Cleo Reichert
Cleo Mary (Mae) Reichert, 82, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at her home in Wolf Point.
She was born on July 7, 1920.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Bill; a daughter-in-law, Pat Reichert; and two grandchildren, Brian Reichert and Chad Reichert.
Survivors include her five children, Bill of Billings, Jim of Astoria, Ore., Mike of Billings, Duane of Champlin, Minn. and Maureen Piersak of Wolf Point; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Eva Johnson
Eva Johnson, 80, a lifetime resident of Wolf Point, died at her home Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Gwen; two sisters, Martha Budke and Lorraine Sherlock; two brothers, Leif and Odin; one great-grandchild; and two step-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Walt, of Wolf Point; daughters, Beverly Evans of Wolf Point, Marlene Gerberding of Billings; Teresa Neutgens and Phyllis Douglas, all of Wolf Point; a son, David "Butch" Grotte of Sheridan, Wyo.; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three step-children, Keith Johnson of Wolf Point, Laurel Schultes of Sturgis, S.D. and Ruth Woehl of Seattle, Wash.; 11 step-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Rusche, Mayme Strom, Ruth Nash and Audrey Iverson; and a brother, Robert "Sonny" Birkland.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolf Point with Rev. Timothy Whiteman officiating.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Daniel Martell Sr.
Daniel Martell Sr., 81, of Wolf Point, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at Trinity Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wolf Point.
Gary Hanson
Gary Hanson, 67, died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Hanson; father-in-law, Willard Orr; brother, Bob Hanson; and niece, Patricia Rusk.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Gary Hanson Jr.; daughters, Deborah Brockington, Nicole, Ashley, Phillip and Mathias Peiffer; and brothers, Melvin and Roy.
William Higgins
William D. "Bill" Higgins, 74, of Billings, died Oct. 20, 2002.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ursula, in 1992; and one brother, Donald.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Barbara of Fermany; three step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosie Goodsell of Columbia Falls and Phyliss Baker of Salt Lake City, Utah. Cremation has taken place.
Nancy Dumont
Nancy Dumont, 66, of Wolf Point, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister; and her brother Bob. She is survived by her sister, Vivian Welliver of Spokane, Wash., Jeannie Reinsloder; brothers, Orin Denny, lyle Denny and Rusty Denny; and a special aunt, Elva DeCelles of Las Vegas.
Vernon Scheer
Vernon D. Scheer, 80, of Circle, died on Jan. 15, 2003, at the Glendive Medical Center of natural causes.
Survivors include his wife, Cloey of Circle; four sons, DeWayne Scheer of Burnsville, Minn., Ordean Scheer of Libby, Alan Scheer of Wolf Point and Daryl Scheer of Circle; one daughter, Leanne McCurdy of Salem, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 20, at the First Lutheran Church in Circle with Rev. David Aaseng officiating.
Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Circle.
Lyle Vandall
Lyle Edward "Francis" Vandall died on Jan. 18, 2002, at his home in Wolf Point.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Pedro and Joe Vandall.
Survivors include his children, Ceceilia Louise Solberg, Lee Eldon Vandall, Kristen Dawn Peters, and Michael Aaron Vandall, all of Wolf Point, and Troy Edward Vandall of Fort Peck; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Edmund "Sonny" Vandall of Lincoln Maine, Eugene "Jinx" Vandall of Wales, Mass., and John Vandall of Winnebago, Neb.; sisters, Delaraine Hauss of Rochester, N.Y., and Mary Anderson of Billings; and a special friend, Tessie Moran of Wolf Point.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wolf Point with Rev. Fr. Steve Zabrocki officiating.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Harry Arthur Anderson
Harry Arthur Anderson, 83, died on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at his home in rural Columbia Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Dorisan; four children, Kandy of Columbia Falls, Eric of Dolan Springs, Ariz., Jule of Libby and Theron of Columbia Falls; two brothers, Robert and Donald; two sisters, Irene Ericson and Huldah Karge; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No public services at his request.
Elmer Hamill
Elmer Hamill, 81, of Cadillac, Mich., formerly of Wolf Point, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Mercy Hospital In Cadillac, Mich.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Marie Hamill of Cadillac, Mich.; a daughter, Cindy Eldridge of Cadillac, Mich.; a son, Terry Hamill of Verona, Wis.; brothers, Walter Hamill of Wichita, Kan., and Derold Hamill of Atwood, Kan.; sisters, LaVerne Rowsey of North Carolina and Velma Moody of Wyoming; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 27, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac, Mich., with Pastor Cathleen Medina officiating.
Colt Radue Burshia
Colt William Radue Burshia, four-month-old infant son of Raymond Burshia Jr. and Sheila A. Radue, died on Jan. 25, 2003, at the Northeast Montana Health Services in Wolf Point.
He was born Sept. 20, 2002, in Glasgow.
Survivors include his mother, Sheila Radue; father, Raymond Burshia; brothers, Samuel Patrick, Lester Menz Jr., Joshua Eagle, Brian Eagle, Jason Radue, Kaghe Burshia; sisters, Leslie Menz and Rainy Burshia; grandparents, Leroy Douglas, Linda Comes last, Kelly and Cindy Radue of Miles City; great-grandparents, William Youngman, Larry Youngman, Mike Youngman, Rita Long Chase and Florence Eagleman, all of Wolf Point and Poplar.
Funeral services were held on Wed., Jan. 29, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kenny Azure officiating.
Interment was in the Box Elder Cemetery in Poplar.
Walter W. Eggebrecht
Walter W. Eggebrecht, 85, of Ronan, Died on Jan. 2, 2003.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva, in 1998; and two sisters, Lottie and Pearl.
He is survived by his children, Mary Snyder of Ronan, Bill Eggebrecht of Kalispell, Johnny Eggebrecht of Round Butte and Jim Eggbrecht of Ronan; a brother, Wilbur of Vida; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Shrider's Mortuary Chapel in Ronan.
