Stan Pyron
Stan Pyron passed away on Feb. 21, 2003, at age 71. Stan was born on Jan. 8, 1932, in Monterey Park, Calif. A memorial service will be held at the Florence Carlton Community Church Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 11a.m. located at 20075 Old Hwy 93 near Carlton Creek Road. Driving south on U.S. 93 take Carlton Creek Road, which is about about three miles north of Florence. Lunch will follow at the church. If friends should desire, memorials may be made to Florence-Carlton Community Church or Hospice, or The Forest Stewardship Foundation or the American Cancer Society. The Whitesitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Jack Clem Speth
Jack Clem Speth, 59, of Hamilton and Darby passed away April 4, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, at 1 p.m. at the Darby Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Bishop Jeff Hays officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Jack Speth Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1855, Hamilton, Mont. 59840.
Jacob C. Van Brunt
Jacob C. Van Brunt, 85, of Hamilton passed away Monday, April 7, 2003, in Missoula at St. Patrick's Hospital.
Arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
Mary Miller Dolack
Mary Miller Dolack, 87, of Stevensville, died on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in Missoula at the Riverside Health Care Center.
Mary was born on Feb. 11, 1915, in Neosho, Mo., and was the daughter of Jerry and Etta Miller.
Survivors include her children, Monte and Marlene, whose artistic talents she proudly enjoyed; daughter-in-law Mary Beth Percival and son-in-law Anthony Acerrano, whom she always treated with affection, kindness and love; a brother and sister-in-law, Forrest and Orpha Miller of Chillicothe, Mo.; sister-in-law, Fern Miller of Joplin, Mo.; stepsons, Bob and Bill Dolack of Louisville, Ky.; sisters-in law, Kate Dolack and Dorothy Dolack of Great Falls; brother-in-law, Frank Dolack and his wife Rose of Las Vegas, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the Stevensville United Methodist Church, on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Vicki Horn officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Whitesitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Stevensville.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
Daisy Mae Buckallew Jones
Daisy Mae Buckallew Jones, 60, of Clarkston, Wash., and former Stevensville resident died at her home on May 30, 2002.
She was born on March 18, 1942, in Hamilton and was the daughter of Eugene and Sarilda Buckallew.
She graduated from Stevensville High School in 1962. She worked for Fairway Cleaners in 1993 and was a Home Health Caregiver from 1996-2001. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Aux in Lewiston, Idaho, and other Eagles Lodges from 1971 to 2002.
She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Buckallew and brother Roy Buckallew and a nephew Jerramy Stroud.
Survivors include two sons, Clark Alan Jones of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bradley Jones of Corvallis; one daughter, Rachel E. Campbell of Lewiston, Idaho; her mother Sarilda Buckallew, sister Ella Buckallew and brother Delmar Buckallew all of Stevensville; four grandchildren, Brant Jones of Corvallis, Ore., Dallas Jones of Denver, Colo., Shane Jones of Corvallis, and Jerica Mae Campbell of Lewiston, Idaho.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to "Make A Wish Foundation for Children"
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, 1 p.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery in Stevensville. The Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville is in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis Bean Ellsworth
The family of Phyllis Bean Ellsworth said goodbye to her on Friday Sept. 27. 2002, in Helena. She had been ill for a short time and died of natural causes due to her age. She moved to Helena in February of this year from Hamilton where she had lived for the past 12 years.
She was the eldest child of Harold M. and Florence Bean. She was born on June 7, 1919, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and grew up in Sugar City, Idaho. While attending college she was introduced to her future husband, George R. Ellsworth of Lewisville, Idaho.
Phyllis and George were married on March 7, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple.
They spent their married life farming in Lewisville, Tendoy, Corvallis and finally in Lemhi, Idaho where they had a cattle ranch. Phyllis was an active partner and worker on the ranch along with raising five children - George Ronald, Dubois, Wyo., Janet, Evanston, Ill., Diana Lynne and husband Steve of Helena, Rebecca and husband Terry of Lolo, and Stephen Blair and wife Cindy of Pocatello, Idaho. Phyllis had 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing to meet with her family at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg on Wednesday Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. with a service to follow at 1 p.m. She will be buried next to her parents in the Sugar City Cemetery.
Edward A. Adams
Edward A. Adams, 54, of Hamilton, passed from this world to be with our Lord on Friday, Sept. 27, 2002.
Ed was born on Sept. 24, 1948, in Santa Maria, Calif., to Jack and Beverly Adams.
Ed had a great love of the mountains and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He moved to the Bitterroot 12 years ago with his wife and family.
He served two enlistments in the Navy and Special Forces, serving during the Viet Nam War. His most recent business venture was as co-owner of A & E Seafood. He enjoyed helping others especially those with disabilities.
Survivors include his wife, April, and sons Michael, Steven and Joshua; daughters Leila and Peggie. Granddaughter Aurora Lynn.
A reflection and remembrance time will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Ed's home, 66 Bell Lane in Hamilton.
Private family urn placement will take place at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to MDM-Hospice of the Bitterroot, 1200 Westwood Dr., Hamilton Mont., 59840, or to Hunt of a Lifetime, 6297 Buffalo Road, Harbor Creek, Pa., 16421.
Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.

Joann E. Kolski, 69, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002 at her residence in Hamilton.
