Joyce Laurraine Emmick
Joyce Laurraine Emmick, 74, of Billings, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007.
She was born Dec. 30, 1933, in Jackson, Neb. She married
Virgil L. Emmick on April 25, 1951.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Beyer of Arkansas; sons, Robert Emmick of Minnesota and Darrol and Dean Emmick, both of Billings; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were on Jan. 4 at Cremation or Funeral Gallery.
KABLE WILLIAMS
Kable Kain Williams, 19, of Havre, formerly of Broadus, died at his home in Havre on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003.
Visitation will begin on Friday at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Valley View cemetery in Broadus.
Kable was born on Jan. 23, 1984, to Lacy and Starlean (Perkins) Williams in Miles City. He lived on the family ranch south of Broadus and attended schools in Broadus and Miles City. He graduated from Powder River County High School in 2003. After graduation, he moved to Havre where he was working with a roofing crew and planning to attend college.
Kable enjoyed horses, science and technology, working with computers and radios, playing cards, and being with his family. He also enjoyed visiting, fishing, ham radio, and Civil Air Patrol, and artistic hobbies such as woodworking, quilting and drawing.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wade Williams, and a brother, Marc DeLaurier.
Suvivors include his father, Lacy (Dana) Williams of Broadus; mother, Starlean Perkins of Havre; grandparents, Betsy Williams of Broadus, Glenn and LaVerne Perkins of Havre, and Don and Marsha Morrison of Gillette, Wyo.; brothers, Hayden, Charleton and Noah Williams of Broadus, and Kyle, Christian, and Skylar DeLaurier of Havre; sister, Stormi Rae Williams of Havre; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Shiners Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.

Harold Hardt
Harold George Hardt, 86, of Laurel, formerly a farmer near Joliet, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Evergreen Laurel Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Laurel, the son of George and Pauline (Brenning) Hardt.
On Nov. 20, 1945, he married
Mary “Betty” Waltz in Billings.
Mr. Hardt worked for Carbon County running a road grader for a time, but spent the majority of his life working the family farm near Joliet.
He collected miniature tractors and restored antique tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Laurel; a daughter, Barbara Billman of Billings; and a sister, Wilma Tuomi of Billings.
A graveside service and burial of ashes were on Jan. 7 in Joliet cemetery.
Arrangements were in the care of Dahl Funeral and Cremation Service.
ROY LEAMER
Roy A. Leamer, 77, retired machinist from the Burlington Northern Railway, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at a Havre care facility of natural causes.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Highland cemetery with Ila McClenahan officiating.
Roy was born Nov. 30, 1925, to Vernon and Minnie (Binger) Leamer in Spokane, Wash. He attended schools in the Spokane area and completed his education at Roger's High School.
In 1943 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in the South Pacific. While in the Navy, he served aboard the USS Melvin, USS Appalachian and USS Prairie. He was awarded the Pacific Area Campaign Medal with eight stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with two stars, and the World War II Victory Medal.
In 1948 he went to work for the Great Northern Railway in Spokane, Wash. In 1949 he transferred to Havre where he met and married
Marian A. Campbell July 2, 1950.
Roy retired from the railroad in 1990 after 42 years of service.
In his spare time, Roy enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, tying flies, working in his yard, baseball, walking, and especially John Wayne movies.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Minnie (Binger) Leamer; wife, Marian (Campbell) Leamer; and grandson, Brian Fanning.
Survivors include his daughters, Diana (David) Fanning and Kathy (Gary) Couch both of Havre; son, Larry (Karen) Leamer of Graham, Wash.; brother, Lester Leamer of Casa Grande, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre.
Tim Healey
Tim Healey, 86, a retired bank president who was the first president of what is now the Boys and Girls Club, died Dec. 30, 2007.
He was born July 5, 1921, to John and Marguerite Healey in Belt.
After graduating from Gonzaga University he enlisted in the Navy, serving as a submarine warfare specialist in the Pacific Ocean for three years during World War II.
He returned to Spokane, Wash., graduated from Gonzaga University Law School, joined the Washington Bar Association and became a special agent for the FBI.
He graduated from Pacific Coast Banking school and began his career in banking.
In 1963 he returned to Montana with his family and became the head of the Trust Department at Midland Bank.
He retired as president of First Trust Co. in 1983.
He had served as president of both the Advisory Board and Delegated Board of St. Vincent Hospital.
He was instrumental in starting the Boys (and Girls) Club of Yellowstone County in 1971, and served as the first president.
He also served as president of United Neighbors, now the United Way.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sylvia; children, Marilyn Bromiley, Annette Roseborough, Mike Healey, Maureen Earnest and Trish Healey; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Memorial Mass was celebrated Jan. 4 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

Jeffery D. Marsac
Jeffery Dean Marsac, 47, banquet manager at the Holiday Inn Grand Montana, died Jan. 4, 2008.
He was born Oct. 16, 1960, to Neal and Verda Marsac.
He graduated from Billings West High School in 1979 and pursued continuing education classes in marketing, sales and business.
He worked in Montana in the food and beverage industries until 1990, when he moved to Kansas City, Mo.
There he worked for Embassy Suites, Yarbroughs, the Federal Reserve Bank, the Savoy Hotel and as senior manager for Shoal Creek and Hodge Park golf courses.
He married
Christine Reeder on June 6, 1992, and they later divorced.
He returned to Montana in the fall of 2007.
Survivors include his mother, Verda; and siblings, Jinny, Debbie, Bill and Tom.
Services were on Jan. 9 at Mayflower Congregational Church, followed by a reception.
A private family burial was planned.
Arrangements were in the care of Dahl Funeral and Cremation Service.
Bernard H. Prentiss
Bernard H. Prentiss, 93, a carpenter and millwright who was active in fraternal organizations, died Dec. 29, 2007.
Born March 12, 1914, in McCool, Ind., he was the eldest of 11 children of Anna and James Prentiss.
Much of his early childhood was spent with his maternal grandparents.
He graduated from Chesterton High School and married
Annabelle Hughes on July 29, 1937, in Bozeman.
He was a chief petty officer of the Navy during World War II, stationed with a Seabee unit in Okinawa, Japan.
He also worked as a civilian contractor during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Al Bedoo Temple of the Oriental Shrine, Stillwater Masonic Lodge of Columbus 62, Moss Agate Chapter 126 of the Order of Eastern Star, the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 10.
He held life memberships in Ashlar Masonic Lodge 29, the Billings Scottish Rite, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6774, and the International Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1172.
Survivors include a daughter, Valerie McNeill; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Uttley, Rita Weideman and Betty Mackey; and a brother, Thomas Prentiss.
Donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or any of his fraternal organizations.
Services were on Jan. 5 at Cremation or Funeral Gallery.
LAUREL HOLLOWAY
GILBERT, Ariz. - Laurel Ann Holloway, 72, of Gilbert, Ariz., died May 25, 2003.
A memorial for family and friends is planned for late June.
Laurel was born on Aug. 22, 1930, at Rudyard to Ralph and Lottie Koefod. She attended Montana State University and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority.
She married
Frank Holloway in 1950.
Her family will miss her warm sense of humor and strong will.
Laurel is survived by he sister, Kathleen Van Luchene of Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Pamel Holloway of Estes Park, Utah, and Wendy Lambros of Gilbert; and a grandson.
