. 15, 1931, to George Wald Sr. and Mary Volk Wald.
Mr. Wald was a resident of Las Vegas for 27 years. He retired from the United States Navy and served during the Korean and Vietnam wars.
His survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Agnes Wald; two daughters, Susan Smith and Deborah Boatwright of Pasadena, Calif.; three grandchildren; a brother, George (Mollie) Wald of Great Falls; a sister, Katie (Fred) Dyba of Billings; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anthony "Tony" Josephy Cadlo
Funeral services for Anthony "Tony" Joseph Cadlo, 60, of Pine Haven, Wyo., former Miles City resident, were Monday morning, March 28, 2005, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Moorcroft, Wyo. Pastor Guille Seigler officiated. Military honors were conducted at the Moorcroft Cemetery with the Moorcroft Veterans of Foreign Wars Post number 8473.
Mr. Cadlo died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at his home in Pine Haven after an extended illness.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1944, the son of Joseph John and Phyllis Ryan Cadlo, in Minneapolis, Minn. His father taught in several towns before moving the family to Miles City in 1961. Mr. Cadlo graduated from high school at Miles City in 1963.
He then served his country in the United States Navy from June 26, 1964, until June 11, 1968. After his enlistment he attended Miles Community College where he obtained his associates degree. Mr. Cadlo also played basketball while attending college.
He moved to Orange County, California, as a manager of Thrifty Drug and later moved back to Miles City in 1976 where he was the assistant manager of Super America.
Mr. Cadlo moved to Clovis, N.M., where he worked as a farm hand. He moved to Gillette, Wyo., in 1981 working as a field supervisor for Pinkerton Security. He made his final move to Pine Haven in 1989.
He and Maxlyn "Mackie" Schoolcraft were married on May 28, 1999.
Mr. Cadlo worked at the mines (Triton Coal-Buckskin Mine) from 1981 until 2002 when he retired. He was buoyed and supported by his loving wife and family during a strong and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Cadlo was surrounded by his family and friends at the time of his death.
He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hunting, camping, the Denver Broncos, playing the trumpet, sports of all types and spending time with his wife.
His survivors include his wife, Maxlyn "Mackie" Cadlo of Pine Haven; mother, Phyllis Cadlo of Billings; his sons, Duane (Rinda) Morgan of Miles City, Nathan Cadlo of Pahrump, Nev., and Richard (Gelena) Wiberg of Gillette, Wyo.; his daughters, Andrea (Andy) Schoembs of Laguna Beach, Calif., Beverly (Kevin) Augustine-Boudreaux of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Savanah Sage Wolff of Pine Haven.
Survivors also include his brothers, Mitch (Laurie) Cadlo of Omaha, Neb., and Kurt (Sondi) Cadlo of Billings; his sister, Hilary (Denny) DeLao of Rapid City, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial has been established in Mr. Cadlo's name to benefit the Pine Haven Fishing Association.

Betsy Ann Williams
Betsy Ann Williams, age 75, of Broadus, MT passed away on March 22, 2005 in Billings.
Mrs. Williams was born on March 26, 1929 on a homestead south of Gillette, Wyo. to William John and Gertrude Cordelia (Thrush) Pettibone. She attended a country school South of Gillette until the family moved to Ranch Creek, Montana in 1939, where she attended school. On September 15, 1948, she married Wade Williams and they lived in Belle Creek area until 1953 when they moved to the ranch house on the Little Powder River south of Broadus. Her and her husband ranched their whole lives and raised their five children.
Mrs. Williams enjoyed music, sewing, quilting, dancing, gardening, cooking and baking, playing cards, spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her five children; Cap (Cathy Ruland) Williams of Broadus; Virginia Williams of Gillette, Wyo.; Dixie (Ted Vore) Williams of Belle Fourche, SD; Suzie Gutz of Belle Creek; Lacy (Dana) Williams of Broadus; two sisters Doris Jones of Miles City and Mary Gregg of Melstone; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend, Roy Carrico. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Gertrude Pettibone, her brothers Ivan, Harold, and Walter Pettibone, sisters Dora and Alice, her husband Wade Williams, grandson Kable Williams and son-in-law Mark Gutz.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.

Patrick Ralph Lantis
Patrick Ralph Lantis, age 49, of Miles City passed away on March 24, 2005 at Holy Rosary Health Center Extended Care in Miles City.
Mr. Lantis was born on February 14, 1956 to Robert and Marcie (Rogge) Lantis in Coeurdalene, ID. The family moved south of Miles City in 1960 and where he attended first and second grade. The family moved to Fallon in 1963 to farm and he attended Yale School for two years before moving to Shirley, in the spring of 1964, to the Kafell ranch. He finished his schooling in the Terry public schools.
After graduation, he married Roxann Stroh on June 1, 1975. Together they moved to Fallon, MT where they were blessed with two children. They then moved onto Casper, WY where he worked for AMF Tubascope. The family moved back to Terry in 1980, where he remained working for AMF Tubascope. In 1981, they were blessed with another child. In 1982, he began working for Fluss Ranch in Terry. The following year the family would have the last of four children. In 1985, he began working for Trinity Rail Car service. The family moved to Miles City where they have made their home since.
Mr. Lantis enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, Demolition Derby. He also enjoyed racing drag strip cars, raising his garden and working on his vehicles. Pat enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Lantis is survived by his wife Roxann, two sons; Brandon (Jennifer) Lantis of Moore, OK, and Shawn Lantis of Miles City, two daughters; Erin (fianc Eric) Lantis of Miles City and Amy Beyl of Miles City, two brothers; Bruce Lantis (Miki) of Terry and Mike Lantis of Miles City, a sister; GayLynne (Jeff) Ullerich of Lynnwood, WA, his father, Robert Lantis of Terry, and six grandchildren; Karli Beyl, Chase Beyl, Kylan Beyl, Dylan Lantis, Jayson Lantis and Morgan Lantis. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery.

Frank Jones
Frank Jones, age 67, of Miles City, passed away on March 24, 2005 at the VA Nursing Home in Miles City.
Mr. Jones was born on July 8, 1937 in Martinez, Calif. to Aaron and Daisey (Bright) Jones. He attended schools in Richmond, Calif. where he graduated from High School. He enlisted in the United States Air force in 1954 where he served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1958. He returned to Richmond, Calif. where he went to work with his dad in his welding shop.
In 1964, he met Naomi Tellas in Oakland, and on October 21, 1964, they were married. They lived in Richmond for a short while before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1968 where he worked at Hill Air Force Base and later in the Oil Field as a driller.
In 1965, he worked as an iron worker and worked on building several bridges in the San Francisco Bay area. He later went to college for two years and then worked in the V.A. Office as a claims officer in Miles City. In 1988, they moved to Miles City where they have resided since.
Mr. Jones loved to fish, going camping, and enjoyed history. Enjoyed having his grandchildren around him. He was a member of the DAV, VFW, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Naomi of Miles City, two daughters; Nancy Taylor, Shawna Bivens and son John D. Jones all of Miles City and step-son Jeffery Barber of Seattle, Wash., one sister; Nancy Lovett of Orange County, Calif. and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nadine Stanley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church in Miles City. Interment will follow at the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery in Miles City with full Military Honors.
If friends should desire, memorials may be made to the V.A. Nursing Home or to the charity of ones choice.
