Someone cares and always will
The world forgets but God loves you still
You cannot go beyond His Love
No matter what you're guilty of
For God forgives until the end
He is your faithful, loyal friend
And though you try to hide your face
There is no shelter any place
That can escape his watchful eye
For on the earth and in the sky
He's ever present and always there
To take you in his tender care
And blind the wounds and bend the breaks
When all the world around forsakes
Somebody cares and loves you still
And God is the someone who always will

Joseph Baker Warren
Joseph Baker Warren, a retired colonel, United States Air Force, passed away at home at age 82 on March 22, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Joe was born on Nov. 27, 1921, in Burkeburnette, Texas. He grew up in Texas and at the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army-Air Corps. Joe and his three brothers all served in different branches of the military during World War II. Only Joe and his older brother, Steve, returned home after the war. Joe was stationed in England during the war; he was a highly decorated pilot, flying B-24 Liberator bombers in the 8th Air Force. Whenever he spoke of his brave service to his country, Joe always said "I was just doing my job."
When he returned from England, Joe was stationed in Great Falls, where he met his life-long partner, Theola Morris. They were married
in California on Sept. 29, 1945. Joe served in the Air Force for 30 years. During that time, Joe and Theola and their three children traveled across the United States and to several foreign countries. During his service, Joe was stationed in California, Montana, Texas, Maryland, and Washington, D. C.
When he retired, Joe and Theola built their home in Stevensville, where they lived together for the last 25 years and Joe pursued his avid love of golf.
Joe is survived by his wife, Theola; son, Joe Jr., and his wife, Bobbi, of Laytonsville, Md.; daughter, Margaret, and her husband, Richard, and grandsons, Bryan and Jesse, of Boise, Idaho; son, Sam, and his wife, Diane, and grandsons, Zachary and Joey of Missoula.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Margarette, and his brothers, Sam, Steve, and Fred.
Joe Warren was a war hero and an everyday hero. He was part of the generation of Americans that changed the world. In June, 2002, Joe attended the graduation of his grandson from West Point. There, he was saluted by hundreds of West Point cadets as he made his way to his seat - they knew a hero when they saw one. Later, he advised a new generation of soldiers facing a new war to remember what they had learned, to pay attention, and to come home.
When someone walks the earth with such a great stride and such a brave heart, they are so dearly missed when they depart. We will miss you, Joe.
Urn placement will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Joe's name to the Marcus Daly hospice center or to the Montana Cancer Center.
